Ok i'm digging this thread but there was no reason to open a new one about the same subject.

So i've been farming this boss lately (no luck yet either) but i've a bad ratio against him and sometimes i use favors to guarantee the victory. I'm using discard and it flows kinda well however the boss has some kind of stupid luck:
- He never gets [card]target locked[/card] discarded...
- He deals max damage 90% of the time, 1-shotting me easily, especially after turn 4...
- He always deals direct damage on hidden effect after he left my character with 2hp, it even killed one of my off-combat char with 3hp once -_-

Is he really OP or am i doing something wrong?
Can anyone recommend any other deck? I tried ice elves, SARAH+crafts and demonic portal, none seems to work.

Drops also suck, usually only ONE card and its common or uncommon. I got 1 [card]attracts lightning[/card] but i dont even have pirate mages and can't sell it

What boss are you figthing? Mystic slayer shadow?

perversion is a first kill drop. it shouldnt drop again.
people with more than one collector perversion, got it from its release or special event-shop.
but the demon-guardian does drop as often as you like.

I am using Zil Discard as well but i die quite easily! I win too sometimes but its like a 25% rate, i've killed it like 20 times and no mystic slayer drop, i just wanna raise the probability because, well, 25%, really .___. That's what i tried to explain...

Also i can't fully understand the discard mechanism, i've read explanations but its not consistent to what i see. Sometimes the boss has less than 5 cards in hand and none in the deck at the end of the turn but the game doesn't end, he survives just another turn (to kill me -.-) It's annoying like hell!

I'm not familiar with Crow discard, it's actually the first time i hear about it

IHAS seems to work against most adventure fights but i don't have it

I finally got [card]facepierce gloves[/card] today by farming amnezy with an all merc deck comprised of alchemy cards only, worked much better then the hit and miss queen deck I was using before. So just something to consider if you have some good matter cards from this event you can use em to farm bosses you might have been having trouble with.

I have a 100% Win ratio against MSS with zil discard. The trick is not trying to keep all of your characters alive (just focusing on either Aby or Alyce) and timing your burst discards.

Blackmail x3
Conjuring x1
Double Clay x2
Festivities x1
Indigestion x3
It is time x2
Mental Siphon x1
Panic x3
Pickpocket x3
Treacherous x2

(This is only altered by reducing 5 cards from my normal PvP version such as Suspicion of Treason, Dragon Sacrifice (nice against mages pitching the first panic), and a couple others). I am a F2P player (I get free fee'z occasionally from offers), so most of these cards are doable with the exception of festivities if you don't already have it or have free offers to get it with.

Cyanide: my strategy was different, i actually put a couple defensive cards and it raised my ratio drastically as long as i didn't get 1HKO it went just fine...

that also happen to me
bought 3 then get 1 from booster and 2 from AM
so i sell the first 3 with full exp
