Event cards could get addad to the card shop for feez, 500-1k feez for an event card should be ok.

I was retired during the Scragh event and for the Fame of the winners one, and I feel cheated when someone plays cards I cannot get anymore.

+1 i fully agree with u. it feels kinda sad knowing that i will never be able to complete my DK unless i get nehant shield and especially Fame of the Winners...
Hell, i dont mind paying around 500-1000 feez for those cards. much better than wasting so much during the auctions

hi dude. yeah, i know it says chain action, i get it. but that doesnt mean that a non-action cant be played after it . in the example that i am giving, if u play in the name of the dragon+ temporalis, the card chosen by in the name of the dragon gets played after temporalis, simple as that, thus being counted as a chain.
This is the same if u play in the name+ power, if u choose a spell using in the name, power + 2 spirit, instead of + 2 attack. What i am asking is what happens if u choose chimera, do u get to copy chimera or u dont?

If you play in the name of the dragon + temporalis, and choose Chimera : on the next combat of the same character, you will have another Chimera (but the first one go to your discard).

Temporalis can copy non-action cards. But she chains only on action cards. Be creative wink

Thank you for clearing that up smile

hmm, is it just me or is this card epic for Dks using in the name of the dragon+ temporalis? since u can make temporalis copy any card its chaining, you can basically copy any DK/draconic card from the discard pile. Just not sure what happens when u choose Chimera/draconic sword... Can anyone please clarify if this works?

Currently, the max price to sell the Last Action is 82k, waaaaaay low compared to the solid 150k you could get it before the DK update. This happened because a lot of people started using Dk decks after it got competitive in elo, people stopped selling TLA in the market. TRUE, this happens to a lot of cards, but what makes this case absurd is that The Last Word, of which u need 3 copies to combine to a single TLA now costs more than a copy of TLA. Indeed, a TLW costs 89k in the market atm.

Please address this issue, as as it stands, no one would sell their TLA in the market and we would have another case of the Psychurgist lv 3 ( a dead market).

#57 Re : Deck and Strategy » Zil Discard Deck » 25-02-2012 14:27:52

Imo, psychurgist lv 3 is a better char instead of salem, since he provides a more aggressive discard approach. Most of the suggestions here are based on a build using Alyce, ATD and the Psychurgist.

Im not gonna give u a whole decklist, since you would work best using a build that u are most comfortable with. However, cards i would recommend are:

For defense:
I hate brawlers  and illusary reflection ( id go with 2x copies of brawlers, a copy of look away and one reflection)
Chiaroscuro
Tadaa!
Turn to the Shadow Side ( some guys use this to better protect ATD )

For discard:
Break the second chain (mostly to replay mental syphon using alyce and abyssien. altho if u plan on using panic!, u can copy that too when using Alyce)
Blackmail ( a versatile card and strictly better than conjuring. usable by both psychurgist and alyce. psychurgist recycles it as well)
Festivities ( best used on abyssien, activates the abilities on alyce and psychurgist)
illumination ( good card for psychurgist to get mental syphon earlier )

On top of that, id drop free the shadow and conjuring. Also, i wouldnt use 3 treacherous, since some opponents have low spirits.

Hope this helps smile

#58 Re : Deck and Strategy » Possible Eclipse Deck » 23-02-2012 18:18:53

Id say if u want a top elo deck, u would need 3 assassinate instead of the burning souls, since u can chain assassinate + noun-ta. enables more fluid game play

#59 Re : Deck and Strategy » Shadow Guem deck » 21-02-2012 06:43:25

Hi guys. ive been running this deck for a while now, and i think adding break the 2nd chain is essential for alyce. since she can play shadow spells w/o restriction, she can play break the 2nd chain for any shadow spell in your discard pile. I normally use it to buyback never lonely so that u basically have 5 never lonely in your deck smile

Hope this helps

#60 Re : Deck and Strategy » witch blades tweaking » 09-02-2012 19:13:41

I would suggest u put in these toolbox cards:

Sentence- great against immortals, dks, priests ( discard or otherwise) and situationally useful against DH

Dissidence- useful against practically every elo deck

Reborn- one of your best weapons against DH and mages

Cut and Thrust- while a DK card, i find it a far better toolbox card compared to freeze, very good against zil marauders, DKs, golems, Kotoba trio etc and the attack boost is good

Against DH, if I have initiative, id usually go for a first turn Ylliana vs Yu Ling.
As Yu Ling gets 4 spirit, Ylliana perma-cuts it down to 2. At the end of the turn Yu Ling has 1 spirit, and if Nashi dies, she has 0 spirit. Dont try to one-shot her as it is very hard, but make sure Ylliana survives. With Yu Ling spiritually decapitated, Nashi and Zatochi will be easy to beat smile

Hope this helps

#61 Re : Deck and Strategy » The Mysterious Pheonix Campaign, which decks? » 03-02-2012 12:00:20

Id say the best dude for the job is arkalon, with:

Chimera, Exordium, The dragons champ, dragon armor, crystal shelf, Dissatisfaction.
Life devourer.

basically equip arkalon with the stuff above, and let your other characters die. Also leave one beast on the opponents side. That way dissatisfaction will deal 8 direct dmg each turn.

Arkalon recycles cards, so that way youll be able to use in the name of the dragon every turn to take back The last action or other kill cards for a guaranteed kill every turn.

Arkalon is a beast.

#62 Re : Deck and Strategy » Pirate Mages » 23-12-2011 20:24:20

dude, try it out before u criticize my opinion...

ive tried it out, and the ring gives +3 spirit if all three mages are alive. read the description, it says +1 by each living mages. Im just trying to be supportive of a fellow pirate-lover, and the way u are undermining my opinion is kinda rude...

#63 Re : Deck and Strategy » Pirate Mages » 23-12-2011 19:06:32

hmm, an alternate version of pirate mage decks that ive played uses artrezil's ring.
basically put a ring on mylad so that her spirit is +3, thus also boosting lighting beaks spirit. I find that if both mylad and beak are super resistant to other mage decks using this technique

#64 Re : Deck and Strategy » Elmariachi presents... Demon Hunter mill/ heal » 13-12-2011 20:21:08

agreed. however, im looking at at least 2 ANS for this deck since it is not a unique card, and it can be bought back by void and rosary.

A friend also pointed out that my deck is rather weak if the opponent has ANS as well. im thinking of using anathemize, but it also hurts my own deck. what do u guys think?

Hi guys. I got this idea using the new cards from the recent Kotoba update as well as using a concept from the merc mill decks of old. The basic concept is of the deck is to mill your opponents, while using the sick healing capabilities of the undead coupled with the near immortality of Yu Ling. Mind you, this deck is slow and expensive, but I honestly see some potential of it being top elo level. Hope you guys can give constructive feedback smile

Characters
Yu Ling
Nashi
Gan'so

Cards:

Key Cards:

[card]Mental Syphon[/card]
The key mill card in the deck. Usable only by Yu Ling, the deck functions by discarding the opponent's cards and reclaiming mental syphon using void, ANS and rosary of serenity.

[card]Rosary of Serenity[/card]
Great defensive card, it buys back Mental Syphon, the prestige and ANS for a never ending loop.

[card]A New Start[/card] and [card]The Hungry Void[/card]
No description needed.

[card]The Prestige[/card]
Removes pesky cards as well as helps with the milling

Defense:
This deck benefits from a rich supply of undead heals and defense cards:

[card]Mysterious Aura[/card]
Enables crazy healing, if used with Yu Ling, she will heal 5 hp, +2 if the opp is a guem

[card]Festivities[/card]
A neat interaction with Nashi, sets up more heals

[card]Hibernation[/card]
Very good card, considering everyone in the team is a warrior. Heals ( a recurring theme lol )

[card]Vanish[/card]
Yup, people will get annoyed with all the defensive cards and this will cause A LOT of rage quits.

[card]Exordium[/card]
I like this card ( since i got a foil smile ) Best used on either Yu Ling ( protects her while she uses Syphon ) or Nashi ( for heals )

[card]Skyward Boots[/card]
Id include one for nashi, since games will probably last for quite a while.

[card]Pray to spirits[/card]
Great toolbox card, removes threats like Shadow side, silly Lunations and DK crap, while removing stuff like corruptions and nature spells on your own dudes.
Imo a very well designed card.

[card]Dissidence[/card]
Never leave home without it !

General Play
As per above, you need to mill using mental syphon and prestige, while keeping your own dudes alive. Of key importance is keeping Yu Ling and Nashi from getting one-shotted. Basically syphon for Yu Ling, mysterious aura +festivities for Gan'so , and Rosary of Serenity n skyward boots for Nashi. Other cards are basically determined based on the game itself.

Personally ive never tried this deck ( im not rich enough wink ) but i would appreciate it if someone who has the cards would challange me. Opinions greatly welcomed.

#66 Re : Update list » Card Modifications » 12-12-2011 18:36:26

they should nerf scragh tho, hes still a bit OP imo.
something like dmg prevention only on his own turn, or preventing only magic and physical dmg seems reasonable, considering that total dmg prevention makes him unscathed from avatar's effects.

#67 Re : Deck and Strategy » Demon Crows » 11-12-2011 06:28:51

Hi dude.

I find that this build lacks some firepower when it comes to  dealing dmg. It seems to only have katamaru x2, onijutsu x 2 and break the chain, while having too much defensive cards ( tadaa, vanish, evil intentions, sentence, dissidence )
It also seems to lack a bit in terms of chains, about 5, not including tsume for karasu.
I would suggest reducing 2 defensive cards for 1 offense and 1 more chain.

- evil intention +RoD
- vanish          +secret society/ reborn

I would also suggest dissatisfaction since zatochi is an undead.

#68 Re : Deck and Strategy » Raids of the Freeboterz » 01-12-2011 11:08:43

Hi. Ive been playing pirate marauders for quite a while, and i hope my post helps.

I would recommend playing collision for gemineye since it helps a lot against kotoba, saps, avalonians and basically everyone except compendium.
I include 2 copies of collision and 2 copies of illumination to increase the chances of getting it on the first turn.

Cricket / stink bomb + illumination > collision = GODLY

The  good thing about this is that if the opponent starts first, chances are that he will choose gemineye, ( based on turn order ) thus increasing your chances of landing a sweet 5 magic dmg on all opposing characters.
Bear in mind that compendium, especially anreyna, basically renders collision useless...

#69 Re : Deck and Strategy » Kotoba-Demon Hunter » 25-11-2011 05:29:41

Hi. This is a deck im using that tries to utilize yu ling to the max. Its a variant of the Demon-Crow decks inspired by Roild smile

Yu Ling
Toran
Zatochi Kage

Rain of Death                  x3
Onijutsu                          x3
Katamaru                        x3
Break the first chain         x1
Randori                           x2
Integrity                          x2
Origami                           x3
Storm                              x1
Dissidence                       x1
Vanish                             x1

The deck tries to use Yu ling for 1 hit-kills on her order bonus. Zatochi and Toran both act as supporting units to boost her up. The normal gameplay of the deck revolves around chain+ spell.  The deck plays somewhat like WB, blasting powerful spells coupled with a decent attack.

General plays:
Yu Ling:

Randori/origami/integrity + RoD/Katamaru/break the first chain/ onijutsu

Any combo of the above should/will kill the opp char on her order bonus.
I.e Randori+ RoD on the 1st turn: 8/11 attack + between 9-14 magic dmg

The beauty of this is that most ppl dont realize Yu Ling is capable of a 1hko and wont really put in defensive cards to counter this. Her natural un-killability is nice, with zatochi giving her a +1 health, and an extra +2 if ***bip*** fighting a guem.
( Yu Ling eats Abomb and Keizan for breakfast ^^)

Toran:

Origami + RoD/ Katamaru/break the first chain

Toran is limited with fewer spells compared to yu ling. Toran is slightly weaker in trying to kill opp, but the RoDs will hurt smile
I use toran mostly as the utility guy, using dissidence or storm when the situation calls for it.

Zatochi:

Origami/ Randori/ Integrity + Katamaru/ Onijutsu

Basically the same MO, chain+ spell. Zatochi's bonus and the fact that he is a warrior ensures that Break the chain is X + 6 spirit dmg.

Strengths
- Consistency. I find that i rarely get a bad hand cause u only need to get a chain+ spell, and i get that most of the time.
- Unpredictability. Its hard to defend against both magic and physical attacks, and this deck can do both well.

The deck is has a real anti-mage feeling to it, with all the chains granting u bonus spirit. The deck has no problems with kotoba, saps, noz, nehants and pirates.
The only bad matchups for this deck is discard and eclipse. Immortals are 50:50.

Other cards to consider:

Danger in delay---> origami ( both serve a somewhat same function and both recycle)
Exordium ( putting this on Yu Ling makes her a b****)

If u cant afford RoD's or fireballs, i suggest the new 'sinking' spell from the Sap update. Other than that, most of the cards are affordable.

Hope the deck helps smile

#70 Re : Update list » New Release plus Update » 02-11-2011 19:31:08

I find that my pirates struggle against the pack, DK's, court, the kotoba trio and avalonians. Fortune and glory fits nicely smile

P.S, that doyen character should not get the pirate guild when the game starts.
really unfair when used with manipulation
