The Sachem is, in my opinion, a really nice concept with a poor implementation.
- Very frail and has a condition to unlock his "true power".
- The benefit of becoming a Beast is somewhat countered by the fact that his Printed Min Attack remains 3 - Butterly Collar is worthless on him.
- He performs an extra attack that equals 5, again quite pitiful ability for all the weaknesses he has.
- To use both mage and warrior part, you need a deck with too many different cards.
My suggested changes:
- Make him Elfine-Beast Mage-Warrior while transformed (possibly as a 3rd Upgrade if necessary)
- Make his transformation change his Printed Attack (like Cutirrel/[card]Eichhäschen[/card] and Piguy/[card]Vielfrass[/card], or even [card]Dark Ritual[/card] reattaching any items)
- Make his ability perform an extra attack that equals his Printed Min Attack (7).
Suggested card text:
At the start of a Turn if you have a dead Hom'Chai or a dead Beast, "The Sachem" changes his appearance and becomes a Beast-Elfine Mage-Warrior, he has Printed Attack = 7/10 and deals an additional Attack that equals his Printed Min Attack.
Turns 3 and more: Attack +1 for each of your dead characters.

Would be really nice of a mod to take this up to Feerik.
With what I believe to be recent mechanics (Darkat, Brawl, etc), The Sachem could "at least" have his Elfine-Beast form change his Printed Attack rather than just give him a bonus, thus allowing Quickdraw, Butterfly Collar, etc to be used properly by him.
