How to beat gimmicky permanent/item stacking decks?

These seem to be the only decks I can't consistently beat, or at least have a close/good match with.

I see this mostly with Pirates, Sap Hearts, and Queen decks, where they stack about 20 items/permanents on 1 character so if I can't kill them by turn 3 I've pretty much lost.

I run a DK deck and the only thing that really causes me problems is the Crown of the Border, and without being able to reduce their armor it's impossible for me to hit around 30 damage in 1 turn.

So what's a good card to use to counter these decks?

Yup, Freeze is Item stackers weakness usually, extinction is good against anyone who stacks cards when your char dies all cards activated by the opposing char that killed you, gets discarded.  But sap hearts if they are using [card]Items have a Soul[/card], you should use [card]Anathematize[/card], or have several [card]Shifting Sand[/card] cards usually take the bite out of that card.

Re : How to beat gimmicky permanent/item stacking decks?

Hmm...thanks for the tips guys.

Do you suggest running a dragons wit, freeze and extinction, or just one of the combos?

Extinction would obviously be easier to pull off, but if I don't get it until I'm down to my last char then it'd be for nothing.

[card]Familiar ground[/card] is better, if you use pirates you can use [card]Fortune and glory[/card] really good if you just used infernal cricket

Did you read the first post?
He's using a Dragon Knight deck.

Not much choice besides Unique or Dragon's Wit, and if you use Dragon's Wit, might as well use with Freeze.

use clumsines(to discard the crown) +the name of the dragon + magic attack
or just quickly kill the charachter, who will get all the items(queen/s.a.r.a.h)
+ always carrying sentence for the healer-bastard

Yeah [card]Sentence[/card] is a bitch but make sure you don't heal that round or it may/will hurt you too.

[card]Reborn[/card] against Queen decks, [card]Magic Attack[/card] versus high defense deck, [card]Cut and Thrust[/card] against Golems using Firon. You do not really need [card]Dragon's Wit[/card] as it can be a dead card.

What he said is relevant not to remove Firon, but to remove the Elfine Bow that is abusing Firon xD

Re : How to beat gimmicky permanent/item stacking decks?

I'm at this momment playing a fun version of the zil dagger deck (using the old [card]telendar[/card]...) with three [card]telendar's black blade[/card], 2 [card]Paranoïa [/card]and a [card]clumsiness[/card]...
I manage those decks pretty well (only probem is when the cards attach to my own characters...)

Re : How to beat gimmicky permanent/item stacking decks?

Lol I actually have both decks. DK's and a Foam giant Item deck, and I will agree that DK's will always have a hard time with them because they are not as likely to one shot the golem as other decks will have.

But Honestly I'm to the point with my foamy deck that I don't even use it because it requires you to get past turn 5 which is almost impossible to get to in this kinda play.

DK's are the perfect nemesis to craftsmen Items because it's those few cards in the deck that can make or break the fight. both decks are more than likely playing to turns 5,6, and 7 unless those cards come out.

In this case both DK's and Craftsmen need to be updated to deal with this power creep this game has going on. but that's just my opinion.

wow that was off topic...

In your DK deck do you have Kounok? If yes Paranoïa is a good choice!
