The price of flesh

What does the price of flesh do? How does it work? Do they have to suffer damage before you play the card?

Hmm.

You deal X direct damage IF the opponent has already suffered damage that turn BEFORE you activate The Price of Flesh.

Example #1:
[card]Ardrakar[/card] plays [card]Black Chimera[/card] (she has chain one handed weapon) -> [card]The Price of Flesh[/card].
Since Black Chimera activates immediately when played by Ardrakar, The Price of Flesh will deal its direct damage.

Example #2:
[card]Demonic Explosion[/card] -> [card]The Price of Flesh[/card]
If there is a [card]Demonic Cloud[/card] in play, and you remove one with Demonic Explosion, it will do direct damage, and so does The Price of Flesh.

So, if all your characters are demons and alive, and there is a Demonic Cloud in play, assuming there are no Demonic Cloud in the Discard Pile:
Demonic Explosion + The Price of Flesh = +2 Attack, +1 Attack & +1 Defense, 3 Direct Damage + 3 Direct Damage = 3 Attack, 1 Defense, 6 Direct Damage.

And it also works with character's order bonus, like [card]Pain[/card] and [card]Soulchewer[/card].
