Crost and his bonus to mages.

Since [card]Crost, guardian of the ritual[/card] is a Demon I don't see any point in him teaming up with mages...

There isn't a single card out there you want to include in your deck that can be used for the mages and the demon + it doesn't really makes sense.

Am I missing something that makes it worthwhile or is this just an ill chosen bonus?

One card for the mages, barely useful considering his initial 6/8 damage.

Considering Ami + Demi that is a 9/11 damage on first turn. (honestly that attack is better spent on playing portal combat with the opponent and use first turn to get that permanent attack on Crost.

It also doesn't gives a playable deck.

Re : Crost and his bonus to mages.

I suggest you to play Amidaraxar as the only mage of your line-up and play another Demon.
You have 2 demons and 1 mage.
The mage provide boost to demons and demon provaide boost to Mage and other demon.
If you play a guemelite/demon (like ardrakar level 4), you can play also spell with it.
It opens a lot of possibilities.

I was wondering the same thing, I prefer the abilities in his second form the most, almost seems like he was intended to play as either crost or blail ( or what ever his second name is) I'm actually thinking of just keeping him in his second form because of it.

Festivities is a nice card to play with here.
Amidaraxar using it.
Crost and Dimizar in your lineup.

Re : Crost and his bonus to mages.

That would still suck on cards but hotfoot has a point: [card]Bathi, guardian of the ritual[/card] has somewhat more usefulness.
