MY [card]The Pythia[/card] vs Their [card]Archmage Anryena[/card]
I play [card]Crystal Storm[/card] they use [card]Luminosity[/card]+[card]Illuminaion[/card]
Then between turn 1 and 2 i suffer that damage from crystal storm, but my opponent does not

Re : Compendium Vs Compendium

n with illumination he pulled out his own cristalstorm? so where is the bug?

arcmage anryena  : magicdmg taken -1 (all his compendium chars)
chevalier blanc de la jeanne d'arcania : turn 1+2 : dmg taken -3 (all his compemdium chars)

3 -1 -3 = 0 :-)

Re : Compendium Vs Compendium

you both got 2 cards in discard pill.
may be he played [card]the other side of the coin[/card] + illumination
and you something removing cards + illumination.
so his storm would have permanent 6 dmg.

and 6   -1(anryena) -3(blance) is 2 in my eyes

thats why asking

Re : Compendium Vs Compendium

Nope. he just used crystal storm and so did I. The 2 cards in our respective discard piles are cards that we discarded during the discard phase

Re : Compendium Vs Compendium

when recalling, i had something simalar with an furagu deck facing compendium, 1 or 2 weeks ago.
asajiro n furagu, got instand heal, but xin never, he all time took 3 dmg.
(only 3 dmg of pytias storm, the other storms not)

so maybe its a bug bout pytia and/or sylpide

Re : Compendium Vs Compendium

Or it is beginning of turn crazy-effect.

(For the ones who can understand French : http://forum.eredan.com/viewtopic.php?id=45781 )

To make the things simple :
If you have the initiative, your cards, including characters makes theirs effect of damage reduction correctly.
If you haven't initiative, things gone wild....
Crystal storm seems to activate before the damage reduction is in place.

Actually it is not mentioned as a bug.....
We are waiting for further detailed explanation about the mechanisms of the order of resolution of cards.
Especially in the beginning of turn....

Re : Compendium Vs Compendium

So youre saying that if You have initiative you're screwed? Because i have had initiative when this has happened. As well as opponent's initiative it happens. I happens between turn 2 and turn 3 as well. I dont get the reduction, but they do.

You said it was Your [card] The Pythia[/card] but picture shows it was his Pythia, pythia with pet that add's +1 magic damage.  It's why you took more damage if i'm looking at the pictures correctly.  but those pictures sure are small.

Re : Compendium Vs Compendium

The first and second game was my Pythia. My Pythia is tapped and so is his Blanche.  And anyway the Sylphide makes it 3 damage to all, but Blanche gives -3 so it should still have been nothing. As i have said it happens All the time. No matter who has initiative. If you could tellme how to enlarge i would.

Re : Compendium Vs Compendium

It's most certainly the resolution order thing.

Whoever gets initiative has his character and card effects go off first.

Essentially, whoever does NOT have initiative, takes damage BEFORE his OWN Blanche damage reduction takes effect.

Though I think this is simply BAD CODING.

Does that mean When I get initiative turn 1 I take damage on turn 2, but thy do not?
Would that then mean that if They had initiative on turn 1 that I would not take damage on turn 2?
