Tournament of the Million - Treachery
Crystals thunder is rumbling louder and louder!! Another 1 million crystals at stake this weekend!!
Dates:
From now on and until Sunday November 25th at 8:00 PM (French time).
Restrictions
Format: 3 characters + 20 to 50 Cards.
At the start of the game you have one chance out of two to have to exchange your deck with your opponent's.
Banned cards:
Ourenos, (all evolutions), Scragh. Lost Scroll from Kan-del
Rewards:
Open your eyes because the reward is exceptional! At least 1 million crystals will be distributed to the gamers!
1rst: 125.000 Cx guaranteed + 1250 Cx per registration beyond the 100th registration.
2nd: 85.000 CX guaranteed + 850 Cx per registration beyond the 100th registration.
3rd and 4th: 55.000 CX guaranteed + 550 Cx per registration beyond the 100th registration.
from the 5th to the 8th: 25.000 CX guaranteed + 250 Cx per registration beyond the 100th registration.
from the 9th to the 16th: 10.000 CX guaranteed + 100 Cx per registration beyond the 100th registration.
500.000 crystals will be shared between the gamers of the first third, with a fix value of 5.000 crystals per person if there are more than 100 registrations in this tournament.

Registration: 10.000 crystals or 400 Fee'z

so does the deck switch actually hapen AT ALL i built an entire deck around this concept played 10 games and it hasnt switched once

How is the concept false? It says you have a one in two chance (That's 50%) that the decks will switch. It's not Eredan's fault that you haven't gotten your decks switched yet. That's just how the odds work.

It's theoretically possible every game he plays won't switch his decks. All your equation proved is he's extremely unlucky.

Option A:
You have 50% chance of swapping decks.
Did the swap happen? Chance reduced to 1/3.
- It happened again? Chance reduced to 1/4.
It didn't happen? Chance increased to 2/3.
- It didn't happen again? Chance increased to 3/4.
Option B:
You have 50% chance of swapping decks.
If you don't swap decks for X times in a row, next time is automatic swap.
If you swap decks for X times in a row, next time it won't swap no matter what.
If player A has chance to automatic swap, and player B has chance to automatically not swap, the normal 50% chance is used.
There.
Either of the above options would make chance based games that are meant to be fun actually do what they're meant to do SOME of the time.

I did mention it on option B.
No need to mention on option A as it's obvious it cancels each other out.
The fractions I used as an example might not be exactly that.
It would be more like:
If you keep swapping -> 1/2 -> 1/3 -> 1/4 -> 1/5 -> 1/6
If you never swap -> 1/2 -> 2/3 -> 3/4 -> 4/5 -> 5/6
The odds might be (Player A's chance + Player B's chance) divided by 2.
So if player A swapped 4 times in a row and Player B didn't swap 4 times in a row, it's (1/6 + 5/6) / 2 = 1/2 = normal chance.

Personally, with such an odd gimmick I would think that they would have it set up to trigger more often. Because, by all of math's logic, someone can play the entire not and not have it trigger.
Adventure mode - made to have players try new decks. But Bosses are unbeatable.
