As was discussed before in the Bug section, it seems the Deck Out condition for losing is checked on the draw phase (beginning of a turn).
I really think it should be checked at the end of a turn.
2 things I think should be changed:
- At the end of the turn, if you have less than 5 cards in your hand, and your deck has 0, you lose.
- This would cause [card]A New Start[/card], [card]Magic Hat[/card], [card]Moneyed[/card], [card]Freeze[/card] and [card]Watcher[/card] and other such cards to be played properly and always have their intended effect.
Note: Currently if at the start of a turn you had less than 5 in your hand and couldn't draw, you will lose at the end of turn no matter what you do. Even if you use A New Start, Moneyed, Watcher and whatnot.
Same thing to the opponent, he will lose in the same condition even if u "Freeze" his items back into the deck.
Any thoughts?
EDIT: Sigh... French Forum again... Why am I posting in English Discussions, click <- and then Suggestions and suddenly I'm in French Suggestions...

The deck out loosing condition exists since the beginning of the game.
It will not be changed, as it always worked that way, even if it can be counter-intuitive for some people.
Thank you,

The cards you listed function exactly as they are supposed to. Just because you want them to function differently, does not mean the way they work in the game's flow is wrong.
The game's rules are there so you work around them and/or with them to defeat your opponent; utilise them to your advantage to win the game instead of suggesting a change to core rulings, because you see them unfit to your playstyle.
