This boss battle is completely impossible without favors, which bothers me, because favors cost actual money and it requires a LOT of favors to win multiple times with it still not dropping anything. I my opinion, this quest is too difficult, or at least too expensive for the sub-par card you get for it. I'm tempted to just stop now and not spend any more money on it...

hey i beat him(or just lucky) 3 times with eclipse without favors(can't get perfect though) i used sunburn and clumsinnes to discard his icy aura and without it he's done,,,but i need favors when i got shitty draws

favors are really helpfull... first round a damage reducing one and 2nd... well.. something appropriate...

anyways i recommend that u only start using favors 'IF' u think that your handcards are good enough for a win... if u just draw some crap then forget it and start again

just use favor from the sap quest,,defense +5 and does 2 direct damage,,,use it 3 times and you'll get the trophy

I use nomad marauder with the wining rate is about 80%

but until now I still don't get the character T T ... why? why must be "possible"? why not be only "reward after beating him"

yeah, if it's timed it should be an automatic drop.

its like this phoenix thing... i was so much going for the mythic version... even spent some free feez on it to get more energy (still could eat my own shorts for doing THAT) but simply didnt get it... only that lousy normal version...

I think that in this situation it is doable, of course if you have this deck already
Try finding [card]celerity[/card] of [card]aging[/card] on market, I think that it will be cheaper and faster to just by this trophy.

Right now I'm trying with Corruption but this one is tricky because rage bonus must be on from the begining to the end, so he won't discard any cards, and I think that this bos is using only Agmundar's Rage.

Got perfect almost without using eredan favours, i just bought one for 12feez to lower his defense to 0 and make it faster

Demon May Rise + Demonic Portal <3 even if he discard the demon may rise sometimes you can just place another one, my deck was full of bad and cheap cards, i dont even have a vital syphon lol

So I just pulled a perfect off on the King without using favors. I used a Nehant Corruption Deck (3 Mages) with:

3 [card]Vital Syphon[/card]
3 [card]Demon May Rise[/card]
3 [card]Demonic Portal[/card]
1 [card]Break the second chain[/card]
1 [card]Wanted![/card]
the remainder of the deck is filled with 1 of each different corruption available.

Basic strategy: Load him up with corruptions and vitals for heals so there are no discards to raise his attack. When he rages, then start dropping DMR with portals since his attack will be high.

I finally beat this SOB with a mechanist port deck.

But 80% win-rate? Not seeing it w/out Dazzle, as mentioned previously.

And a perfect? Sheesh. Guess I'm not getting that pretty little crown to give to my Aelide boss-farming deck.

Anyone actually got the king? I was able to beat the boss multiple times with a nehantist deck and favors (Even scored a few perfects), But I never got the King himself, just random cards...

Eclipse with dazzle, obesity, burn the soul, end of an era, solaris and some others but one of each to boost his attack for dazzle.

I wasn't able to score a perfect with this deck. I used feez to get the trophy for the crown.

Just out of curiousity, what do you mean by "boost his attack for dazzle"?

he has att+1 for each different card in your graveyard. so having one of each other cards will boost his attack, making your dazzle a lot more effective...
