Pirate Cards & Analyze suggestion

I believe [card]Conquer or Perish[/card] is a decent card but completely useless against several decks.

Mage, Item-heavy or high Defense decks provide an overwhelming challenge to Pirate Marauders.

As if it wasn't enough, any player with half a brain playing a deck with both spells (or items) and actions, will know on his turn all he needs to do is play the action first, and on our turn he can play something else and ignore Conquer or Perish completely.

Gemineye may be able to use Implosion and Collision, but it's 1 character out of 3, unless you use Ardranis wich greatly gimps your overal damage potential just to try and cover a weakness.

One of the cards that feebly attempts to deal with this is Analyze, however it lasts only 2 Turns, occupying your deck with an effect that "might" work - alot of decks revolve reducing your attack or using effects that reduce damage without increasing defense.

Still it's a card that has its use. I just find it sad the powder keg+powder weapons+golem deck works so much better than the Pirate Marauders...

[Suggestion #1]:
- Give [card]Analyze[/card] an (Upgrade 2) with Duration 3 Turns
- Give a new card (or an existing card's upgrade) the effect of "resetting" the Duration of all the "Analyze" cards attached to your characters back to 2 (or 3) Turns.

Note: Any of the above -may- remove the need for Suggestion #2.

[Suggestion#2]:
Conquer or Perish + Analyze = Slay or be Slain:

Comparing to [card]Conquer or Perish[/card]:
+ Against Theurgies or Spells you gain +1 Spirit and perform a Min Attack.
- Loses the static Defense bonus.
- Against Actions you gain +1 Defense and perform a physical Attack.

Note: If the opposing character plays both an Action and a Theurgy/Spell, you do NOT get the anti-Spell/Theurgy effect; You only get the anti-Action effect.

Comparing to [card]Favor of the Dawn[/card]:
+ Reacts to Theurgies.
+ has an attack component
- Gives smaller Stat bonuses.
- Doesn't react to Items.
- Only chains into Items.
- Pirate-only
- Marauder-only

I completely agree, Conquer or perish is nice idea but bad build, analyze is one of the worst rare card in pirate guild. I love Prate marauders but is almost near unplayable... Gemineye is a real good unit! but hiscompanion don't..... units like Ardranis, Jon the filibuster, Hook and in some cases Lil layer..... wait.... I said it all?

This kind of decks would be Interesting if you have multiple Air Guemlites to overcome enemy defense. I believe that the best build for this deck is the Hydra-marauders... but if the snake was pirate the things would be different.
Thanks for the review, I hope they give new energy to this decks in future.

Actually Jon the Filibuster, Hook and Gemineye have good stats when together.
Yet... they get smashed by tough defense decks.

fully agree with this thread!
it's kinda my favorite to play in 11+ room XD

sure they need the card you porpouse and also something like [card]ice coffin[/card]
hope to see something like this in the next few weeks!

and for this kind of deck "show mast go on" and "implosion" are necessary

Narwhal attacks out of combat characters - [card]Distracted[/card] works against your current target.
Narwhal uses Min Attack - Hook has 7/10 base attack; Laddie has 6/11.
Hook gains +1 Attack at the start of a fight if he has a powder weapon (Narwhal).

Hook is better than Laddie.

Analyze fulfills the purpose of softening up opponents very poorly.
