Nope, no discarding. And no corruptions, as soon as he gets rage, all your cards are discarded. That's what makes it so tough paired with those ice elf cards that raise your defense every time he suffers damage. I'm pounding away at him with 0 defense, suddenly he gets his rage, my cards get dumped, next thing I know he's at 11 defense!

I think a quick eclipse deck with [card]Time to Die[/card], [card]Burning Soul[/card] and that trophy that gives you up to +8 attack based on the difference between your health and the opponent's will work just fine.

Maybe build a Runic Craftsman deck and get the Consul up in defense and attack enough that he becomes immune to the boss?

Yeah, eclipse could work, especially with some favors! I'll try that on the next go!

Ok, Eclipse did it! Got lucky with a couple "Obesity"s that negated his rage from knocking off my "Wanted!" long enough that the dropped his defense so low he couldn't regain it even after everything was knocked off of him. That combined with some "Burning Souls", I managed to kill him with two characters still alive. Unfortunately, I therefore didn't get the Crown, I only got the other claws. Guess I'll be farming til I get Hrimnir himself, then maybe just buy the damn crown...

Is there a way to complete the first quest in the call of the ice elf's quest line? Other then shelling out fee'z that is, because buying the completion for the quest sounds cheaper then searching for an ice elf card.

Ooh, I guess you missed the Christmas event. EVERYONE got a free ice elf deck. They aren't too expensive under normal circumstances, Ayir is usually at 100, but people without Ice Elves probably just got to the cheap ones first and others won't sell their's cheap cause they know the event'll drive up the prices.

You have just answered your question in the second part of your post. It is rather unlikely that there will be any Ice Elf characters or +rage cards available on the market but I'm not saying that it is impossible. The thing is that it may take you to long to complete this deck and you won't have time and energy for the other tasks.

You have to play the first mission of the runic campaign (Hares against Golemarlok) and win the game with 15 damages points more than your opponent does to you.
