With the new cards this week, is magic attack dead now? That one that reduces your enemy's defense to zero.
Distracted Rare. Action. At the start of the fight, the opposing character has Defense = 0 until the end of the fight. Chain. Duration: 3 Fights.
Now this is for 3 fights and is a chain, not 1 fight only like magic attack that is no chain.
This is good to pwn those high defense decks like kotobas and dks

its only in fight 2 and 3.
not first fight, cause fight starts befor cards are activated.
in fight 2 n 3 def=0 comes befor all new cards, so he can push def again.
in that case i would say magic attack stays the better choice, more controll

umm.. I understood now, i thought it got the effect right away.
So yes, this card may be good for the decks with some ramp up time to damage, so they can release max damage when pumped.
Magic attack is something more controlled, you choose who you want to use to fight the opponent without defense, now with "Distracted" you dont know which of your characters will fight him next time.

True, yet does [card]Magic Attack[/card] or [card]Scroll of Immobility[/card] say "until the end of combat"?
Just establish a default and stick to it.
If you want the default behavior of effects to be "until the end of combat", then do not state it in any card. Only state anything if it lasts until the end of Turn, Game or if it's Permanent.
If you want the default behavior of effects to be Permanent, then do not state it in any card. Only state anything if it lasts until the end of Combat, Turn or Game.
Define a universal wording like you did for Items, please.

The thing with Magic attack and Scroll of Immobility is that they don't say that the Def=0 is permanent nor are the cards themselves permanent. Distraction is somewhat permanent and last for 2 turns. After combat is over the defense will be restored until it re-enters combat and get Def=0.

So it only states the Def = 0 lasts until the end of the fight because the card itself has a different duration.
Makes sense.
But does that mean every card in the game that doesn't say anything lasts until the end of the fight?
[card]Crystallization[/card] vs [card]Cutlass[/card]
- All permanents now state that they are Permanent.
Crystallization is permanent (and states so) and states the opposing character gets -1 Attack whenever he attacks you.
This Attack penalty remains as long as the card is in play.
Cutlass is permanent (but doesn't state so) and states the opposing character gets -1 Defense at the start of each fight.
This Defense penalty remains only until the end of the fight (but doesn't say so).
Following the example of [card]Distracted[/card], Cutlass should state "until the end of the fight" because the duration of the effect is different from the duration of the card itself.
I hope I'm clear this time.
Yet I acknowledge a degree of universal wording has already been implemented into the game.
