Yes, the portal deck works ( a bit worst ) even without dimizar, just put another nehant guemelite, the first time I won against him I was using [card]Carkass[/card] instead of Dimizar

Actually, without Dimizar, specially if you use Carkass, your survivability increases alot for your other 2 characters.
Because Dimizar attack boost is bad for you:
- you're more likely to increase his defense through icy aura without using portal
- he has +1 attack than he would otherwise when you portal

However, carkass will screw you if the boss uses rage too late.

Ofcourse, the best possible character is Nehant Receptacle

sorry beowulf.... this thread along with several other are a continuing repetition of advice giving strategies of how to beat the crap out of this king... just read the thread and u ll find what u are looking for... why the heck do you think that u need a legendary char to beat him???

He is one of the other mages that is good with the DMR which I only hae two of...so reading off of all these options....only players with fat bank accounts can hope to beat him often enough to get the character? Essentially? Because theres no way to afford with just crystals the cards needed to beat him.

its not just the fat bank... i m having multiple decks and made them when i could afford them... if u just start getting them in a moment where 80% of the ppl are going crazy for these cards then its... tough luck...

so if u have 2 mages why dont u just give it a try... u dont need legendaries... you dont need any vital syphon... u dont need anything but the cards that are mentioned throughout the whole thread...

and if u dont like nehantist mages... go for eclipse and burning soul... spice in some favors and go for the win...

oh this is frustrating,,still haven't got the king even i played againts him since the first day,,,and always got craps,,,at least make the drop better feerik!!got like 10 blessed bandage and the only rare i got is mirage. if we can only get one rare for each campaign then make it a better rare

I got Paladin's Hammer as my rare...good card that I didn't have, but could have saved a lot of time and effort if I wanted it by just spending 9,000 crystals on the marketplace...I'd still rather get Hrimnir.

I STILL cant beat him consistently. The Nehantic Receptacle has actually screwed me multiple times and I'm gonna switch to dimizer cause he wont grab cards that he's not supposed to. But I starting to give up hearing that even the people that HAVE beat him still cant get him. Which sucks cause I really want this card to play not just for collection..

Are we sure there's no bug? I have literally beaten him about 40 times now with no Hrimnir... Spent money on the energy package and everything, thinking it was a sure thing that I'd get him then with so many tries...nope...

There's some substitute cards tht i used and worked:

Badbord- Use it before he enter on fury
Powder Keg-The same of badbord, but with clover using Multitasking+powder keg, and then use Rocketor=18 direct damage....
Immobilization, he cant use actions haha!
Anatemathize-Stop whit the buff!
Paranoia-Bye bye cards
The end of a era- Plus Time to die= +16 attack...

Thats some good cards, use them wisely and i'll win :D:D

This is pretty insane.

I have right around 25 wins on him after this weekend of play, and still no Hirimnir (several of those are perfeccts, as well, not that that matters with Hirimnir).

Not going to say this is the worst event ever, since Scragh will probably forever hold that one, but not having a distinct set goal is borderline insulting. "Nah, c'mon guys, just keep playing and we'll give it to you eventually". Pssh.

This was one of the lesser campaigns. The badass boss is nice but the crappy rewards give you a "oh no I have to play this again" feeling after each fight where you don't get your desired drop.

It doesn't help when each mission costs 23 energy. Oh well... I can just pray for the drop. My win rate with Eclipse is not great even though I have good cards. It really boils down to the luck of draw. This is the event which I have quite an unlucky streak *sigh*

Hmm, I guess that means those of us that only managed to beat him 10-20ish times are s.o.l.? That sucks, I spent feez and bought energy on this... I feel like if you have to make ANY exceptions, whether they beat him 50 or 5 times, that shows that something is wrong.

suggestion: well can you just extend the map for another week! its the best thing we can do for those people who haven't won that many times... fifty is too much really...

-I cannot say I'm lucky cause I won against king half of that I lose the matches... the odds of winning is not that really that high to do a perfect farming...
