The more common phy & magic dmg decks i can think of my mind are
Ice elves
Demon Hunter
Shadow mages
Witchblade
Hors ligne
magic and physical attacks

i used to play witchblade when they were unstoppable mixing them with ROD are there any other ways of building them without relying on ROD?
Hors ligne
well i never tryed these decks but i think Demon hunters are one of the best deck especially against non humans..They surviveing skills and attack power is realy hard and they a bit cheaper than a Whitchblade deck

yes there are several new ways after the latest whitchblade relase..like the armor and that 5/1 card

so is it better to go for the 3 buffs or stick to the same 3 characters?

tsoutai with ROD
+1 on this.
Tsoutai have pretty amazing flexibility, not only can they hit you with RoD/Fireball and then still smack you, they are absolute mage killers with Katamaru.
Plus, when alive Ayako prevents them from having their attack reduced, which even gives you a fighting chance against discard.
And as a bonus, while it takes a fair amount of leveling/grinding, you can put the main 3 characters together rather cheaply. The supporting cards will run you a little more, but all in all it's a super-fun deck, 75% competitive when played smartly, and probably one of the best 'benefit for cost' decks out there.
Big heart Tsoutai.

Tsoutai are amazing. There are 2 different type of deck types you can focus on and both them are great.
The first a rather more expensive version focuses on using flawseeker's meditation and ROD, this combo makes Akutsai able to one shot most characters. In this form I use 3 ROD, 3 Harmony, 3 Calling, 3 Meditation, and 3 Katamura.
The second I have not tested as much and it focuses on using the Fu, Shi, Mi combo, and i prefer the first version even though it is more expensive.
Toran Benefits the deck because he allows flawseeker meditation chain
Ayako is VERY hard to kill when harmony is used
Akutasi is a cannon
A lot of people use flawseeker's fury, but I have found that it doesnt help a lot and limits the power of flawseeker's harmony

Flawseeker's Fury is only against discard but I agree it is not as synergistic with other Tsoutai cards.
