#1 Re : Suggestions » Power Creep, Old Cards & Soft Counters » 15-07-2011 04:25:07

Okay I see better what you are saying, sorry was a tad exhausted upon first read. My only issue as one of "those" players is the collection trophies and then me needing to use more cards on new things, and then not having three of this card anymore (as I am a collector too). Not to say it's a bad idea though.

#2 Re : Suggestions » Power Creep, Old Cards & Soft Counters » 14-07-2011 05:52:20

Interesting idea, but I don't agree. It's just the nature of the beast. Times change, games progress, and some cards just collect dust. Sometimes they get synergy later again, and sometimes they are like a mushroom (Buried in the dark and covered in shi...).

New players can afford the cards as they are cheap, and can expand their collection. Older players move on to the new stuff, as we have played with the old. Not every card gets to be amazing, some need to suck, and just be filler. That's not to say any card could be great in the right situation though.

As for it being a "power creep", decks are slowly becoming more balanced, and guilds that used to just be played for fun are now becoming competitive. If you have ever bought cards in real life for a TCG, then I expect you had a box or five of just common everyday, every pack cards. Well this is a TCG , albeit an iTCG, but a TCG non the less.

Well as nonconstructive as this may be....

+1 to what Glash said

Surmises anything I could have said and have nothing else to add upon it.

#5 Re : Discussions about Eredan iTCG » Let us discuss the Nehantist guild. » 12-07-2011 03:41:01

How often do you come across a Nehantist deck?  Which Room?
Recently I have had a decline in my areas of playing, and won't count training room run ins. With said decline in my playing, can't really say much about ELO encounters either. Level room encounters I notice running into them about as much as anything I guess. Now as for what you run into arch type wise varies greatly. Pure corruption decks, pure demon decks, DMR/portal decks, and control are how I classify the current decks. DMR/Portal decks are probably the most frequent, followed by pure corruption, with the occasional demon build, and lastly control which I attribute to the usual "ball dropping" I will refer to more later. Overall I see them about as much as any other deck that requires a decent some of crystals to get the vital elements too.

Do you play this guild?  If so, for what reason?
I play every guild, so yes I do play them, and I play them for the reason I play every other guild. The better question is do I enjoy playing this guild, and that is a resounding yes. I like two types of themes in tcg's, discard/mill, and control. I enjoy control more so then discard/mill, and the strategy required to win gives satisfaction. I play them because they can offer those elements I enjoy from other tcg's I have played in the past.

Is the Nehantist guild competitive in Elo? if so with which type of deck?
As stated earlier my ELO play has taken a hit, and is the area I can devote the least amount of time to do it right anymore. Are they competitive to an extent, and as others have stated with the recent discard bans have made them show up more as they can actually hang for a few more turns without having to discard the rest of their hand every turn. DMR/Portal, and corruption decks are what I have seen doing well, but when you face the right players a well placed The Prestige can solve either deck fast by removing portal or desolation pretty much stopping both decks right in their tracks.

What is your opinion on the history of the Nehantists?
Well can't say much about their history as Feerik doesn't regularly offer the story to any community but the French. Luckily we have a player from our fine English community trying his best to translate it and catch us up. Still that's very disrespectful in my eyes, that all communities can't have it in their language. I mean hey our money is good enough to buy your cards, and apparently you can put the news in applicable languages. Just don't see how it could be that hard to translate this as well.

What is your opinion on the gameplay of the Nehantists?
Still needs more fleshing out. As always too many play styles trying to be introduced, with cards not coded to work as they should, and missing holes that are never filled until a later release. Still the game play is unique and fun, albeit predictable.

Do you like / dislike their style of play and cards offered to them?
I like them yes, I don't like half of the cards needed for certain decks don't fully work as they should, or even work at all.

Is their anything that strikes you as interesting with the Nehantists (Graphics, game play, Etc..)?
No more then any other guild.

Is their anything that strikes you as boring with the Nehantists (Graphics, game play, Etc..)?
Again, no more then any other guild.

Do you think there is a way to improve the Nehantist gameplay?
Again flesh out the concepts to cover holes. Fix what isn't working, diversify options to create more unpredictability. This how ever basically applies to all guilds.

On a side note:
For those that are unaware there is even a story, or would like to keep up with it  http://wiki.eredan.com/index.php?title=US:Universe, Jackal19 has been working hard to try and get us caught up to current times. The translation is a little rough, but still comes across.

As for the "ball dropping" I referred to I will be posting a separate topic on that should I find a way to remain civil about it. Or will be contacting the staff and will then show their response to the problem this pertains to for everyone to see.

#6 Re : Discussions about Eredan iTCG » Feedback and opinions on the Magus Event. » 07-07-2011 19:46:31

Freedom of speech is fine and dandy. I am all for it as well, but upon entering the forums had you actually read the rules and regulations, that behavior they locked said topics for is against what you agreed upon when deciding to post here.

They are not stopping people from saying how they feel, they are asking them to be civil about it, which is a huge difference.

#7 Re : Discussions about Eredan iTCG » Feedback and opinions on the Magus Event. » 07-07-2011 18:22:30

Well...

The lack of forewarning for these events is still an issue with me. People spent money yesterday on new releases only to be surprised yet again which just isn't right. I for one, along with others like to spend once, or possibly can only afford to get feez once a week. Not too hard to make these go with a release or give us at least a warning on new card release day if one is coming up on the weekend following. You still get your money for us purchasing, but we get more opportunity to play in these things, and get the needed cards.

As for the we can't do things for free crowd, well win some, lose some. You don't always get something for nothing, and out of all the f2p games I have ever encountered, especially in a tcg environment, they are more then generous towards you.

They run a business, not a charity. If you don't like their events as Rath said then don't support them in what you don't like, and support them when you do. If you don't support them at all, well you have no right to complain about something you have invested nothing but time into.

#8 Re : The Clans » +Breathless » 06-07-2011 07:44:31

you and your queer guild names....well we have discussed this so we will see how it goes before I officially say yes

#9 Re : Discussions about Eredan iTCG » Paladins Hammer » 23-05-2011 03:10:35

Smash That Iron, or Freeze come to mind. Smash being the better option as it's playable by all classes. Sure there are a few more I have forgotten, but anything that can remove equipment is all you need.

#10 Re : Suggestions » Deck Building » 19-05-2011 18:15:49

The only reason I see this not implemented is the fact it would force you to buy more. If you want to have 2 decks with 3 assassinations each, you would either have to market buy, or get more packs to try and obtain them. Not that I agree or like that theory, but a theory none the less.

#11 Re : Discussions about Eredan iTCG » Eredan iTCG and its problems as of late~ [Add your opinions!] » 13-05-2011 23:25:20

Well, where do I even begin with this. Seeing as I am not the most active here in the forums, as I am just not a forum person, and coupled with the fact the few posts I have made here got little to no feedback from the company; I feel like this is wasted typing.

Some of you may know me, some may not, and I don't want to be "that guy"; but I am getting rather irked with the money I spend not going to good use. So I will start with the thing that annoys me the most, which relates to the bugs. I have my suspicions the play testers, which I think do exist, are not doing their job properly. First example Port. If you are going to release a card with this kind of power you need to make sure it is balanced and works properly. Namely removal of it by some means. Now to my knowledge at the time of its release Items Have a Soul, and Draconium may have been the only two cards to remove it from play, and should have been tested with it, as opposed to it just getting fixed from what I read less then or up to a week ago. So I am left to presume that the play testers don't know what they are doing, or just don't care. If you want to take this as a personal attack fine, but I expect things to be worked out as it is your responsibility to do so.

This leads to the weekly releases, and I am all for the company making money, and understand the story tie in of card releases being their "thing". However it does get tiresome, and a bi-weekly, or even better a monthly release could serve the same purpose. This gives the time to test the cards, find the balance, fix the bugs, and also gives players time to save up, which could lead to bigger purchases. They don't have to be bigger releases even really, but as I already stated I see the marketing value of what they are doing, and how they are trying to separate themselves from the rest.

Which now leads me to something I have posted about in the past. The card pool is too big, and needs to be separated into acts at the very least, which leads us to be able to go after a certain block of cards rather then everything at once. It's just ridiculous plain and simple, and rather rude to those of us trying to build collections, making me feel once again unappreciated as a paying customer.

Which leads me finally to why do I even play, and continue to buy things from the company when I am apparently not happy. I still have hopes for this game, and its potential. The recent tournament overhaul, and daily quests have given me more of a reason to play which I need at my stage of this game. The weekly trophy has become even less of a drawing point for the fact the cards just are not useful as of late. I don't expect a card the caliber of Time to Die every week, but something useful at least.

In closing, I want you guys to succeed and be around a while. I am supporting how I can, and once again giving you feedback. Hopefully you will see I am not alone, the community is feeling neglected, we want simple things like communication, your jobs done well, and the basics of what make any business successful. Hopefully you will use this as the opportunity to make things what they should be, and improve even further to ensure longevity. I sadly won't be holding my breath though with the track record we have seen. Please don't ignore us, and start communicating, or try to start cloning more Dantes.

#12 Re : Bugs » Solaris + The best defense » 12-05-2011 20:29:59

That is not how The Best Defense is calculated. It takes the base printed Armor score, so lets say it's 3, and adds on +1 for every card modifying the def, so let's say they have 2 hot noodles, +2 more, and are Kotoba with Asajiro in play, +1 more from his ability buff.

That would make 3 (armor score)+ 2 (for 2 noodles)+ 1 (for Asajiro's ability) = a total of 6.

Hope this helps you understand how said card works.

So I have been dragging my feet on posting this, as I don't have a screen shot or anything, and wasn't sure how I really felt about it. [card]Shadow Idol[/card] is not immune to [card]Panic[/card], and after talking with a few other players, I have come to believe it should be able to block Panic.

[card]Dark Stone Heart[/card] blocks spell damage that effects your character, yet Freeze isn't stopped by it as it effects the items. Now why would I bring this up, well the problem I see is that Panic also doesn't do direct damage, and is effecting your hand. Which brings up the question of where your hand comes into play in the realm of possession.

[card]Treacherous[/card] states the opposing player, Panic says character, and [card]Mental Syphon[/card] states opposing character as well. So if the card is effecting the character, then I believe Idol should block it as it is an effect on the character itself, unlike the situation with Freeze, and Dark Stone Heart.

So if we could get some clarification on this I would greatly appreciate it.

#15 Re : Bugs » Perversion Bug on Elfine Bow AOE Damage » 29-04-2011 02:02:53

Perversion is fully able to reduce the aoe damage. When played its an instant -3, after it's in place it negates -1 after that until it's removal from said character. Without full info or a screen shot of the scenario, we can not tell what the full situation is. Still I am sure you miscalculated, and instead of proving it's bugged just decided to complain because it beat you.

#16 Re : Bugs » Not receiving the crystalomancer trophy » 29-04-2011 01:58:19

I have had this happen a few times on trophies, normally playing another game, or in some cases signing out and back in registers it. If neither of those methods gets you the trophy I would suggest sending a ticket to them as well.

Third level Quilingo applies bonuses correctly.

Quilingo2.jpg

As shown underlined Quilingo is supposed to give other Guemelites Attack +1, and Defense +1. As seen in the game screen shot [card]Wreckwood[/card], who is a Nature Guemelite, is only getting the defense bonus. Now I know Quilingo in his third and final stage gives, the plus to attack and defense as well. So either this is a misprint, and should only give the defense bonus, or he needs fixed to allocate both bonuses correctly please.

I will also be re-edit this should he not work properly in his level three form either, unless someone else can give clarification on this.

When exactly do the tourney pay outs actually go into your funds? It seems they are severely delayed or you forgot to mention they are not given out right away.

Can't remember if I saw a bug post for this and didn't search every page. I played one today opponent had 3 items when it activated but nothing came off but it. Now granted I wouldn't be surprised if it could target itself with some of the decisions in this game. So basically wanting to know, can it target itself, and is this the reason nothing else item wise was removed?

#21 Re : Update list » Daily Quests + Amnezy Results! » 18-04-2011 18:57:49

Not to be a bragger or anything, but finally an easier way to get some much needed exp past level 20. Was wondering what I could do after exhausting all the trophies I did to get this high, finally I have some help in my drive to 25.

The crystals and card chance is cool as well, but seeing as my luck getting good cards from packs is crap enough, I am not to thrilled taking my chances here =p

Still a great new feature for everyone.

So wait....you mean we can't have unintelligent posts unless they are just made by people complaining about things not going their way?

Yeah that sounds intelligent, and reasonable....

As for Mr. Ass, he is proving quite fun to work with and has the ability to wipe you rather effectively, or get wiped....either way it's just dirty
