The Mysterious Pheonix Campaign, which decks?

Fighting monsters arena-style is a really fun event.

[card]Foam Giant[/card] is a given winner here, right? Which other decks can keep on winning and surviving? Avalonians with [card]cup of life[/card] and high def?

My Pack-deck survived 10 fights which is enough to be able to get the trophy "The End Justify the Means" in time, I think.

C'mon, gimme some suggestion! Preferably some cheap, cheap decks as well for the newbies!

Edit: Spelling correction.

Right now im waiting on energy to try it but since there are a lot of beasts im thinking of running a multi sap deck. The [card]Butterfly Collar[/card]'s should shine here.

Do the monsters get harder as you progress?

Yeah, they do. Still very manageble monsters though as far as I can tell, given that I only had 60 energy.

Re : The Mysterious Pheonix Campaign, which decks?

only a little bit i think... but that may be just random... the first 3 i fought were giving themselves a bonus on one stat like spirit+1 against mage or +1 attack against marodeurs and their attack was 5/6 or 4/9 nothing big

the last few i fought were having things like enemy spirit set 0 at the beginning of fight and their attack was a bit higher reaching 7/11 and stuff

but i just went once and it may be random

[card]Shrikan[/card]
[card]Djamena[/card]
[card]Sakina, Priest Of Naptys[/card]

2 x [card]Basking In The Sun[/card]
2 x [card]Disembodiment[/card]
3 x [card]Forced March[/card]
2 x [card]Harshness[/card]
2 x [card]Lamentation Of Sol'ra[/card]
3 x [card]Litany[/card]
1 x [card]Punishing The Unpure[/card]
2 x [card]Solar Plastron[/card]
2 x [card]Storm Of Ptol'a[/card]
[card]Supplication[/card]

Works fine so far. Add [card]Solaris[/card] or [card]Divine Light[/card] if you want. What bothers me is 120 monster in 1 game makes 476 Energy.... isn't that a bit over the top?

Edit: There is one monster which gets Atk +3 against Priests and usually follows up with Asassinatinon, ending up with 14/15. So keep the chars high on Health and the damage reduction as high as possible^^

You don't really need Punishing The Unpure
Swap it for a Basking in the sun for more DR potential.

330 fights to get the phoenix...

Re : The Mysterious Pheonix Campaign, which decks?

You can get a special version of the phoenix egg by defeating the phoenix monster in combat.
The Phoenix looks pretty weak even at max level so I think the star of the event is [card]Olbat[/card] who has a pretty huge attack.

If you are going for the 120 wins a row trophy I think you need to buff a character enough so it takes no damage even when you play no cards. I think adelide + cursed books is the best option (healing, high spirit, high defence, ever increasing attack).

Shulong also cuts through the little beasties like a hot knife through butter.

Yeah Immortals seem to be a pretty safe bet. Does anybody know how much money it would cost to fight the 120 fights in a row which are required to get the achievement?

Probably going to have to buy the mega energy pack to do that...

423 extra energy is needed. So the cheapest option is getting 500 energy for 790 feez. That's about 11 euros.

Either this or replace the TG deck with some Healing cards.

Edit: Its not 120 in a row the 330/120 kills are cumulative.

Re : The Mysterious Pheonix Campaign, which decks?

They took the mission off , can't access it now.

Unless they give us bonus energy or extend the time limit as compensation spending Feez is the only way then to reach 330.

I don't think its worth the effort, just think how are you going to keep the egg alive for one fight with [2Def,1HP] to summon the phoenix.

I'm in it for the 120 kills monster.

5 days is enough for 360 4 energy missions, which is still doable

just need to play every waking moment (or every 4 hours)

Re : The Mysterious Pheonix Campaign, which decks?

I think I might go off the beatened path and try mechanist golem setup with Nut ,Galene, a Nut buffed Klementine. And simply buff Nuts attack and Galene's defense to keep Galene alive to keep in turn keeps Nut alive with Klem as a kill factor. But then again I have no access to the mode yet so wont be able to confirm sucess til able to play.

This.

Only 5 fights in a row is for a single game.
The rest is not for a single game.

there is one trophy among them which requires 50 kills in one single fight... but it wont give any other reward then a title... so its up to everyone whether they want the title or not
