Dear players, time has come for us to share with you the answers to the questions you've asked some time ago. Yet, we did not choose a dozen questions among all those you asked but we have tried to answer to them all.
I'll let Chsxf, our beloved project manager, take over.
What about the progression of the creation of decks module?
Chsxf: The clan module being a major project, it is difficult for us to give more information on what's gonna come next. Yet we do know progress has to be made.
What can you say about the game becoming “more aggressive and less control”?
Chsxf: We didn't decide to set up a more aggressive environment but we definitively want to stop decks that can make a game last for ages. It is a constraint we stick too since one of Eredan iTCG's qualities is that you can start a game whenever you want knowing that it won’t last more than 10 minutes.
In fact, we aren’t trying to avoid control cards but lock decks. While sticking to that constraint, it is difficult to release cards that won’t block the entire game but do enable the player to control some of its aspects. Still, we are open to any suggestions.
Are you willing to set up a 2v2 mode?
Chsxf: A 2v2 game mode could be interesting, but the difficulty to conceive it makes it hardly imaginable. Unfortunately, other functionalities have priority. What's more, the experiences of our competitors who tried this particular sort of game mode and abandoned make us think that there is no much point in it.
How does the staff consider the community?
Chsxf: We are proud of having a community of fervent gamers and of the keen interest Eredan iTCG gives rise to. We often draw our inspiration from what the players thinks about the game, even when they have negative opinions.
Now, if there’s one thing we have learned, it's that we can't please all of our players, some ask for things other would hate but we try to satisfy each of you as much as we can.
How does the staff consider the Guild Leaders? What role is their role, exactly?
Chsxf: We are trying to improve our contacts with the Guild Leaders to make it easier for our Game Designers to handle their suggestions.
It's a process that takes time to establish since we need to adapt it to a perfectly well organized system without impairing efficiency. But we believe that it will be highly beneficial. Guild Leaders already take part in some projects such as the redoing of the starter decks.
I'd also like to say that their opinion is taken into account when new cards are created. They act as consultants, but they are in no way responsible for the conception and the final decisions. I wanted to make it clear to be sure there will be no pressure or scolding from other players.
Are you going to sell Eredan goodies?
Chsxf: We have made some Eredan goodies for various exhibitions we took part in. And we are considering the idea of producing other goodies using different medium yet no project has been completed up to now.
Are tournaments with the permanent ELO planned?
Chsxf: We must work on the ELO system first. We'd rather keep it for a permanent ranking, but nothing is finalized for the moment.
Have you planned to revalue the trophies?
Chsxf: That is one of our projects, we are working on it. That's all I can say.
When will we see new alternative illustrations? (Overwhelming Victory, Team Spirit, Mentalism, Blackmail, etc)?
Chsxf: Eredan requires many illustrations and we prefer releasing novelties than alternative illustrations. It might happen again but very rarely for the moment.
Have you planned to develop the background besides the weekly events?
Chsxf: In fact we do, already, in two different ways: the PvE with certain campaigns that are related to the story (Assault on Bramamir, Thread of Time) and the monthly events (Man Hunt, Kaes, etc).
What about the characters left aside (Quilingo, Helena)?
Chsxf: In regards of the huge number of characters we have, some have to be left aside but that doesn't mean they won't be used in the future.
In the adventure mode, will it be possible to get back collector cards or former illustrations that aren’t available anymore?
Chsxf: Not for the moment. We reserve them for other projects. *mysterious smile*
Is there a plan concerning the coming releases?
Chsxf: There is one, indeed. But as a great, wise philosopher would say: it's a secret!
Is a restructuring of the website on the agenda?
Chsxf: It is indeed, but here again, as long as the clan module is not set up, we can hardly give more details about the rest.
Have you planned to enable one to reconnect to a game after a disconnection bug?
Chsxf: We have and it's even one of our priorities.
What about the possibility to “defoil” a card?
Chsxf: It's in progress. But I can't tell you when it will be available. The clan module! The clan module!
Will you be hiring staff to accelerate the game debug?
Chsxf: We work as hard as we can to fix these bugs as quickly as possible. We might extend the team but we have no open position for now.
Will Nehantist, Pirate and Runic values exist someday?
Chsxf: They will, but not immediately. As it has often been said, we don't want to set up values who don’t match the spirit of a guild. The problem is that our artificial intelligence cannot handle the subtleties of the particular mechanism of Pirates, Runics and Nehantists for now.
Battle of the Guilds: Once all the guilds will have fought against each other, why not organize a general battle?
Chsxf: A sort of royal battle could be interesting, indeed. We are going to think about it. I'm sure Dimizar can find us a good reason to do that ;p
Have you planned to revalue the daily quests?
Chsxf: We have. Talking about it, if you have ideas, feel free to let us now in the suggestion section (or send an email to Sapphon).
Will the Antimagic Glyphs come back one day?
Chsxf: Not for now, but we might work on them to make them available again someday.
Will the Fair play system be revised?
Chsxf: It will. And very, very soon. But, for that too, we need to wait for the clan module to be set up first.
Are you going to try and improve the battle of the guilds?
Chsxf: That is something we have talked about, especially with our advisers. We are fully aware that the system is far from being perfect and needs to be improved somewhat. Stay tuned!
Will there be an Eredan iTCG mobile phone application one day?
Chsxf: We are working on an application that enables you to manage your collection and access the marketplace. But setting up the whole game on mobile phones is far more difficult. We have been thinking about it since Flash is available for the development of native applications on Android and iOS, yet, for the moment we cannot say if there will ever be a release on Mobile or Tablets.
Are you going to set up a system that will enable players to swap with each other?
Chsxf: Not for the moment.
Will we be able to use a card in several decks?
Chsxf: Not for the moment, neither. But we are aware of that problem and we are trying to find an alternative that would satisfy everybody.
Why not add a chatbox to the game?
Chsxf: A chatbox is going to be set up with the clan module to enable members of a clan to talk together. As for now, you can use the IRC discussion channels (webchat.quakenet.org, channel #Eredan_itcg).
Will the tournaments be improved?
Chsxf: We are revising the module to offer different competition environments. That should come just after the clan module.
Is a return of the legendary pack conceivable?
Chsxf: It is indeed! ;p
Have you planned new trophies?
Chsxf: We are working on that. Some should turn up with the clan module. And we got a few very good suggestions that our developers will be integrating as soon as they come back to reality.
Have you planned to add keywords/ filters (chain, attack increase, defense increase, etc.) in the collection/marketplace searches or at least on the card texts?
Chsxf: It is. But here again, you will have to wait for the release of the clan module.
Would it be possible to set up a staff vs. players tournament?
Chsxf: It could. Yet, as our team is based in France, it would be difficult in terms of time coordination plus the fact that only a very limited number of persons could play against us even if we all play. And we don't want to organize that type of event and deceive you players.
Have you planned to revalue the levels of the players and their rewards?
Chsxf: We worked on levels and they will most probably be set up after the clan module. I can also tell you that new rewards will come up with the re-organization of levels that will go up to 50 (don't worry, the xp calculation system will be adapted to it even for senior players).
Will the weekly deck come back?
Chsxf: Sapphon is working on it. But he often moans about the quality of his computer and of his mic...
Have you planned to give the Elo statistics and the composition of the decks that “work”?
Chsxf: We are working on tools that should enable us to analyze the Elo precisely and automatically. Once that will be set up, we will share the statistics with the community the same way we share the results.
Have you planned to set up a reward system that would be larger and not only reserved to a few happy ones?
Chsxf: The reorganization of the tournament module includes a new system in which more players will get more rewards.
Will we be able to open several windows (for example a marketplace one and a fight one at the same time)?
Chsxf: No. Once you are playing, you are playing! It's a serious thing!
Could your posts be more precise?

Are we going to get the opportunity to win Fee'z thanks to trophies and missions?
Chsxf: Nothing planned for the moment.
Could it be possible for us players to choose the card that evolves in the evolution screen?
Chsxf: We are working on it. That should be part of our future updates set up to improve the interface and the handling of Eredan iTCG.
Could it be possible for us to choose the content of a booster, even if we'd have to pay more?
Chsxf: We have thought about creating “parameterable” boosters with several possibilities that would make the price of the booster vary. Yet it would be very difficult to set that up because the price is hard to estimate and would end up being prohibitive.
Have you planned to break the “3 characters” rule (sort of like The Venerable Shûlong)?
Chsxf: Only very occasionally, with characters such as Shulong and Kaes. Breaking the “3 characters” rule must remain something rare and fun.
Are we going to get a version 2.0 of Eredan (bugs fixed, rules improved...)?
Chsxf: There won't be any launching of a version of Eredan totally renewed. The improvement takes place little by little.
Will other cards be reedited or was it a unique event?
Chsxf: It's an exceptional event and no other one like it is planned for the moment.
Will some of the “useless”-cards be buffed (Poukos, Kroub, New Telendar, etc.)?
Chsxf: That is not planned for the moment.
Plans for Berzekers?
Chsxf: You mean, apart from a huge bender... Other Berzerkers will surely turn up one day
Have you planned to launch new guilds?
Chsxf: Not for the moment. It's complicated to launch a new guild. We'd rather let the Runics settle down before introducing new adversaries ;p
Why not have more rewards when one levels up?
Chsxf: The reorganization of levels includes attributions of rewards when one upgrades. It will be retroactive.
Have you planned to release Daijin as a character?
Chsxf: Not for the moment.
Have you planned to create a mercenary character who cloud boost the xp received by the cards? And new sorts of Guemelites?
Chsxf: Not now neither.
Will it be possible one day to get to sell cards on the marketplace without buying something every three week?
Chsxf: Players can already sell one card per day “immediately” for crystals, even if they cannot access the marketplace. We would like to extend this system.
Do the suggestions players make about cards on the forum inspire the Game Designers?
Chsxf: Sometimes!
When will the player profile be revised?
Chsxf: It is part of our projects. Yet, as for the rest, it's hard for us to give precise details for the time being. We need to finish the clan module first.
Have you thought about new races?
Chsxf: I can't say anything about that for the moment.
Will we get the opportunity to get rid of unsellable cards?
Chsxf: It's being examined.
Are you going to do something about the leave system?
Chsxf: Not for the moment. It's hard to determine who has left and who has just been disconnected, we don't want players who have a bad connection to think we are leaving them out.
Could it be possible to have tournaments with fixed decks (you cannot change as long as the tournament isn't finished)?
Chsxf: It has been sent as a suggestion, it's under study. It's a system that is very particular and therefore somewhat complicated (For example: some wait to take part in the contest to check the decks of the other players and block them more easily...).
Have you planned to launch a new mechanic to improve the gameplay (something more than multiplication caste/guild)?
Chsxf: We do search for ideas to make the game more varied but there is nothing concrete concerning that aspect of the game for the time being.
In the new content of the Dark Tower are there new mobs and new cards?
Chsxf: Yep, both!
What about the suggestions concerning foils? (remove the rainbow effect, change the frame, etc...)?
Chsxf: For the moment, we have decided to stick to the “Defoil” idea. Yet, we have looked at all the suggestions you have made and some are really interesting but quite hard to set up. We are still working on it.
What about the PvE debug?
Chsxf: We are working on it, and progressing little by little. Many problems associated to the PvE (but not only) are or seem random, therefore they are very difficult to check. Each time we manage to reproduce one, it is rapidly fixed.
When will there be a “sealed” system?
Chsxf: It's being examined, but it requires a lot of work that is why it isn't finished and we'd rather not talk about it for the time being.
When or will the starter decks be renewed?
Chsxf: Today ! It's on, and you can already buy them. We'd like to thank again the Guild Leaders for their work, and the players who helped us finish the starters during the Tournament.
Why not reedit events like the Pokeredan?
Chsxf: Why not indeed. We already have. But we are going to try and improve the system when it is necessary and possible.
Could the AoE spells be separated in three distinct ones: Big (no chaining), AoE (doesn't take the bonuses that don’t affect the spells), Big AoE (doesn't take bonuses and doesn't chain)?
Chsxf: It's a good idea, but the game would be far more complicated for new players. But why not...
Why not have more “unique” degrees: Elite (X elites per deck max) and/or give point to the cards (1, 2, 3 allow the construction of decks with X points)?
Chsxf: For the same reason, to avoid making the game too complicated. Yet it's not a bad idea.
Why not multiply patches to make some useless card more useful?
Chsxf: Card modifications are really rare. While if some of you would want them changed, other don't like when we modify their cards. That's why we only do it when it's for the good health of the game environment.
Will the Courtesans get refreshed someday?
Chsxf: We haven't forgotten them. We have discussed quite a lot about what we could do for them so that courtesan players don't feel neglected and we have a few ideas.
Could it be possible to turn the useless cards into account- or card xp?
Chsxf: We haven't planned to set up such a system for now, yet we are searching for a solution to enable players to get rid of their useless cards.
Will the Elo/ PvE/ normal Guild/ caste/ class accomplishment trophies be setup one day?
Chsxf: We like the trophy idea. But it requires coding so you'll have to be patient.
How many people work on iTCG?
Chsxf: Enough to change a lamp-bulb in less than 3 episodes ;p
Why is it that sometimes, there are characters on cards that have nothing to do with the card (A Warrior's Fury shows Aez when this card is reserved to Marauders, etc...)?
Chsxf: Some characters treated themselves to a re-specialization, so they could change classes... I'm joking Sometimes, the effects of cards get modified after the illustration is completed, therefore things like that happen. But we try as hard as we can to make things correspond.
Are you going to increase the game speed?
Chsxf: Not for the moment. We believe the game speed is quite good. And we have many other things to work on before.
Where has the clan module got to?
Chsxf: The clan module is virtually ready, it's the next game patch, we are testing it right now. Here's some juicy information:
The chief of each clan can promote certain members to the rank of Champion so they can help him manage the clan.
All the clan members fill the clan chest with crystals at each game (in addition to their own gains). This clan chest is then used to buy improvements for the clan, some of which can make the members gain bonuses.
The clan module release will lead to a series of clan trophies to be completed... in groups.
The Amnezy Tournament will display a clan ranking besides the players ranking. On the long range, it will be possible to display the complete list of clans to sort them by tournament or adventure performances.

I am happy a huge number of questions was answered, and I got two answers to my questions, yay!
However, I don't understand why Feerik thinks of my 2 suggestions as "far too complicated".
They actually make it easier for Feerik to balance the game in all aspects and increase the amount of viable decks.
I'd understand if Feerik said "it's alot of work", but "far too complicated for players"?
Both the split of AoE into Greater, AoE and Greater AoE, and the implementation of Elite, Ranked Elite or Ranks gives Feerik more granularity to fine tune cards (I gave several examples in my suggestions).
It doesn't add unintuitive complexity to the game.
It removes triviality.
Because the way the game is heading, eventually Decks may end up made up solely of Unique and Legendary cards.

I'm sad with the answers to 3 questions (actually they are all the same question):
- Will other cards be reedited or was it a unique event?
- Will some of the “useless”-cards be buffed (Poukos, Kroub, New Telendar, etc.)?
- Why not multiply patches to make some useless card more useful?
If Feerik cares for older cards, players will feel safer investing time and/or money into the game, because they won't be afraid their favorite cards will one day become (and remain) obsolete.
Feerik doesn't have to get it "dead on" in one go.
If a character is completely useless, give it a +1 to Min Attack or Defense or Health or Spirit, Order Bonus, etc.
See how it goes. Still weak? Repeat.
The game would only benefit from this.
Dead cards don't benefit anyone.
As it is, it's everyone's loss, Feerik included.

They are that against erratas? Unfortunate. Rebalancing cards would be a headache, but there is no way it could do anything but improve the game in the long run.
Oh well.
It doesn't need to be a headache.
No one would blame them for giving a minor buff to useless cards, and see how they work out - even without testing them.
Say [card]Valentin[/card], he could get +1 Health points. Would that be OP? No.
Alot other cards could get a similar, very simple trial-and-error treatment.
