OP or not? Most top elo players have the hungry void (I don't though, don't need that card to be good).

But having multiple lives with this combo is really just... umm.. to say it in a nice way... unethical.

I know most of you don't play ELO but this combo literally breaks any deck.

and please do not say "lol just use prestige or anathematize" cause those cards are very situational, especially against this combo.

true, althing must be removed at the end of its effect

also, you can play clonning (i dont know the true name) to recycle this card over and over again

Hungry void is really not the biggest problem when facing a deck in elo.
Yes it's extremely powerful as it allows you to play any card twice, and also adapt to the opponent's play...
In fact, the only problem I have with this card, is not beeing able to counter the card he'll ^play through his hungry void.
But it is not the most powerful... I find the prestige way better...

About the althing, there is nothing to discus; it's a game desgin mistake...

At least you can't use cataclysm multiple time...
Once you use it, the game stops.
It's not the same with the althing. And the fact that you can play it over, and over again is really a problem...
But cataclysm is imo a problem too, it's just less problematic...

At least Cataclysm cannot be used in Amnezy... and who the hell even thought that a card giving complete immortality for one turn was a good idea? Especially considering that it can be recycled.

I don't know where this comes from. It is not a perma ban...
It can get banned, but it won't always be...

And people complained about Cataclysm being UP when it was released , and i thought i was the only one used it in the last 2 tournaments

It might happen when they recognize a design of card is broken... like old Ourenos had permaban status before the nerf.

well if they permaban Althing in ELO , i would suggest Cataclysm permaban as well.
they are both gamebreakers.

some effects like taichi sword deals damage to the enemy at last and kill you anyway

skadooosh, you can abuse cataclysm with shulong its not the same because he cant be played in elo, but its annoying

You have more counter for [card]cataclysm[/card] then for [card]the althing[/card].

[card]cataclysm[/card] counter: every heal, reduction from damage ([card]forced march[/card], Nebsen...), [card]the althing[/card], [card]fake death[/card]
[card]the althing[/card] counter: every damage that come after [card]the althing[/card] effect (Sol'ra, [card]taichi sword[/card]...)

And if your [card]cataclysm[/card] fails you lose the game if your [card]the althing[/card] fails then only one of you character dies that would have died anyway. [card]the althing[/card] has no drawback and you can use it more then one time.

Her my idea how to fix this card...

At the end of the turn if you charakter health points are infertor to 1, they turn to 1 and all your cards that you are wearing are discarded.
The damage that this character deals is reduce by 10 for the rest of the game.
This card is withdraw from the game.

if you have a card attached that does damage for 1 or more points at the end of the turn, they die, assuming you have hit them below 0 prior to althing...I know I've died so many times that way....

Has anyone tested the althing against cards like [card]unfortunate encounter[/card] or [card]wild buds[/card]? At least last I checked those happened after the opponents got healed so depending on the situation there might actually be a way to take all of your opponents cards out at once. I would also suggest [card]corruption of the soul[/card] and [card]scorpio blow[/card], but the Althing would probably discard those cards.

Althing effect should only be once and removed from the game. [card]Fake Death[/card] is bad enough to deal with but at least it is only used once.

Making it targetable by recycling effect is quite overpowered to be honest. And it has no drawback.

Neither Scheme because it will go back to your hand before healing you.
