Hit for Hit

I don't think it's a glitch, but I'm not sure why this card either isn't working properly OR if I'm not a fool who doesn't know how to use it right.

I'm getting the +2 to defense but not the other affect.  Thank you in advance.

You must get hit before the bonus occurs.

So the card is great used:
- On enemy turn if he is a physical attacker
- On your turn if you expect enemy to use damage spells or direct damage cards

Example:
[card]Chestnut[/card] Lv3 (5/9 Attack plus additional 5 damage)
If it's enemy turn, and you use Hit for Hit, and he hits you once, you will deal 6/9 + 6 damage)

Example 2:
If you are against a Mage, and it's his turn, and you use Hit for Hit, if he uses a damage spell BEFORE you play your HfH, you will NOT get bonus from that damage.
