Eliminehantation VS Chiaroescuro

Hi,

I was playing against a zil priest deck with my nehants and I realized this problem with eliminehantation when played against Chiaroescuro.

It was my turn, I used elemine as my first card, so my opponent used only chiaroescuro. I payed the absurds 6 health -.- and the chiaroescuro didnt get negated. It got attached to him, healed him and damaged me. It happened 2 times on the same fight.

Evil is just a point of view >)

Re : Eliminehantation VS Chiaroescuro

[card]Eliminehantation[/card] is not like [card]obesity[/card].
The card is not annulled, the card is ignored.
Yes, I know the difference is very subtle.
But this mean that with eliminehantation, the current effect is ignored and the end of combat and end of turn effects remain.
So [card]Chiaroscuro[/card] stays on your opponent and heals him.

The staff answered to question of this subject that this is intended.

No bug here.

Re : Eliminehantation VS Chiaroescuro

You do realize Obesity and Eliminehantation have the same wording?

If it is different in french, maybe kill the translator?
Or at least express the importance of separating things that work differently?

Yes, I realize that :
[card]Anéhantissement[/card] : la prochaine ... est ignorée
[card]Obésité[/card] : la prochaine ... est annulée

Yes, you should kill the translator and keep a rope for the game designer with the two kind of behaviour. wink
By the way, I have checked in Deutsch and Spanish, different words are used.

Re : Eliminehantation VS Chiaroescuro

Okay now, how about we search some words to differentiate the wording between cards?

My suggestion for keywords are:

-Nullified: it means the next card played by opponent will be treated like a blank card until the end of turn and immediately discarded at the end of the fight, permanent card or card that last several turns would still be discarded because they still treated as blank

-Ignored: it means the next card played by the opponent will be treated like a blank card until the end of the fight it will take effect at the end of the fight so it will not be discarded if it have permanent or last several turn

"effects are Negated" sounds better

Elimenhantation - The effects of your opponent next Spell, Action, or Theurgy are negated.

Obesity - The next Action card played by your opponent is nullified (actually ignored sounds fine here)

Re : Eliminehantation VS Chiaroescuro

So to summarize, dont use it against priests. Discard them when your opponent use Treacherous or something else.

It will only kill you, it will do nothing and you'll pay half your full health.

The amount of health cost of this card is insane, specially against theurgies. And now that Ecstasy is banned.

Yes the two cards have different wording because someone in game design service screw the job and in development same thing.
They should have the same behaviour and the same wording.
For this one, English translation is better than original card....
