Hi guys,

This is just for a bit of fun really

What are your favorite illustrations?

Several categories below.

Legend

Character: fully illustrated individual like [card]Gakyusha[/card]

Situation: a moment, a situation, a scene, an action like [card]sunburn[/card]

Now bear in mind that card stats are not taken into account.

Please state briefly why you picked this illustration

1) The most stylish one (character or situation or both)

2) The most epic one (situation only related to the story)

2) The most technical one (ie maybe not the prettiest but perhaps one that you think had a lot of work put in to it)

3) The funniest one (character or situation or both)

4) The sexiest one (character or situation , male or female)

5) The charismatic badass one (character only)

6) The "meh" one (character only, "meh" meaning non-charismatic of course)

7) The "could of been awesome but failed a little" one (cool concept but failed in design, character + situation or both)

Here is my own personal input.

Illustrations

1) The most stylish one

Situation:

Love it, the colors the saint seiya reference, just perfect!

2) The most epic one

More general to Eredan than related directly to the story, there is something really awesome about the Mystic slayer(s) posing like Batman and being all mysterious.

2) The most technical one

Love the angle and the visual impact this card provides, a lot of detail and thought has been put into it and it's simply awesome.

3) The funniest one

Love it and the flavor text tops it off

4) The sexiest one

Situation:

What can I say, i'd love to be invited to this party and have tea too

5) The charismatic badass

Character:

Not my favorite guild yet love the colors, the absolute power and charisma of Prophet in this one. love the small reference to FF8 too.

6) The "meh" one

The kid has potential...just don't like his design and he looks like a dork! lol

7) The "could of been awesome but failed a little" one

I can't take Aez seriously, there something out of place with this dude, he makes me feel as if he's the only one wandering around the world crying for his dad...cry me a river Aez

Just my personal input

Flavor text

1) The one with the cool lines (character statement)

Mystic Slayer level 3: So, we will both put down our weapons and we'll try and kill each other like civilized people?

(Love it for the reference and is perfect for the mystic slayer)

2) The funny one (character statement or observation text)

"That's a order" and "potato peeling duty"

"we want you" they said, aahh the wonders of propaganda..
"we want you" she said, aahh the wonders of female powerplay...

(Always funny when a random guy states his opinion)

3) The ultimate bad ass one (character statement or observation text)

Tsuro level 1

"If you can smile when things go wrong, you have someone in mind to blame"

(the old timer is a bad ass, no questions asked)

4) The "let's face it ... that was an epic fail" one (character statement or observation text)

Ydiane Level 1 "Even if her bow was broken, she would still kill you, what do you expect? She's the best...

(just falls flat really)

Illustration

1) Keizan. I love all the individual leaves coming off of the cloak, giving it a very natural look.

2)Finish Him. Great story telling through the card, and as a bonus, I hate Prophet, so, that really tipped the scale in favor for me.

3)Foamie. I love all the random stuff stuck in him. Lots of attention to detail.

4)Mental Prison. Prophet getting prison raped. Need I say more?

5)Okooni. Hands down,

6)Dark. Level 4, to be exact. I just don't dig the dominatrix get up. She had alot of potential with the tattered traquemage get up in level 1, just didnt do it for me at level 4.

7)Elysia. Malindrin ended up looking pretty awesome, if only Elysia would have followed the same path. She ended up being kind of boring and mostly looking the same, just in a different pose throughout her evolution.

Flavor Text

1)Kounok the Prophet: "Death cannot stop the Dragon."

2)Master/Expert Craftsman: "F**K you Ramen/Delko."

3)Do you feel lucky punk?: "Kill someone randomly? It happens. Card and flavor text.

4)Abomination: "Release the beast." Super corny, and not in the ironically funny way.

Stylish:

Just the setting of the card and coloration is appealing to me.

Epic one:

I feel this one fits the bill the best to me personally, as everyone was already battle weary, that could not be a welcome sight.

Technical:

Great attention to details, nice coloration, and looks like someone took their time with it to make it that way.

Funniest:

This one since I saw it had me hooked to this game, I literally had to take a double look to make sure I read the title of it right. Now if only it had a reference to being in the back of a Volkswagen...

Sexiest:

Hey some people have a thing for bondage...

Charismatic Badass:

stylish

dramatic tension between the masked assassin and priest with the glowing cathedral windows in the background, artist did a great job

the emperor watches and laughs because he knows the kid is going to win against the ninjas or vice versa? Or maybe because he doesn't care either way.. there's probably some background story in french somewhere, either way its an interesting scene also I really like the the interplay of color

epic

because its important to keep things in perspective, ants are to us as we are to ?

suggestive of a great battle

eternal struggle between good and evil

technical

undulating dragon in the background, the meditating guy surrounded by crisp lines of parting water, iridescent fish, very unique

the dramatic pose and central positioning with other figures surrounding but washed out gives importance to the messenger and thus by inference the proclamation itself

a scene of lush opulence and rich colors. While its not necessarily the most detailed the way the artist expresses the card's namesake is impressive. Would you trust any of those people?

funny

why she's holding up a sleeping dragon's mouth with an umbrella I have no idea but the absurdity of it is amusing

probably a bad person to hire for entertainment at your kids next birthday party

the over-the-top expression of that kabuki guy in the face of epic boobage, hilarious

sexy

a hot desert princess

with strategically placed starfish

meh

this series to me just sort of lacks the usual artistic flair

charismatic badass

yep the shadow is pretty cool

I like this one actually but the priestess looks weird to me somehow

Stylish & Epic

Just awesome! Sadly, the character at max level isn't half as cool.

Stylish

Super stylish! The coloring, the detail, the expression.
Note: I'd love to see this version of Soraya become playable (maybe Eclipse version), or maybe this isn't Soraya at all xD

Could have Been

With such an awesome Lv1 and Lv2 drawings, and an amazing card featuring her ([card]Dazzle[/card]), the actual character at max level is plain awful. What a shame.

Cool pose and those magic runes in his hand and of course the mask

well its a battlefield look at those flames and that dead demon and of course zahals scar

1) Most Stylish - The scene is so crisp and clear... background and all...

2) Most Epic - Zahal assisting Marlok....

Epic Yaoi....hang in there buddy i got your behind!!!

3) Most Technical - Just one picture explains alot of the story

Love the pose, the weapon and the details, awesome drawing for awesome character

2)Epic and tecnical (yep, all in one):
The scene looks really good and i love the look on melissandre's face and hailwalker's pose, its just like a typical damsel in distress situation

3)Sexiest:
No need for words

5)Charismatic:
So cute^^, and kinda hawt XP

This one looks really cool , like a feminine dais, altough se is a beast

These 2 cards seem so out of place in the game, dont know why:
