I created a deck with Kounok (level 3), Malandrin (level 1) and Ylliana (level 1) and tried playing them in the training room. It appears that the training room doesnt allow the deck to be used.. saying I need a valid deck to play.
Then I swapped Kounok (level 3) out with Aez the wandering warrior (level 1) and I managed to get into the training room
Therefore I figured out the problem that I couldn't get into the training room was Kounok level 3 in the deck.. but its strange since Kounok level 3 isnt its highest upgrade yet... its used to upgrade Kounok the Prophet from level 2 to level 3.

its the max level of that character though

Though I managed to use Silene and Selene at level 3 too (its maximum level of their character).
True that they both are used to upgrade to The Shadow level 4.... but Kounok does the same thing with Kounok the prophet.
Also.. when I filter my deck to training restrictions.. it still allowed me to put kounok level 3 in.

This probably has something to do with the fact that, at one time, Kounok existed w/out Kounok the Prophet. (KtP came in a separate, later release). So, at one time, Kounok L3 was the highest he could go.
My guess is the difference you're seeing between him and the sisters, is that they were upgrade-able from the beginning.
That said, I agree you are correct in that this should be fixed/updated.
Just my 2.

This one is tricky :
Kounok the prophet needs Kounok to evolve but stays Kounok the prophet.
Silene and Selene merge to give Shadow.
Kounok level 3 is the last level of Kounok even he is needed to evolve Kounok the prophet.
Kounok behave like simple dagger with dagger mastery.

Fair enough.
So the same applies for Hares the Brute and Aez the Wandering Warrior (the common versions)?

I had this issue with Kounok when Kounok the Prophet came out. I had to level one up in the level rooms instead of the training room because the selling price of a fully leveled Kounok was crazy at the time.
The worst is yet to come and all I have to trade is only everything.

You got it backwards.
The price of a fully leveled Kounok that was crazy at the time precicely because you had to level it in the Leveling Rooms.

Seriously now, about time Feerik did away with that limitation... because either a) he's saying Kounok Lv3 is as good as a fully leveled character (he isn't), wich also goes for Aez and Hares, and - mind you - is totally wrong; or b) he just wants to mess with us...

Nurvus, When you go back to time in the beginning of the game, Hares the brute, Aez the wandering warrior and Kounok were good enough to be in some deck.
The standard has evolve and now they seem very weak compared to modern characters.

The game evolved, so why don't the rules and limitations?

The game evolved, so why don't the rules and limitations?
Because that would require the coders to do actual work. Think of Demon May Rise. It was confirmed that the reason it doesn't work with Guems is because the card fights the games engine. If you don't know exactly what that is, just know it's not something you want to go back and fix, much like a vehicle.
Then again, it makes sense that cards like Kounuk and Aez can't fight in the training room at level 3, because level 3 is the cap for the character, despite it evolving.

They DON'T evolve ! They're just needed to evolve another character !

Clearly the proper solution would be to remove cards that tries to fight the game engine~
