Dandy(opponent's) had 2 jorusien placed on it. It had 8 health left. I had Crystal Storm on The Pythia and one on Archmage Anryena. I had played Compendium Secret and Breaking the second chain and gotten 2 copies of Shadow Master using their effects. That means that at the start of the next turn Dandy would take this damage:
Crystal storm (The Pythia) 3+4-2=5 and Crystal storm (Archmage Anryena) 2+4-2=4
So he should have died, but he did not, instead he only took a total of 3 damage leaving him on 5 health. There were no other damage reduction effects in play.

As I said there was no other cards that reduced damage, but even if one of those were in play the damage calculation on him was stil wrong.

Dandy don't get wounded by [card]Shadow Master[/card] because of Jorusens, that's all, the added damage effect not applied to him.

You miss read [card]Crystal Storm[/card]. The spirit used in the damage calculations are the character taking the damage spirit, not the bearer's.

So the calculations should be :
First Crystal Storm : 1 (Dandy's spirit used as base dmg for Crystal Storm)) + 2 (Crystal Storm bonus) + 2 (Shadow Master's bonus) - 2 (Jorussians reduction) - 1 (Dandy's Spirit) = 2
Second Crystal Storm : 1 (Dandy's spirit used as base dmg for Crystal Storm)) + 2 (Crystal Storm bonus) + 2 (Shadow Master's bonus) - 2 (Jorussians reduction) - 1 (Dandy's Spirit) = 2

So there should be 4 damages dealt with the set up you've talked about. The thing is you've probably forgot that your Pythie had Sylphide on her (+1 dmg), and that Tristam - a common companion for Dandy - reduces all damages by 1 (- 2 dmg). That would explain why Dandy took only 3 dmg. If you can give me your in game nickname, I would be glad to check it ;p

Yes I played 2 Shadowmaster. Also he was not using Tristam. My IGN is James_Bob.

Shadow Master only counts if it does damage.
If Jorusien negates Shadow Master, the magic damage doesn't get boosted by Shadow Master.

I don't even know how he got 3 damage, to be honest.
He should've taken 0 (or 1 if Pythia had Sylphide)

could possibly be a bug with shadow master, even double bug. Imagine it does "+2 damage" thing even if it does no damage, but 2 Shadow Masters dont stack with itself. In that case Crystal Storm (3+2-2=3)
