Yes you must do some maths when using or fighting her..
basically Zerya lvl 1 is designed so that if the opponent hits her with less than 9 she will not lose any HP at all as this will be healed by her effect..
If the opponent hits with 9 or above she will be left with 1 HP ALWAYS in the respective turns, no matter how much attack the opponent builds up..
this is the math:
Zerya lvl 1 has 9 hp and gets hit with 10 damage:
9 - 10 = -1
but those 10 damage points are restored -8 by her effect, in this case "2" so:
9 - 10 = -1 + 2 = 1
you can try this with any amount of damage and of course the result is always 1.
Zerya lvl 2 is the same deal and gets 1 HP left as well.
Zerya lvl 3 is the same but gets 2 HP left.
This effect only applies to physical damage, not magical.
I put some effort into these so I'll appreciate all the feedback!

Like the artwork for a start. The card idea is nice too. She will suffer against Zil and Courts though..but weaknesses are good.

I'd be easier to understand (the effect) if it's something in the lines of
"Zerya can take up to X physical damage until the end of the turn".
There wont be need for heal, when she takes more than X ... she just doesnt' take it.
Anyways .. the art is ... god darn it I wish I could draw like this o.O

I like the idea. She is a marauder, so maybe you want to put her an attack bonus against some class.

dan ~ yep, that's what i was thinking, making her OP would be the closest thing to begging for the card idea to be ignored, thanks !
poptolev ~ well that's not what i had in mind.. someone taking the time to study her effect will soon notice that cards and effects such as [card]Kimiko[/card]'s HP diminish, [card]Upper hand[/card], [card]ice shield[/card], would still take away that 1 HP she has left, making her invinsible against any scheme during those turns doesn't seem fair, thanks!

How about give her a fair warrior attack score at level 1, like 4/7? Then at level 2, make her attack score 0 and unmodifiable, but make her defense higher like 3. Then as an additional effect, make the attacker lose health equal to half the damage dealt? Then at level 3, defense is zero, has a decent attack like 6/8, and keeps the health loss ability.
I'm basing my suggestions on the metamorphosis shown in the art.

that sounds good but level two would be tough
to level you would need completely different decks

well, fair attack score is a good idea, the half attack thing i don't really see it. as an insect, the idea is that of when you try to kill a cockroach or any insect through every possible way and it somehow remains barely alive, so survivability (the 1 hp left trick) and possibilities at damage is what i had planned for an insect chaste..

hmm, i'm a zil fan so i guess i'm partial to them, but i wouldn't vote for sap heart as they have basically no "waste" characters in their ranks, unlike most guilds..maybe make her so that she can be played in sap heart and zil? =o) i think that would make her unique though..

yeah she dose look like a sap heart, but with the zil that dosent matter, look at morlck or how ever you spell his name hes like a Noz and stuff, yet hes zil, its like the zil take in the traitors and stuff so it seems like a good fit for the zil, altho i think the flavor text needs some work, it seems kinda random, but i get what your trying to say with it

I love these card ideas. I think she would be amazing, since she is zil, in a circus discard deck(maybe) because she'd force the game to go at least 4 turns.
My only problem is that marauders by definition do have that +1 attack against [class] but that is a simple change. For some reason I feel against mage or priest are good options

The text in the card doesn't indicate what you say it does.
It only means you will survive a physical attack once, no matter how hard it hits.
It does -not- mean you are immune to damage below 8 (at Upgrade 1).
- If you take 10 damage, you heal 10-8 = 2. So you have 9 hp, it goes down to -1 from damage, then back to 1 from the healing.
- If you take 8 damage, you heal 8-8= 0, So if you have 9 hp, it goes down to 1 from damage, and stays at 1.
- If you take 5 damage, you heal 5-8=-3 (0), so if you have 9 hp, it goes down to 4 from damage, and stays at 4.

However, if you are at 4 hp, and suffer 20 damage on turn 4, you go down to -16, then you heal 20-8 = 12, going up to -4.

If you want the card to always keep 1 HP after taking Physical damage on turns 1 to 4, just say that in the card:
Turns 1, 2, 3 and 4: Physical damage that would take "Zerya" below 1 HP is ignored.
If you want the card to be immune to damage below X, just say that in the card:
Turns 1, 2, 3 and 4: Physical damage below 8 taken by "Zerya" is ignored.
