As Zurga said, cards that do +/- effects cannot change the traits of Shulong. With that in mind, apparently cards that do attk=X, Spirit= X, or Defense=X is allowed and does change their stats. What cards do you think can help then?

I already thought of distracted, which would effectively lower his def to 0. Scroll of frailty + lucky charms in crows aren't bad either. reborn for mages. What other cards do you think ppl can use to pawn these guys?

If you are referring to the venerable shulong you can not change it's stats at all. (so stats = x does not work)

So far I have 35 wins (34 perfects - forfeits are counted as perfects) 3 losses (one to the new DK, one to venerable shulong, one to discard)

Vulnerabilities:
- noz blast
- discard
- sap multi race with daggers + magic poison (once they start to stack it's impossible to survive)
- marauders stand a chance too since they can deal heavy damage (pirate and zil)
- vital syphon

and list can surely go on.
basically any top tier deck can beat shulong, but all mid and low tier decks get obliterated.

yup mostly when im use my shulong hard to win agains solaris / nehantis, but i can beat sap heart poison .. top tier deck can beat shulong easily but common card cant beat shulong

Yes I'm positive. I've had some games when magic attack was used against me and it didn't work.

I have played against a fog hydra with it is time and my spirit remained at 3 so there is clearly a bug somewhere.

this is because there is no common base for which word means which... actually most ppl would say that modiefied and enhanced/decreased would count as synonyms but in a card game it should be specified...

eredan still doesnt have this base

same in german card translations
sometimes they use a word and in another card they use a synonym but actually mean the same thing so players get confused and try to interprete the meaning.

but dandys attack cant be changed and neither can shulongs stats be changed... the wording may not be the same but the meaning totally is

But you can change a lot of thing on [card]Lady Yilith[/card] skills with "=X" cards even it bypass the +3/-3 limitation

ow than probably there is a difference in Venerable Shulong and the Normal version of shulong...

As Magic Attack, Fog Hydra, Obesity, even Magic Shield affects my normal shulong stats...

I havent met one with The scroll + Lucky Charm combo, so I don't know about this.

Zurga, tell me, according to your earlier statements, where does this fit?

Like Talandra mentioned, Modified, Enhanced or Reduced are (or should be) the same thing.

It is quite ridiculous to distinguish "+" & "-" changes and allow "=" & "/" changes.
I'm fairly certain that it is unintentional, and simply not working properly with certain cards.

Obesity doesn't affect Shulong's defense.
Magic Shield halves his attack... but shouldn't.
Solaris halves his defense... but shouldn't.
Fog Hydra affects his Spirit... but shouldn't.
What about Scroll of Frailty?

Oh, and please, the fact Shulong and Dandy are written different, has only 1 reason: translation issues.
Several similar mechanics in the game are written differently among different cards.

For the translations issue, perhaps in English, but I referring to French version, which is made by the game designer.
They have been consistent on this issue each time I speak with them.

I believe that there is a difference of behaviour between the normal Shulong and the Venerable Shulong.

I will ask to the staff and keep you informed.

Hm no its not..i played against the boss Shulong and the guy used obeisty evry even turn and his def was still 4..And for sure any stat reducer card what i have did not worked as well just like [card]stink bomb[/card] or [card]the plank![/card]

Shûlong is bugged but the correct design of the card is that when a "+X" or "-X" occurs, Shûlong laughs with all his teeth.
But when a "=X" occurs Shûlong loose the smile on his face and take the big change in his traits.

All I have said is correct and confirmed by the staff.

Whoo hoo! I have always thought that if "=X" does not work on Shulong will make it overpowered IMHO.

There seems to have been an update to shulong.
You can modify his stats with = x cards but now items give bonuses to him as well.
with 2x life devourer he now even stronger then before.
