Yu Ling I would think if you are lacking RoD's.

take [card]fight fire with fire[/card] as a replacement for RoD
really good gainst high attack guem or any high attack human
bad gainst human mage or guem mage, but ye got high spirit with the 2 base spirit + [card]randori [/card]or [card]evil eye[/card]

Human Warriors (low spirit) and non-human mages (low attack) screw [card]Fight Fire with Fire[/card] so hard...
Though against Human Warriors you can always use Fireballs (yes, did you know there is a slightly weaker and 3x cheaper version of RoD?)

yeah I was thinking the same thing. They really need to make mroe generic spells that every mage in any guild can use

For sure, My multi class merc mages deck would be that much stronger if they did.
