#1 Re : Deck and Strategy » Discard deck » 05-11-2012 06:26:16

There is a Noz discard deck based solely on [card]Magic Servant[/card],[card] Beyond Vision[/card], and [card]Mental Siphon[/card] with defensive cards for survival like double clay etc.

#2 Re : Deck and Strategy » Discard deck » 03-11-2012 23:22:24

Running one or two [card]Double Clay[/card] is important for the turn one aggro decks, [card]Ventriloquism[/card] or [card]A New Start[/card] for large decks or ones with recurrence, [card]Festivities[/card] is a nice toolbox when you are using Psych and Alyce, [card]Dragon Sacrifice[/card] is decent for mage decks (generally it's best to pitch your first panic with it), [card]Prestige[/card] or [card]Contortion[/card] for dealing with key threats in the opposing deck, and [card]Suspicion of Treason[/card] is an excellent counter card...

Besides these, your core deck is going to be [card]Indigestion[/card], [card]Panic[/card], and [card]Treacherous[/card] with a side order of [card]Zwindle[/card], [card]Mental Siphon[/card], and [card]Blackmail[/card].

Some people would argue Zwindle is better than Treacherous, but I prefer Treacherous because there is no choice, you must discard. Keep Blackmail to less than 3. Any more than that, you clog the deck/lower spirit making Treach useless...

#3 Re : Deck and Strategy » Unrepentant version of Marlok? » 03-11-2012 23:01:39

They turn into [card]Golemarlok[/card]... Not that great of a character, but interesting as he is Mage/Warrior, Human/Golem, and maximizes the use of [card]Steal[/card]. Still, just a mediocre character.

Besides Thunder King, who else can use attracts lightning that aren't pirates? Do you mean multi-guilded characters that are also pirates?

#5 Re : Suggestions » Overpowered guilds » 12-09-2012 21:27:09

The admiral has a built in Fake Death, only better because she gets an additional health with the only restriction being either (I believe) a powder item or fire spell which seems oh so hard to do in that deck </sarcasm>. Pirates have 9 kinds of ways to get rid of powder tokens including, but not limited to, characters like Flammara and the outdated Armada that do it automatically and get bonuses for doing so. Then there are cards like the aforementioned [card]Lost scroll from Kan-del[/card] that increases damage output and removes powder tokens FURTHER empowering Flames. This deck is very powerful when built right. I'm not QQ'ing. Pirates used to be one of my favorite guilds to play as until all of their decks became out dated and the new cards way too expensive. I was with them all the way just past SARAH. Then I sold my Feminist deck and moved to Zil.

As for Sap... I see no OP here. Not only do very few people play sap anymore, very few people know how to put a good version of those decks together. Their decks are probably the MOST technical in Eredan (even more so than Terror Clowns imo). Yes they have some ridiculous cards like the new legendary, but to put a deck together that hasn't been nerfed or outdated but has enough synergy to run well consistently is difficult. Props to whoever made you think Sap is OP.

Also what do you think of Light Kaes? would there be a better choice?

First off, I'm pretty sure I played you in the level room with my Terror Clowns, and it was a close match. Anyway, I personally would go with Asajiro to make some of the Kotoba cards more worth putting in your deck like Masamune's Armor and also making Tantadian Spear a little more desirable. Also Asajiro makes your deck run a little faster giving all of your other characters +1 attack and getting +2 attack himself on his order bonus (Making beyond fear and reproach a better combo for him). I wouldn't level Living dagger up though. +2 health at the end of turn could be what saves you when a Feminist tosses a stink bomb your way turn 1.

#8 Re : Deck and Strategy » According to you, what's the best deck on eredan itgc? » 10-09-2012 02:14:55

The best decks are ones you come up with yourself. They generally use event specific cards from different events, and unique cards most inexperienced players wouldn't have. They involve strategy that is unique to that deck so the opponent either doesn't know how to counter it, or doesn't run the specific counter needed. You want the deck to be very efficient at what it does, so generally keeping the card volume to 20-25 is a good idea depending on what your deck does. Depending on how fast your deck runs (via play testing) you may or may not want to run toolbox counters like [card]Dissidenz[/card] or [card]The Secret of the Crow[/card].

Legendaries usually help making a "Best" deck due to their pure awesome power, but you may run into people expecting them and preparing counters (ie [card]Anathematize[/card] to counter [card]A New Start[/card]). Think outside the box like the first person to figure out that Lightning Mages should only run 2 different spells (or 4 if running [card]Mastery[/card] and [card]Break the Second Chain[/card]), or like the first person to build Noz discard with [card]Beyond Vision[/card] and [card]Mental Siphon[/card].

Remember there are essentially 4 ways to win: Outlasting your opponent, out killing your opponent, discarding your opponent, and getting more points. Outlasting is kind of like putting discarding and out killing into one category, but the method is completely different than either (see: Temple Guardians). Focus on one main win condition, and add a secondary condition for flexibility.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Following these guidelines and making a deck that is fun for you to play will always produce a "best" deck. Maybe not a 100% win ratio deck, but that ruins the fun of actually playing. In my personal opinion, net decking is terrible unless you either put your own flavor in it by adding/removing cards that suit your own play style or using that particular deck against AI. It's hard to come up with a deck not posted here because there are very obvious themed decks in this game, but there are a wide enough variety of cards now to make your own version of these decks too.

#9 Re : Suggestions » Gift feature » 06-09-2012 07:09:43

I don't think gifting cx is a bad thing, in the right amount. 50 cx daily gift should be plenty.

As far as other gifting, daily gifts aren't bad as long as they are regulated. Like most days are a random common with a 5% chance for an uncommon; once or twice a week a random uncommon with a 5% chance for a rare; and once or twice a month a random rare with a 1% chance for a legendary/collectible. These days are random and you have to log in to see which one you can gift today.

As most days will just be random commons some people will lose interest in this feature and forget to gift and such, thus making the one or two rares a month truly a gift from someone paying attention. Plus that, it will increase traffic from players who ARE looking for the rare day.

If you go by facebook rules limiting the number of gifts you can send, 10 daily should be plenty, and no more than 1 to a single player.

+1 to your original input on this topic though

#10 Re : Deck and Strategy » Courtesan or Pirate Deck » 03-09-2012 07:46:57

A. Your pirate deck only has 18 cards.

B. Pocket Shooters and burning fires are a must x3 (only reduce CoP and Nw by 1 each)

C. Remove:
1x analyze
1x fortune and glory
1x the plank
1x outlaw

--------------------------------------------

This deck is all about shooting and killing. The best defense is a good offense, as they say. Distracted is nice if you plan on having a turn 5 for a combo Stink Bomb + (Insert gun here).

Nurvus a écrit :

I have quit myself a few times when all I get is crappy cards...

^Reason #5

Solution - Implement a MTG style mulligan (ie if you redraw, you draw one less card).

Result - Fewer instances of rage quit over a good deck being poorly drawn.

Drawback - Abuse for first turn combos, which may instigate a prior reason for quitting.

Are you planning on staying a free to play or are you looking into buying packs and or trophies?

#13 Re : Deck and Strategy » king of the hill » 25-08-2012 20:18:11

There was a deck posted a while ago that the guy who won the first one posted that was only 20 or so cards with sarah and galene and ica. I'll link it back here when I find it.

... The possibility of 3 dreads being played in the same turn by Ceaches on his turn order seems a bit scary to me.

+14 Att
-6 def
-3 spt

That OHKO's anything that doesn't play vanish or counters on that turn.

#15 Re : Discussions about Eredan iTCG » Bad Luck? » 24-08-2012 05:52:06

I have a 100% Win ratio against MSS with zil discard. The trick is not trying to keep all of your characters alive (just focusing on either Aby or Alyce) and timing your burst discards.

Psych, Aby, and Alyce
Anethmatize x1
Blackmail x3
Conjuring x1
Double Clay x2
Festivities x1
Indigestion x3
It is time x2
Mental Siphon x1
Panic x3
Pickpocket x3
Treacherous x2

(This is only altered by reducing 5 cards from my normal PvP version such as Suspicion of Treason, Dragon Sacrifice (nice against mages pitching the first panic), and a couple others). I am a F2P player (I get free fee'z occasionally from offers), so most of these cards are doable with the exception of festivities if you don't already have it or have free offers to get it with.

#16 Re : Discussions about Eredan iTCG » August 22th 2012 : Nadarya / Absalon - Privus » 24-08-2012 03:17:27

Just saying... Nadarya spelled backwards looks an awful lot like Eredan, and sounds like it too (at least how I pronounce it).

#17 Re : Deck and Strategy » best line up for WB? » 24-08-2012 03:02:45

Just saying Nadarya is Ayradan (cough Eredan cough) spelled backwards.

#18 Re : Deck and Strategy » Mercenary Deck » 23-08-2012 01:27:12

Maybe something like
Marzhan + Marquis + Thunder King?

#19 Re : Deck and Strategy » Sand of the Arenas Guide » 23-08-2012 01:25:00

Baby Shulong, Yilith, and Kaes (Light)

Kaes might die pretty quick, but he will give the other two even more survivability.

#20 Re : Suggestions » Unstoppable cards + played card limit » 09-08-2012 23:41:21

IDEA!!!!!!!

<NAME><CLASS><GUILD><STATS> <=== All negotiable
Whenever a card you play is ignored, a copy of that card is created and played.

---------
That way, the card is still cancelled, it still messes up the order of the cards played (which can still cancel the effects of the card pending on its effects), but the cards still get to be played. Maybe a legendary character effect? And this is a global effect, not just applied to the character, but to the player.

Another idea would be:
Whenever a card that is played becomes ignored, it gets placed in your deck at the end of the fight.

Less legendary version that has an up side and a down side. You get your countered cards back AND your opponents. It could flood your deck with useless cards or fill it with game winners of your opponents while you cancel their cards.

#21 Re : Deck and Strategy » Returning Player Struggling - Help Please! » 09-08-2012 22:33:05

I think Bard would be a more appropriate term than courtesan considering they have so many musical endeavors.

Otherwise they are literally screwing you over.

#22 Re : Deck and Strategy » Courtesan Unknown Deck » 09-08-2012 21:40:23

Then I would take wrong note out altogether. That way old score always gets a Sitar Hero.

#23 Re : Deck and Strategy » Courtesan Unknown Deck » 09-08-2012 20:52:25

Alright, so to compile the cards suggested:

[card]Old Score[/card] x2
[card]Aura of the divine warrior[/card] x2
[card]Sitar Hero[/card] x3
[card]Wrong Note[/card] x2
[card]Circle in A minor[/card] x2
[card]You Wouldn't dare[/card] x1
[card]Hungry Void[/card] x1
[card]Cheksathet's Vision[/card] x1
[card]Confab[/card] x1
[card]Enchanted Harp[/card] x1
[card]Scheme[/card] x1
[card]Dissidence[/card] x1
[card]Tea Ceremony[/card] x2
[card]Maelstrom[/card] x1

Additional cards including:

[card]Temporalis[/card]
[card]A New Start[/card]
[card]Sentence[/card]
[card]Dismemberment[/card]
[card]Revenge[/card]
[card]Festivities[/card]
Additional copies of Tea Ceremony, Aura of the divine warrior, Old Score, and Divine Note

#24 Re : Deck and Strategy » Returning Player Struggling - Help Please! » 09-08-2012 20:26:41

Mages are being kicked to the curb by courtesans. They play AoE direct damage, which is much harder to defend against, but they could also play a chain card with it (which mages cannot chain if they play an AoE). If I were you, I'd just find a card you fall in love with and build a deck around it. You never know, you could make a new build no one ever thought of and change a lot of deck strategies.

#25 Re : Deck and Strategy » Courtesan Unknown Deck » 09-08-2012 20:19:33

Other cards that are nice are cards like Dismemberment, Maelstorm, Storm, Rain of Arrows, and any other AoE DD cards you can get a hold of.
