Would like to know what decks are you having an easier time with against this boss.
I'm guessing Solaris and Hand deny probably work, but I don't have the last upgrade of The Shadow, Lady of the Nehant, right now.
Anything else?
The annoying randomness of this boss randomly breaks permanent or discard-using decks.
EDIT - Here's a working deck:
Here's a deck idea:
Djamena (mine is Lv3)
Kararine (mine is Lv2)
Mouktar (mins is Lv2) - Better if replaced with Iolmarek (Eclipse)
3x [card]I Hate Mystics[/card] (always chains against the boss)
1x [card]Time to Die[/card] (chained into Burning Soul)
3x [card]Burning Soul[/card] (+10 or +16 Attack when combined with one of the above)3x [card]Expiation[/card] - Copies the 5 Spirit from the Boss
3x [card]Rampart of Faith[/card] - Played after Expiation, to give boss -5 Attack
(alternative) 3x [card]Aura of Faith[/card] - Played after Expiation, to get +5 Attack (but also 0 Spirit).1x [card]Sacred Intervention[/card]
3x [card]Stitches[/card]
3x [card]Banish[/card]
---Results:
- Expiation -> Rampart of Faith = avoid alot of magic and physical damage.
- Expiation -> Aura of Faith = avoid alot of magic damage before Aura of Faith puts your Spirit back to 0.
- I Hate Mystics always chains unless boss uses Sol'ra's Anger, in wich case he won't do much magic damage anymore, anyway.
- I Hate Mystics -> Burning Soul = +10 Attack
- Time to Die -> Burning Soul = +16 Attack- Don't be afraid to discard. You aren't planning to live to play the whole deck. Just hit the boss 3-4 times hard, he dies.

Actually Immortals with Solaris, Dazzle and Support of the Gods don't work so well. Neither does Demon Portal pack.
Hors ligne
You're not supposed to last against the boss.
I'm betting a good marauder deck with Burning Soul and the likes is what the boss calls for.
Hors ligne
Eh, the healing and the lack of defenses of the eclipse deck doesn't help when Burning Soul & Time To die don't come early enough...I've tried them a few times to no avail...
Hors ligne
Haven't tried it yet, but some friends told me they used banish (not sure this is the name in english, but it's the card that nullfies theurgies) and they handled him not so hard with Elfine and Weapons at Will decks..
Hors ligne
Any deck that uses your discard pile or lots of permanents is totally random win.
The boss removes your discard pile from the game every now and then.
I've beaten it with both Hakim-Sakina-Shrikan Temple Guardians, and Burning Soul Eclipse.
But would like to know more reliable strategies.
The boss still plays Theurgies after Sol'ra's Anger.
Hors ligne
Hey How did you beat him with TG? I have a similar deck to the Force march deck concept and the closest I've gotten is down to 6 health

I was lucky.
He played the wrong cards at the right time.
I got the Forced March's early enough to pretty much nullify all his damage.
By the time he started playing Scarab Swarm, I had hit him with Punishing the Unpure a few times, such that it barely damaged me.
I also kept one or two Litany up at all times, making my Spirit decent.
I was also lucky with his random "permanent removal" ability.
It is a very frustrating boss because of how random your odds are to beat him.
With Burning Soul deck, if those cards are at the end of the deck you lose.
With TG, if Forced March is at the end of the deck you lose.
The list goes on.
The one time I beat him without much luck needed was Burning Soul.

He has 0 defense, and like any Nomad should have a tough time with Sap multi-hit I would think. Haven't been able to play this deck, though, since I've been unable to snag a Melissandre (other priorities keep coming up ).

He has Obesity I think, which is really annoying and it makes it harder to Quick Draw him...
Hors ligne
I'm gona try the nomad quests today, see if I can beat him, with my Immortals, Witchblade, Blasters, Zil clerig discart or Paladin hammer deck... I think discard with massing anathematize should do it, once he has high spirit before he plays Sol'ra..

- Discard - forget about it, unless you can remove discard piles after each discard.
- WitchBlade - he's got 5 Spirit - not happening unless you can somehow do more damage than him in 1 Turn AND play Infiltration in that same Turn, then spam Infiltration in the following Turns.
Together with the card that neither player plays cards next turn, may work, dunno.
He goes down with pure beatdown based on Attack, but doesn't rely on permanents.
Hors ligne
i was beating this bug with my zil priests.
of course not by discarding his hand but by permanently decreasing his spirit while somewhat blocking his hands with sarcastic laughter... as for some reason he wont play them! it happened to me 2 times already that he stopped playing anything in midfight...
of course its not a waterproof deck because it so much depends on whether u can equip keycards fast enough but in the end i win more often then lose

He's freaking ridiculous, I tried it again with TG, he removed ALL my permanents, including my cursed big blade, that was my winning ticket...but NOOOOOO ofcourse not

Ice Elves worked well for me.. the quicker he plays Sol'ra's Anger the better as northern lights and amethyst blizzards can be used more effectively. Winter Truce would give him -6 attack as well so u can survive much easier.
Could probably try something similar with demon hunters.

Awkward enough in my game play, my demon hunter deck proved doubtful. His high spirt proved my downfall. He played right cards at right time. Negated my spells played punished the impure my spirt and def down and healed himself through my burst.

It depends on how your demon hunter deck is actually. What's the characters you use for the deck? Fire damage, or katamaru/onijutsu ?
Hors ligne
Nashi, Kage, Yu, for characters, Spell stacked with Integrity / Katamaru combos. Onijustu if he plays Anger, Pray for Spirts, Rosary jewls, Fire with Fire and Randori. With Evil Eye and Origami support. Seems solid but the random def and att reduction on turns, his solaris combos and random healing / displacement of my evil eye negate any kind of burst I can get in a turn. 4 out of 4 trys ended up losses due to a solaris heal.
