Thank you very much.
Maybe I won't be stuck quite as long as I expect to be then...

#2 Re : Update list » Valentyne quest not working. » 15-02-2012 06:30:56

I'm already frustrated by this.
I accidentally clicked on a mission and now I'm stuck in it.
Also I don't see any announcement posted here about these missions...
At least it is a creative idea, though I think I'll skip it.

#3 Re : Update list » Xzia New Year! » 30-01-2012 18:46:40

I'm just putting my two cents in, though its not really that different than what other people said.

First off, I like the idea of the auction.
Secondly, I like the special card and had been eager to work for it...
But then I saw/did the math for what was required to get it.

On reading the announcement I had planned to buy packs so I could get enough luans for them both... But on doing the math I decided not to.

Obviously there are people who are shelling out the money for luans but I wanted to let people (Feerik) know there is at least one person who would have spent money who isn't based on principal. There prices aren't reasonable for this event, so although I could spend money towards it, I won't.

Hopefully the next one will be more reasonable.

I beat him, though, and got a 10XP card? Bummer... smile

your getting more than me the last 2 fights ,nothing not even a favor

I actually beat him a second time last night, and no reward. Interesting others are having this issue as well. Maybe they changed the reward system now?

I'm pretty sure they said the rewards were random.

#5 Re : Update list » New trophy: The Ethereal » 05-01-2012 17:28:00

Another interesting trophy.
Basically you are making a deck using the Magic:TG method of maxing out a select few cards.
Sadly this is a trophy I won't even try for, I don't have the funds to get 3 of all the cards I would require to make a competitive deck...
Still, I approve of this trophy!

20 cards sounds a bit ... too much.

Definitely too much, that's 8 more cards in the same time frame than previous.
On the bright side, it does mean they can release new concepts "in bulk" rather than making people wait a long time...

#8 Re : Suggestions » Vip status » 04-01-2012 17:35:07

Interesting idea and something I would consider taking advantage of.

I disagree with the auto fight and word bubble.
Auto fight could require some substantial changes to the program and the word bubble only really works in a single language environment.

I also agree with the suggestion to include a set amount of Feez each month...

There won't be 6 cards releases anymore. From now (and every two weeks), there will only be 20 cards releases. Between these releases new campaigns and new rewards in the Adventure mode will be available (then, every two weeks too). To summarize:
- This week (week 1): 2 new campaigns (Adventure mode).
- Next week (week 2): 20 cards release.

I think this is an excellent change in schedule though I personally wish it was 10 card releases instead. Having too many new cards is just discouraging, and this almost doubles the amount of new cards being released... (IE - more bugs and potential balance issues)

I highly approve of regularly receiving new campaigns. Those are a lot of fun so far.

Basically what the current market system wants me to do is sell some cards in very high demand at a very low price and buy another card that is in surplus for a high price. For me it looks like a terrible deal. So the only rational decision is to wait for the price of demon may rise to increase and for the price of Dark Ritual to decrease.

So it sounds like what you are proposing is linking the price to the amount of supply?

#11 Re : Suggestions » Marketplace Fix 2012 » 04-01-2012 07:04:38

Nurvus a écrit :

Maybe you guys aren't getting this.

The price would still fluctuate, but the cards would always be there.
To avoid monopolizing, a maximum price would be enforced.
To avoid losing value, a minimum price would be enforced.

This way it would be similar to the current situation, you could still make profit, but you couldn't ruin it for others by holding onto cards required to upgrade other cards, and later selling them at ridiculous prices.

It's the only 2 things this is preventing:
- Cards that can't be upgraded because their reagents aren't available
- Cards that are too expensive because of this

I can't be sure, but I'm pretty sure the majority of the price is not because of hoarding. Its because of demand... We have a system which removes them from circulation, so the supply is constantly dwindling...

The problem is not hoarding, its decreasing supply...
And the proper fix to that is to have the shop, not the market, sell those cards which are consumable. They should be at a set price and have a constant source.

Working against this is the nature of of CCG. Even though this is an online game, the spirit of being a collectable card game is still important. You cannot have an unlimited supply of anything... Supply is supposed to be limited.

#12 Re : Deck and Strategy » Adventure Deck » 03-01-2012 20:32:33

I just saw that card for the first time the other day...
Which trophy was it from?
(and is it in the shop)

#13 Re : Suggestions » Marketplace Fix 2012 » 03-01-2012 18:24:49

Though I would love to have all base cards available on the market, I do not think this would be a good change.

I might be able to agree with it if it were just all secondary cards required for evolutions were available though... After all those cards are continuously being removed from circulation without being replaced... And this should be done in the shop instead of in the market...

#14 Re : Update list » The Ice Elf + The Providential in the store! » 03-01-2012 18:17:07

This is definitely an interesting trophy, though it is highly unlikely I'll get it.
I don't win with enough consistency to be able to get 30 wins with a set condition like that...

It isn't impossible though... I really wish it was 3 cards instead of 2 tongue
Seriously, for whatever reason I can't count and I keep winning games with 3 left.

Overall I highly approve of this trophy.

A quick question about Registration Tickets.
Are these ONLY useful for this series or events, or will they have a use in the future?

For instance, if I were to just buy a bunch of packs, and save the tickets... Would it do me any good? Or would they just sit there adding to my collection.

Thanks

EDIT: Just bought some packs. The tickets specifically say they will be removed from your inventory at a set time.

Well, from the looks of it you might as well call it the demon hunters tournament. I use them, the entire top 10 seems to use them, everybody uses them. I literally haven't seen anything but demon hunters for at least 10 fights!

They seem to have just a tad bit too many good non-rare cards tongue

That's a little frustrating...
I like some variety in who I play.
Maybe I won't sign up after all. sad

Get this: There isn't equality. There never will be. Go try and play MtG and see if you can play or compete for free. Bad example? Try Warstorm before it got run over by being bought out and completely destroyed afterwards.

F2P can play, they can compete to a decent level, but they'll never be on a playing field with people who pay to play. It's a benefit to actually investing in the game and allowing it to continue though funding the company to pay its staff and servers. It's like a thank you, and with it, comes extra benefits and extra events/bonuses. F2P are riding on paying customers backs for free.

If you don't like the model, no one is forcing you to play. But I'm getting quickly tired of every single pay-to-play event being derided by you simply because there is no F2P option, or that it isn't good enough, or some other "woe is me" and it's going to stop, now.

This is possible the best explanation of the system I have seen and does help to clearly put things into perspective.

Also, I highly approve of the setup for this tournament. Common/Uncommon cards only so theoretically low spending players have a relatively fair chance. Am I right in assuming this means no collector's cards as well? Plus you are just buying a pack and getting a free tournament to go along with it. That's enough to convince me, a low paying player, to give it a chance. (Unfortunately I'm stuck without a computer most of this weekend... so I'll get at most one or two)

And to top it all off, if you play three you get the 4th free because packs contain tickets. So not only do you get to play in 4 tournaments, you get 4 packs for the price of 3...

Just my two cents.

EDIT: I just got my free pack and it does NOT contain tickets. So you need to either pay to play, or buy packs. Prize packs don't count.

Just out of curiosity? Why the guild change? Doesnt that take away from the synergy of the Ice Elves as Mercs? If just one of them is a Sap Heart how does that improve/hurt them as a race?

I think that is exactly the point, the Ice Elves are Mercs. This particular Merc works well with Sap Hearts. I think its done to give them additional flexibility for working with the other guilds...

#20 Re : Update list » Ice elves » 28-12-2011 18:10:59

First off, to make it clear, I am replying because I want to discuss not troll or be argumentative... I'm not sure how my comments will come across though.

TPPK a écrit :

The points and what they enable:
* With 15 points every one hour and fifteen minutes you get 0~3 cards lets take an average of 1.5 cards.
* Average playtime is 10 hours a day so that is 3x 60 (points start at 60 overnight)
* Beating a boss takes 2~4 turns with no waiting periods so that is an average of 2 minutes including waiting time.
* People usually play Eredan before they depart to work, a quick 3 adventures is more satisfying as only two and the annoying fact you have to wait to play a third game.

Where is this average playtime coming from? Are you saying people play 10 hours of games a day? or that there are 10 hours in which for points to recharge?

And that people play before going to work is probably an incorrect assumption. Unless they are morning people, or work late in the day, most people I know are in too much of a hurry to play before work! (or school) I would certainly be pleased if I had the time too...

Can't argue that a quick 3 is better than a quick 2!

TPPK a écrit :

* The new boosters system disrupted the inflow of new cards having a chance to get some old cards in hands is very satisfying (2)

Agreed. Though I think the new system is an important step towards stabilizing the market. Of course it would require them to re-release key older cards in later acts instead of some of the new releases... As a card game evolves with time and new cards, some older cards should leave the system...

TPPK a écrit :

Conclusion:
- 23 points for a battle makes people leave with an annoyed face to work, making them think twice to pay again for Eredan cards. So that is a nono.

- The random cards are too random and insufficient to build decks from them and they don't affect the market so they are not a problem.

- The random cards aid newer players in obtaining older cards to upgrade their Iros, lightning bolts, fireballs, etc...

Final conclusion: The adventure mode points system was never broken so revert it to 15 points again.

I admit it, I'm amused by your phrasing about leaving with an annoyed face to work, but I can agree with your meaning. 23 is an annoying number to work...

I am not necessarily opposed to the points increase for subsequent attempts costing more provided that you already got the key dropped card. It slightly reduces people farming adventures for other cards or experience.

Oh, and while the influx of cards doesn't really impact the market, it does impact deck balance among players... but I do think its in a good way...

But anyways, thanks for posting your thoughts!

Adventure mode modifications
- Energy Point costs for The Treasure of Zahal have been modified: 5 points instead of 6 and 10 instead of 15 for the last mission.<br>
- Energy Point costs for each campaign's last missions have been re-evaluated. Each one costs now 23 Energy Points if you play it again beyond the first victory.

Enjoy the Game !

Eredan iTCG, The Trading Card Game.

Am I reading this right?
The final mission costs 23 energy points is you play it again beyond the first victory...
Or in other words it is 15 points until you beat it, then it is 23 after?

I can't login to check the game right now, my corporate firewall blocks it, so instead I'm asking!

Maybe it is a bold suggestion but wouldn't a subforum for the adventure be a good idea?
As a way to part quests/adventure decks, rewards, suggestions, stupid AI, bugs, etc...  topics from the usual eredan forums.

We definitely need at least separate threads for this...
A thread to discuss strategies/winnings/whatever for each adventure arc...
Having its own subforum could be nice too.

I beat every single adventure chapter. The Ursend one more than 3x each and the boss more than 10 times back to back without losing once. Still no Mystic Slayer's Shadow sad Adventure mode is getting old quick. Also the replay incentive is pretty bad because the rewards seem to keep getting crappier and crappier. I'm definitely winning the $500,000,000 lottery before getting this "random price card"...

It would be nice if the "random prize card" was instead awarded with a trophy for completing a quest line. That way everyone would be guaranteed the prize they sought and people would have a clear indication of how many quests they have left.

I went through most of one arc without getting any cards. Another arc gave me nothing but the special bonus cards. (though in fairness, I liked getting those).

Still, I am quite pleased with this mode. I admit it, I prefer getting crushed by the computer than the other players.

#25 Re : Deck and Strategy » Adventure Deck » 22-12-2011 16:54:35

I don't think there is one set strategy for them because they each have different play styles...

And I was just thinking it would be great if people could start threads on this board for each particular adventure mission... because there is so much talk on the announcement, and it is jumping from boss/adventure so much it gets really hard to follow...
