First of all sorry for my english. I'll try tro explain what i mean
The most played deck is the discard deck, the most of top players play a discard deck with ishaia.
The discard deck is the strongest, and what have you done this week?
You have added new discard cards, really well done...
the game is getting unplayable, there's one only choice, have the same deck.
Stop please. You have to do something, a card game is good when there are lots of playable deck.
I don't think i'll make this discard deck too, I prefer leave the game if the situation doesn't change.

i actually am quite happy tinkering with various decks buying and selling to try things to counter it. But I enjoy the strategizing before the fight.

Ihave to correct me. I have understand that the problem are'nt discard deck, The real problem is Ishaia. She's overpowered.
Thanks to Ishaia a player, already in the first turn can give all their characters a bonus +4 in confront of opponent characters,
using the mage defense, or manipulation.
Ishaia should be banned from my point of view.
Or the only alternative is that everyone uses her.
it's not good

Should Yilith be banned then cause you can't boost more than +3 against her? Or foamie cause he chains any item, any guild? Ish only adds +1 to effects, not realy OP is it!

Those are some cards that make the so called 'overpowered' Ishaia look like a waste of deck space. Before you complain about a card being overpowered, look into actually finding a way to beat and get around it first. Its a strategy game, you are supposed to use your mind and not cry about cards you just cannot overcome instantly.

i been aching to get my hands on her for a while now...discards are a good weakness and there's a card (i can't remember what it's called) that ignores all card effects attached to ***bip*** opponent. (not to lay bare, that one is item specific) i don't have Ish, but Galmara is pretty tough with 3 manips, 3 OV, runic gauntlet and a life devourer....my opponent played that card and won the match. i didn't know whether to congratulate him or curse his soul...lol. before that match i didn't even know it existed.

This is my Ishaia. There are many like it, but this one is mine. My Ishaia is my best friend. It is my life. I must master it as I must master my life. My Ishaia, without me, is useless. Without my Ishaia, I am useless. I must play my Ishaia true. I must play better than my enemy who is trying to kill me. I must beat him before he beats me. I will...
Also ish is far from weak. She has 1 shot people many a time in my deck. I don't use that 2 bit trick like all the other pimps do

thing is, you need to play cards to TRY to kill their wall, while they keep removing yours..
Ish + Abyss + Salem is ridiculous to beat unless they get the worst draw, or your deck is built to counter them, which leaves you useless against other decks.
------
Stop teasing about the "OP OP", and try to beat a complete discard deck, even without legendarys, tell me how it goes
--
Just in case, I'm not against Ish's +1 to spells, that card function is accord to its price, I'm against having to run a dedicate deck to counter discards decks, even low tier discards costs less than 20k crystals, and your best counters are Noz Mages, ANS, Obesity, which are really expensive
Bottomline, think of it this way, with 5 cards they have the walls up, while you need to play a lot of cards to take them out, so,
- The best way to beat a discard deck is not playing cards or making sure you OHKO them (which is nearly impossible, since you need the best draw in your deck and the worst on theirs)
- By the time you manage to kill one of their chars, you won't have enough good cards left to kill the rest, = they win

Against a discard deck?
No, fighting the Courtesans I stack Firions and Idols of Life on the same golem, and hope for the best. Sometimes good, sometimes bad.

as i zil player i've been facing the same deal since i was leveled enough to get a few good oponents:
my zil: beat down, hit hard, hit fast, if something go wrong, game over
after observing my oponents i learned you gotta have 2-4 slots to counter stuff that hit your weaknesses and as the game grew I observed my deck usually loses in some situations:
1 - when my opponent got a faster/stronger beat down (witchblade, crow, quick draw)
2 - when my opponent is able to build a high defense in the very beginning to counter high attack while dealing low/medium damage, in these cases even defeating all the opponents at the cost of my own chars i lose by score
3 - when my opponent got control cards that reduce my deck capabilities (most discard and courts)
after all I learned that a few cards/strategies would help me out:
-dealing direct damage (dagger master, storm which is actually a general strategy after all)
-predicting certain moves and countering them (obesity)
-reducing opposing defenses (scroll of immobility, ill omen)
-holding back to give it all out at once (works good against discard)
-one-shooting the most important char of the opposing line right away (ishaya for courts/discard, foam giant in crafts, generally my opponents leave after i do the latter)
-magic damage (works wonders against most decks)
-a few defensive cards (bunny, fallback, though I personally prefer the latter)
-most importantly - the surprise element and the guts to take risks. Sometimes, skipping the order bonuses or doing something in a very uncommon way breaks the nerves of the opponent and give you a chance to turn around corny situations.
you see... most beat down decks work well with these few hints but that takes a lot of playing and experince and knowing your own deck, possibilities and weaknesses
but i want to repeat that there`s never 100 percent winning rate for any deck and it's all a matter of strategy and adaptation, and there`s always the luck factor. I could turn around some situations many times just by some luck or some planing on the first turn
(i just hope i didn't give out about my own deck)

QFT.
To counter even the weakest of discard decks you often need to resort to Legendaries, or cards that will otherwise be useless against non-discard decks.
Getting [card]A New Start[/card], [card]Moneyed[/card] and/or [card]Watcher[/card] in your deck JUST to counter discard screws you against all the other kinds of decks.

Hi,
French players have started a topic on how to counter discard decks (initiated by a player using discard...). This is a very instructive topic, and I would encourage English players to do the same: constructive, useful posts on how to counter discard decks let people learn that no, you do not need legendaries to counter a discard deck. There are some strategies, one being quite successful being "do not use any cards, you will still make more damages than your discard opponent while gaining a few turns".
Then, winning is a matter of strategy. It involves lessening bad luck and enhancing good luck, but there is still "luck" in the game
