Before I retired this deck to obscurity, I would like to get some input from you guys.

Witchblades have been my favourite deck since I got the Noz starter pack years ago. But with the current meta and existence of other +Spirit cards and caste that is better in Physical+Magical damage (Demon Hunter, etc.), I wonder if there is any point to improve it anymore?

My current deck:
Anazra, Naya, Eglantyne & Moira

Item:
3 [card]Witchblade Armor[/card]

Action:
3 [card]Witchblade Trump[/card]
3 [card]Secret Weapon[/card]
1 [card]Time to Die[/card]

Spells:
3 [card]Dragon's Breath[/card] - I cannot find any decent damage spell for this slot as I am using Witchblade Armor and Trump.
3 [card]Rain of Death[/card]
2 [card]Light Blow[/card]
2 [card]Ice Shield[/card]

I wonder if Ylliana will make any difference (though her Spirit is low)?

Perhaps [card]Last Action[/card] and Lightning Bolt Lvl 3 will save the day?

I just dunno... I think they are quite outdated already.

I used to hate wb intensely, but completely fell in love with em after I actually used them for myself.

Secret weapon, while a good card, is somewhat a difficult card to build around and the relevant chains, light blow/ttd is a too clunky imo. in that they are useless with the other cards in the deck. If one shots are what you are looking for, RoDs do the same thing, usually more.
Your build seems to lack both the ability to kill out of play and to remove permanents which are crucial for any marauder deck. sliding for me has fitted in both roles perfectly. i really hope you try wb trump+ sliding
Double mental prisons basically rape pure mage decks, plus break the second chain ensures that you have a total of 4 should you need them

Interesting... I can see Ylliana is the way to go now. Gotta start saving for Last Action I suppose.

Dude, the best combo i've ever seen is:

[card]Light Blow[/card]+[card]Secret Boots[/card] your character atack +5 the oposite -4...

Oh yea, and but first the actions, they're cheap, than you buy spells

After a few more testing with this deck (even with Last Action), unfortunately, it still falls short of my expectation. Demon Hunter outshines it by far :

[card]Light Blow[/card] + [card]Secret Weapon[/card] is too combo-ish hard to get the pieces together.

[card]Witchblade Trump[/card] + something: Witchblades by far do not have Spirit high enough to exploit this card

And there are just too many decks with +Spirit cards. Will be waiting eagerly for more Light spells I suppose.

Witch Blade Trump could work well with Blade of the Witch, turning the 4 magical damage to 6.

then again my decks don't have the price range to include three RODs

Admittedly I will not use [card]Witchblade Secret[/card] as I think the counter is quite narrow and no extra benefit to your attack.

The only card I will consider is [card]Dexterity[/card] and [card]The Dance of the Blade[/card]. Even then, that will reduce Witchblades to mostly physical attack unfortunately.

Its hard to balance without any additional Light Spell for the Witchblade. So yeah... it will still lose out to Demon Hunters or Tsoutai which now have a decent Spirit score and versatility in physical/magic attack. Shame I think since Witchblade is the original concept of that

WB is still good , well , don't compare any mid-tier deck to any "OP Super Star" decks which get changed every 2-3 months .

I agree. Ironically, Kotoba now does it better than Noz in Physical+Magical attack approach.

After checking it out, what is the use of [card]The Dance of the Blade[/card] if it only lasts 2 turns O.o?????? It will make sense if it lasts 2 fights.

Arguably, there is not much Noz Action to chain with [card]Witchblade Secret[/card]. Sometimes I do wonder how [card]General Fray[/card] being designed. Not much thought is put into Witchblade Secret IMHO.

I guess my Witchblade can now retire to obscurity. Time to update my Eclipse a bit.

It is rare chance. not good enough
