I played Dragon Knight's back in the day after getting my ass handed to me by one. It was okay and I liked the playstyle. Back then, though, it seemed the basic strategy was “I can use [card]Magic Attack[/card] 6 times, so haha!” where as now...well, you can still do that, but now you have GREAT support (some would even say overpowered) in [card]Knight's Honour[/card] and [card]Cut and Thrust![/card]. [card]Ardrakar the Dragon Knight[/card] is also a great addition, lending a hand in defense.

[card]Knight's Honour[/card]/[card]The Best Defense...[/card] is just insane. Using it after you get a [card]Draconian Sword[/card] or two out will net you a kill, at the very least.

I'll post up a more comprehensive guide when I can, should I decide to just maindeck this and trudge through all the garbage you usually see in Tourneys.

In all honesty Dragon Knights are Dragon Knights. Anyway you twist it the overall do they do the same thing and have the same strat. Slap weapons and a champion card on your character and outlast your opponent.

But as soon as I can get my hands on them, I'll add them in. [card]The Last Action[/card] is good, but I think I'd rather have [card]Chimera[/card] in there. Just soooo OP it's dumb.

The first thing you got do is get a chimera.

Second you have too many The Dragons Champion. 2 is more than enough.

I think it lacks weapons.. So I would add Chimera + 1 Living Dagger. And probally remove one Draconic Sword. But you can keep 3 for a better draw.

Also any draconic spell you have 3, is too much. I mean you got 3 In the Name of the Dragon. So you can recile near everything. Your getting the space of counter cards that are necessary, like Clumsiness, Dissidence and Sentence.

With the new cards and Ardrakar who chains draconic spells, the DK got a lot faster, and not so dependent of tanking with Chimera and Champio, that is always cut down by a Sentence.

I would change your configuration for:

[3] In the Name of the Dragon
[2] The Dragon's Champion
[2] Draconian Sword
[2] Knight's Honour
[2] Cut and Thrust!
[2] Magic Attack
[1] The Best Defense...
[2] Than the Sword (Works well tieh Cut and late game Knight's Honour, and really well with Power and Chimera)
[1] Power
[1] Chimera
[1] Dissidence
[1] Living Dagger (or Life Devourer if you upgradded it from the initial deck, but Living is better).

As you can afford, get TLA in the place of one of the Than the Sword. And, talking big, get a void, to re-use anything, especially The Best Defence...

If you wan't to try the super tank version of DK, you got place some dragon armor, With Evil intentions and Exodium.. But this version is totally crushed by Sentence..

Edit: If you got it, you can place Strengh of the Noz, really good card to chain with In the name of the dragon, followed by Than the Sword, TLA..

Some idiot thought I linked porn in my signature awhile back and banned me, though how anyone would think that is beyond me. Thanks man, I appreciate it. I'm hitting about 1600 ELO right now (though I've only been playing since I posted the deck), and with my current version (I DID get Chimera, after all), but I'm still hitting some pretty rough spots and sometimes the games can get long, boring and hella frustrating. Mirror Matches are the WORST, as it's really about who can get in Cut and Thrust in last so that Chimera can go away...but then we just In the Name of the Dragon it right back to our character!!

My next goal is to try and get The Last Action. That should smooth things out a bit, as well as make things much faster.

How do I get With Evil Intentions?

And Exodium...yeah. I'm liking it. That'll probably be the next trophy card I get.

If you don't have With Evil intentions from the Hallowen event, you can only hope that by miracle luck you drop it in the adventure..

Talking about events, Nehantic Shield from the Scragh event is also something that could work well, one more def, one more damage for The Best Defence... and your draw get's better..

For mirror Matches, trying getting the Sentence Trophy..

Before Ardrakar I use to run a Prestige in my DK, but now the deck is much more ofencive and it only slows the decks, but i was a really awsome card, removing In the Name of the Dragon...

But these kind of card is not inside your reach so far..

So maybe Anathematize.. It hurts you as well but if you can do it while your Quimera is on game and his isn't..

If you had Void, you could try using his Quimera from his discard pile..

But all the solutions I can think about are expensive...

Still belive sentence is the cheapest of them..

Could work, on nehants and Courts, but not so well on mirrors, since they can just bring it back with in the name of the dragon.

For nehants, Clumsiness and Dissidence are best options.

For courts, you beat them with magic attacks and Cut and Thrust (Since with the ice walls and victories they go with huge defence..

But for nehtans, Ardrakar Passive should fix your problems..

I don't think he was trying to insult. Unless he was, then yeah, failtacular.

I edited the deck to reflect how I have it now. I need [card]The Last Action[/card], which I'm selling a BUNCH of cards to attempt to afford. I added in Exctinction to better cope with mirror matches, Corruption Nehants and Courts...maybe even Compendium, Ice Elves...good all around card really, it's saved me in a couple of matches already.

That is, unless you guys recommend [card]...than the sword[/card] as a better alternative, or a better card all around.

The Best Defence is an awsome card for DK, you can do +4 on turn 1 playing nothing..

You can chain on Knight's honnor, In the name of the dragon, Quimera and Cut and thrust with Ardrakar.. Or even with power if your playing it.

And if u manage to keep some swords on early game, you can do even more damage with it. It's a must have on a DK deck..

Sorry that i forgot whether it was stupid donkey or monkey while i was writting a comment when i noticed he had that kind of nickname in forum... i m sure that never happens to you.

it's odd; even without power cards like TLA, I find that I lose mostly when I don't pull out Chimera or Draconian Sword soon enough. Seriously, like, I'd say maybe 70% of the time if I don't pull off my weapons I lose. It kinda sucks.

Ah well. I'm testing out [card]...than the sword[/card] and I'm liking it. Just one though. Using it on whoever is holding Chimera is a death sentence for my opponent. Good suggestion guys.

What decks are DK's weak against?

I got curb-stomped 3 times in a row by a DK deck similar to yours.
Powder, Pirate Marauders, Armada rush is what I used..

Yeah, Crown hurts. Usually Pirates can be pretty harsh, though the Powder Variants I can take apart fairly well. Discard also hurts, but with as hard as DKs hit they can go down pretty easy. Depends on your opening hand, really.

Got TLA this morning. Let's see how it in action.

EDIT: Oh, yeah. Foam Giant is another pain. I don't think there are many ways to get rid of Crown of the Border, but that's the big one right there. If he has plenty of items on him he'll just mow down everything in his path since there's no way to make his defense go bye-bye.

Agans't foam giant decks, you need Clumsiness..

Depends on how the amnenzy is running I pack one or two in the deck, currently I haven't seen one golem deck at all, so I'm not packing it at the moment..

But I'm having dificult with the draws, maybe I'm unlucky, but I had 4 games in a row that the first sword I got was on turn 4, and Chimera came on on turn 6 only..

So I'll take some time to study changes to the DK configuration.. If anthing improves I'll post here.

As for blasters, depends on the draw.. If you start with a Quimera + Dragon armor, or Quimera + cut and trusth or something that gives you good spirit, and equip on Kounuk or Ardrakar, they are hardly going to manage to kill you..

But if the guy start with 2 dragons breath and u got no card for raise spirit/heal ***bip*** dead.. But well, that happens to any regular character at all..

So by default Noz Blaster has the natural advantage? Since pretty much by default most decks get destroyed by the Blasters.

crystal storm deck cant survive again blast...
coz blast full of expensive card so thats realy worth

mostly chain blast already deal 15 damage +
