You're Fired

You're Fired

Action
All characters lose all castes they belong to. Chain
Duration: 2 Turns

A mile in everyone's shoes

Spell Shadow Zil/Nehant AoE
At the start of all fights, both characters exchange classes until end of turn.
Duration: 2 Fights

There are guild and race modifying cards, so I believe there should be Caste and Class modifying ones as well. I thought about making one or both of these unique, but with the drawbacks, it would be interesting to make a control deck out of cards like these.

I made a mile in everyone's shoes guild restricted for the purpose of eliminating Merc abuse of putting 3 of each in the deck. It's a spell (aoe) to restrict the chaining of cards to if you play something like counsel's banner. The combined two say Golemarlok is the only golem that could benefit from this (making him semi useful again). Debating whether it should last 2 fights or 5 turns.

You're fired only works on character's with a caste, and equally hates on the guild I designed it for: Zil. I know that the duration AND chaining may appear OP,
but it is situational and you would have to build a deck around it or suffer the consequences yourself, both of which could potentially slow you down just as much as your opponent. If I need to edit guild restrictions in, it would be for Mercs/Zil.

Any other thoughts?

"you're fired" would be a wonderfull Courtesan card (if it only affects ennemies)

Re : You're Fired

And therein lies the issue. Most decks are built around and rely on caste as much as they do class or guild. To use this card to it's fullest, you must put it in a non caste based deck. That's why I didn't restrict it to a guild. It would be a little extra powerful if it read something like:
You're Fired

Action
All Characters lose their castes
Duration: 2 turns
Courtesan: Your characters retain their castes

But if I added that condition, I don't thing it chaining would be fair.

Re : You're Fired

Maybe something like that :

Action
All Characters except Courtesan ones lose their castes
Duration: 2 turns

It's powerfull but i think this is what courtesans need

I don't know... I get my butt handed to me pretty regularly by well built Sitar Hero, unless I play my Galene's Golems and Chain 2 Good Jorusians first turn.

Yeah Sitar Heroes decks can be strong, but i was espcially thinking about other Courtesan decks as the old Control trio which gets his ass kicked right now

Re : You're Fired

I'm not quite as familiar with that deck, probably because it got kicked to the curb, like you mentioned.

I can understand the request now. I really think there needs to be a new court release soon. 3 cards from the Tristan event seemed a little shy from what some of the other guild/castes are getting. I want to see what Feerik can do with a new Legendary (NON-MAGE) Court.

Re : You're Fired

Tristam event provided only 2 cards !
And why non-mage ? Don't you dream of a full legendary mages deck Vérace / Ishaïa / New one ? smile

Re : You're Fired

I don't want Pirate mages to be more OP. Doyan, Ishia, and Mylad running full sets of legendaries is dumb. To have a third Legendary mage would make that deck so very unbalanced.

I think a court named Jack of all Trades would be nice.

Kotoba, Zil, Nomad, Merc
Warrior, Marauder, Mage, and Priest
Human, Undead, Golem, Shadow Guem

Spr = 1
Atk = 1/14
Def = 2
Life = 18

Turns 1, 5, and 9 = Chain Item
Turns 2, 6, and 10 = Attack +10/+4
Turns 3, 7, and 11 = +2 to Shadow Spell Effects
Turns 4, 8, and 12 = +2 to Thurgy Heals

I like the concept of both suggested cards.

These legendaries are so far in terms of power from new rare characters (and also legendaries).

In a spark things off deck, Ishia getting +1 damage to each card, and then Doyan being able to chain ANS to CV for the possibility of a turn 1 repeat (just the spark things off, since attracts lightning stay in play this turn). Besides OPilkim, I don't know many characters that can stand up to that abuse.
