Since i ve [card]turned to the shadow side[/card] i ve had trouble finding a fitting sidekick evil guy/girl/monster to complete the team of [card]abysser[/card] and [card]kuraying[/card]...

i ve tested a few and i d like to give my opinion about them as well as ask for your ideas.

she is sexy, she is blond,... here comes sidekick number one:

pros:
-can chain shadow spells
-is shadow guemilit (useful for damage calculation of [card]never lonely[/card])
-useful passive ability against graveyard users

cons:
-veeeery low physical damage output
-if you want her to survive and be a constant in battle you need to put priest cards as well which may block the hand

she got murdered but still lives... here comes sidekick number two:

pros:
-as zil mage she can use all relevant spells
-as noz mage she can use [card]breaker[/card] which comes in handy at times
-+1 on all spell effects
-heals herself turn 5+

cons:
-very low physical damage
-isnt shadow guemilit
-she counts as supportive character and thus needs extra cards to be efficient which leads to a strange deckbuilding with icewalls (may block more usefull cards)
-most expensive of all sidekicks

next contestant is a surprise, our sidekick number three:

pros:
-higher physical damage output
-is a shadow guemilit
-i just used one lunation in deck which will automatically equip in round 1-3 so no further deckchanges are required

cons:
-can play many shadow spells without chain and due to low spirit wont cause much magical damage
-rather helpless without further cards

watch the 4 armed fusion of fury... sidekick number four:

pros:
-the best starting stats
-is shadow guemilit
-good round bonus (merges well with aby and kura)

cons:
-as marodaur needs special cards to be effective... much like last contestant
-cant chain spells
-needs lots of exp/time to obtain

now we will lift the final curtain to see whats behind... sidekick number five:

pros:
-good physical damage
-even dying he is usefull
-is shadow guemilit

cons:
-is merc! cant play zil shadow spells thus becoming limited like whatnot
-needs special cards to be effective

now that you ve all seen the 5 chars i ve tried playing this deck with i would ask you to give your input about them... which one is the sidekick of your choice? and above all... why?

i know there are other out there... but i skipped trying [card]salem[/card], [card]lord galmara[/card], [card]selene[/card] or [card]silene[/card]

Ive tried alyce and the shadow, they both work good, but until eredan release a turned to the shadow side char. that can reap the full benefit, this deck will never be considered complete in my eyes!

If Feerik releases a 3rd Turned to the Shadow Side char, suddenly there's no choices in building the deck - it's decided for you.

Trust me, you would get bored of seeing your clones everywhere.

Don't ask for completed decks - because worst case scenario, you'll get what you wish for.

The Shadow seems to be a popular choice in decks like these. Plus you have the added benefit of knowing what evil lurks in the hearts of men.

I'm very surprised you didn't suggest Salem. I used him when I had this deck, and sort of had a mill sub-strategy going on, mainly for control. It didn't work out too bad, since he can chain Panic.

Marlok the Repentant is also a viable suggestion. Yeah, he lowers your characters spirits, but only by one. Theoretically you'll be using spirit-oriented cards when Kuraying or Abyssien's spirit is sky high. Not to mention he has pretty stellar starting spirit of four, and if he lives past turn 4, he can make your opponent discard a card before they even get to play anything. Unfortunately, he isn't a Shadow Guem. He is Noz, though, so if you wanted to run Breaker... He's cheaper than Ishaia

shadow is ok, especially with nehant shield since she can tank stuff, but I really think alyce helps out more offensively. Also being able to chain shadow spells helps the deck out.

Ish could be good but I don't have her so I can't make an accurate opinion.

That'll probably be Zil's Legendary, too. Unless they're continuing on making new versions of characters into Legends, like Iro and Ciramor.

EDIT: probably Salem for the zil since they are looking for a way to heal him , the restored Salem could be the legendary one

hmm artezil as third shadow sider me gusta still i would luv to see alyce's shadow side form though
