[card]Councilor Ishaia[/card] has an awesome ability and Order bonus, and 4 Guilds - Noz'Dingard, Kotoba, Zil Warriors, Desert Nomads.
[card]Doyen Verace-Councilor[/card] has a nice Order bonus that allows impossible combos, and wichever Guilds are in play:
- Without Councilor Ishaia, he can have 3 from your side alone.
- With Councilor Ishaia, he can have 5 from your side alone.
My suggestion is giving each Dual-Guild Courtesan a Third Guild, by adding a new Evolution or simply changing the card.
Story-wise, it makes sense that the various Courtesans would attempt to make connections with the increasing amount of Guilds coming out.
Facts:
1 - Plenty cards depend on a connection between your courtesans and the opponents (Tea Ceremony, Manipulation, etc).
2 - When the Courtesans were designed, there were 5 guilds in the game, Mercenaries included - currently there are 8 guilds.
Results:
1 - [card]Emissary[/card] is a weak card that occupies a spot in a Chain just to let your other card do its intended purpose... it doesn't even give you a shred of help like reducing the damage you take this by 1 in addition or something.
2 - Releasing Courtesan cards that require your character to share a guild with the opposing character is becoming unviable.
3 - Doyen and Ishaia won't lose their Legendary'ness with this suggestion.

Didn't you already make one of these complaining about how Courtesans should have another guild? Why didn't you bump it like your other post instead of making a new one?

Because it was on discussions rather than suggestions, and I updated the topic with new information.

On Topic...
In the previous discussion, it was said my idea might make A or B overpowered.
Well guess what, Feerik made Doyen Verace-Councilor, wich can have all guilds in the game, but most importantly, always has the same guild as the opponents, wich means Tea Ceremony and whatnot will always work when played by him.
That in itself makes my idea quite simple and legitimate.
Having a Chain order and a Guarantee to have the opposing characters' Guild is enough to be Legendary.
Giving a Third guild to dual-guild courtesans would in no way diminish the value of neither Ishaia nor Doyen.
Oh, and Happy New Year!

Ha, they don't accept trolls as Mods XD
Anyways, my problem is still you thinking tacking a third guild onto an existing character. Eredan is a highly story line oriented game. I'll use the example of giving Hasna's level 5 evolution including her being a Pirate. I sincerely doubt Feerik would just add a new evolution to a character that's already over a year old. Making an existing character an evolution piece for a new character (Like Kounok the Prophet) is okay. Not to mention it made sense, since Kounok was Prophet's brother anyways.
Now, if they made an overhauled Courtesan release which had new, 3-guild Courts, I'd be okay with it. Because it makes sense. I'm not saying the concept of 3-Guild Courts was bad, or stupid, or OP (Although it could be that last one, who knows.) I simply said that augmenting existing characters makes no sense.

But my policy is keeping the cards up to par with the meta game, or branching into various upgrades, rather than trivializing old cards...
It's very coherent - story wise and conceptually - to give dual-guild courtesans a third guild... because with the new guilds, it makes all sense that a Courtesan tries to make more ties and keep his back covered from as many sides as possible.
So hypotetically speaking:
- Kimiko = Desert+Kotoba+Sap
- Hasna = Desert+Zil+Pirate
- Angela = Desert+Noz+Zil
- Mylad = Pirate+Sap+Noz
- Marlok = Noz+Zil+Pirate
Etc...
Or maybe some of them could have Mercenary as one of the guilds.
Like Kimiko = Desert+Kotoba+Mercenary
This is just hipotetically speaking.

Didn't Angela assassinate Ishaia? I don't think she'd be aloud in the Courts after that.

Only the player knows she did.
What part of hypotetically speaking did you miss?

Yeah, the irony of caring enough to say you don't care.
These forums are pretty unfriendly right now.

I doubt there will ever be a Nehant Court. They're, you know, Evil. They're so evil the Mercenaries won't even be in a deck with them.

I agree. Something needs to change in the story to make nehantists promote other guilds from corruptible, expendable minions to potential allies.
But hey, if Doyen can relate...
