Eredan Fanart - Realistic Djamena ( In progress )

The Hate art was done so quickly , because of that , i thought it sucked .

And i've just finished my final , so i have gotten lots of free time to draw Djdamena , one of my fav female charaters in the world of games

p4150191.jpg

Time ( so far ) : about 3.5 hours on A3 paper

The finishing art will have some changes about her cloth ( well i live with my parents and there are many "girl" kids so i don't want anyone to see me draw a woman with the sun symbol on her n1pple )

Please comment to tell me what do you think about this , thank you .

- Love the facial lines and expression.

- That hair is everything but realistic. It's supposed to look like hair, but shiny, and "gravity-less".

Suggestions:
- Darken the background enough such that the hair seems to have a light of its own.
- Don't outline the hair with the pencil. Outline it with the background.
- Soft hues in the color (or in your case, soft shading) should be the only thing that distinguishes locks of hair.
- Don't give the hair any real shading, because it has its own light.

Re : Eredan Fanart - Realistic Djamena ( In progress )

Much better.

However, dark outlines is comix/manga.

If you want realistic, you need to get rid of those dark outlines

You can "outline" her features with the surrounding:
- Give her a dark background and it'll naturally contrast her hair
- Her dark skin already contrasts her hair, no need to "separate" them with a dark outline

Overall, a great drawing.
Nice work smile
