#51 Re : Suggestions » Instant sell unsalable cards » 22-01-2012 16:25:44

Convert into exp cards is a good idea.

Another conversion idea is three untradeable cards of the same rarity -> one untradable card of a lesser rarity. That's an equation that really lowers the amount of cards laying around. The individual players will be satisfied with getting rid of thrash cards for a very slim chance at something remotely usefull. Even the ones with tons of old cards might trade 'em in for a shot at a new-comer. Then of course Feerik should introduce cards that have synergies with old cards so people have to spend cash to get the old commoncards back.

This game need more synergies.

If you have gotten even just 1 useful card from adventure mode, you have no right to complain.  Free cards are better than no cards.

Ermm.. Yeah, and I see suggestions here which are aimed at making people buy more feez.

Sure, the guy that started the thread ain't too constructive in his first post. But we want people to talk about this game! We want people to bother about speaking up about it.

We need to speak up about our "yays" and "neys".

Back on topic:

The completely random reward system is what keeps me from buying energy.

The thing is that we will see more and more adventure mode events that you need to buy feez to be able to fullt complete. Feerik shouldent want us to buy energy to farm. Feerik should want us buy energy to "keep up" (get the event cards). It's just business really.

I got a [card]Perversion[/card], which would be great if I could sell off one of my sellables. Need to get me some feez first though.

#54 Re : Suggestions » Subforums for decks and strategy? » 17-01-2012 05:45:59

A subforum for each guild?! We barely have enough posts to make it worth reading in the decks and strategy forum as it is.

No. Splitting them up will make people less likely to stumble upon a topic they want to post in.

A lot of people would just ignore the forums for guilds they don't play and won't even see the topics there. And that would be a big loss.

But a section for adventure mode would fly well, I think.

The boosters weren't the problem, the way how they were composed was the problem.

Now it is a 33% chance of guild and a 66% chance of anything while the act boosters only gave a 100% of one specific act.

Err.. Took me a while toget your point.

What you mean is that act boosters would be functional if they were like the new guild boosters, right?

Example: 33% Act 1, rest random from all acts.

Yeah it could work. But guildboosters are still better.

Currently, the store is selling the Guild based Booster packs.

Please, return/add the previous Booster Packs on store, also. I prefer buying them than the current ones, at least add them as an option to buy. Thanks.

since they introduce the act boosters, the most players wanted the guild boosters back..
now the guild boosters are back, and the other players cry..

i think they will never give us the opportunity to have both boosters at the same time, but i believe they change the boosters maybe every couple months..

Yeah, but I don't see anyone else wanting act-boosters. At least not in the english forums.

The odds arent that drastically reduced.

As Zurga said, we are tuning the system to have players get good rewards without creating an insane amount of cards (which would be bad for the game). Once we get the drop system where we would want it to be, there's a chance our devs will look at things like energy costs.

Not that reduced, Really? On my last five perfect wins against the sap heart boss I've gotten one common card, one favor and nothing else. Gotta sacrifice a goat or a dog or something to get my luck back I guess.

#61 Re : Deck and Strategy » Merc marauders » 12-01-2012 14:40:34

Yeah, I figured it was for that, but is it really worth it? You need the chain with It's Time probably making it 5 slots just to make Fog Hydra worth its money.

I'm just asking here, I have little experience with Fog Hydra and want to learn more.

#62 Re : Deck and Strategy » Merc marauders » 12-01-2012 14:31:02

I've seen that character setup and it seemed to work just fine. I'm just thinking, why the Tadaa?

#63 Re : Suggestions » Card Ideas » 12-01-2012 01:07:32

Hey Gavoden.

Well, I really like that last one: Familiar Hand. It's a fun card, balanced and still opens up a bit of new gameplay for craftsmen. Good one!

The others: Yeah, I don't see the same cool gameplay as in the Familiar Hand. Inquisition is just a def-card which would completely rape a couple of decks like Crystal Storm and maybe lightning Pirates. But that's it.

I like that you're looking at synergies with undead-specific cards though.

What if Marrow Tap would add a bonus for every non living character (dead or undead)?

#64 Re : Bugs » no rewards » 11-01-2012 00:04:15

Not a bug, eh? Could've sworn it was a big fat bug getting absolutely nothing from beating the boss. Though I don't really mind that at all for my own sake. I'm able to farm at least one of the bosses and I get my cards. It's fun watching the devs figure it out really!

But...

Just imagine - Lil' Jerome has worked all week selling off the cards he's gotten from his few first boosters. He's sold them all for scraps to be able to buy a second Demon May Rise so he finally has a shot against the Sap Heart Boss. Then he gets a bad hand, and has a tough, but damn fun fight against the boss. In the end he is victorious with only one character with 3 in live left.

And then he gets absolutely nothing for it. Nil. Zip. Nought, love, null, zero.

Nothing.

Imagine that anticlimax!

Having the same tools and clothing is not uncommon between members of the same cult, etc.

Having same tattoos and haircut isn't unlikely either.

The very strict similarities on several markings and clothing/toolkit between Soraya 3 and Scarab Shield suggest the differences aren't random, nor artist-related.

Aren't you taking the artists view on the eredan-universe a bit too serious? It's two different artists to the two different takes on the same character. Sometimes you just get a written description and some early sketches of the character you draw when doing illustration jobs. It sometimes it just won't look exactly the same as another artist would do it, even if that's what you aim for.

In hundreds of cards they've used characters we know and recognize. Why in the world would they guest star a new character with such a similiar design to Soraya?

If you prefer - Just think of Soraya in the Scarab Shield-picture as the "in between" second and third upgrade.

#66 Re : Deck and Strategy » After almost a year! » 09-01-2012 11:04:03

Really farming a boss in adventure mode will get you eigth boss fights each day and if you perfect the boss you get 70 crystals. You do the math for a week of farming.

That's one way of getting crystals.

Highly unlikely that these surplus cards would create an 'influx' though.

Yeah, you're probably right as it looks now. But thinking about how adventure mode interacts with our marketplace was what made me curious about this topic. It's not farfetched to assume that the tons of cards achived from adventure mode will persuade people to let go of their commoncards a bit more easily.

#68 Re : Discussions about Eredan iTCG » Adventure mode: Drops from the Sap Heart Boss. » 08-01-2012 21:24:16

This is pretty interesting. I keep gettin' a few other cards over and over again, but no a single clouds. I'm on my fifth [card]Enslavement[/card] from the Sap Heart Boss. And quite a few playsets of others.

It gotta mean that it's just pretty damn random dropchances. Any other theories?

You can't sell any cards received from any of the quests anyway...so any market differences are nothing to do with them

Not completely true.

If you already have a playset of Demonic Clouds and then get a couple of extra nonsellable from the Adventure Mode, it would be pretty resonable to sell one of your old ones.

Which is my point with my initial post.

Heya.

I'm wondering if anyone has had [card]Demonic Cloud[/card] as a drop from the Sap Heart Boss?

Or from any of the bosses at all, really.

I've farmed the Sap Heart boss for a week or more and I haven't. I see some concistency in the drops, but ain't played it enough to be certain. I just saw Demonic Cloud up on the market (3500 crystals btw) and it's the first time since i started playing Eredan. It got me thinking if the influx of demonic clouds in higher now, then before or if it's just a coincidence.

Oh, I don't think it's gonna be easy to play a deck focusing on [card]Dark Light[/card].

You'd need recycle cards like [card]A New Start[/card], which are of course holy-crap-expensive.

[card]The Shadow[/card] would be a good choice. She can play dark light.[card] Lord Galmara[/card] would still be a good choice of course. I ain't too fond of Selene, but she might just be the only choice. [card]Kuraying[/card] maybe?

[card]Cloning[/card] could be cool.

[card]Suspicion of Treason[/card] might be a good card as tech. We have a few guild-dependant top cards as it seems. Dunno if it's worth playing. The metagame will tell.

A couple of [card]Life devourer[/card] and a [card]Shadowblade[/card] could be playable.

[card]Booby Trap[/card] is a pretty good card..

And I'm all outta ideas. I've just thrown out some randon cool cards for ya, dunno if they are playable. One problem I see is discard-decks. They might just eat you alive.

Yeah, hunny. I wasn't all too serious. Sorry if it didn't show.

But, still the WaWs alone are just under 30k. The cheap version of WaW ain't really that cheap.

The trophy card is really nice. It looks like a variation to prestige.

And it is not so hard to obtain.
I am using weapons at will at the moment.

Pirate marauders could work too with:
2x scuttling
3x powder keg
3x conquer or perish
3x narwhal
3x stink bomb
cheap
add one more scuttling
3x supplying
2x rocketeer
expensive
3x infernal cricket
3x assassination

Most mages are also good for this trophy. (for nehant mages a deck in this format is standard)

That's an hilarious post. Cause' we all have three assassinations laying 'round.
And to be perfectly honest WaW-decks usually cost a left ball and an eyelobe as well.

#75 Re : Suggestions » Eredan favor for Energy » 04-01-2012 11:33:08

So that the players with powerful enough decks to farm the bosses could do so even more easily?

Why..?
