what happens if...
how much damage you inflict on?
[card]councilor ishaia[/card](3) is equipped with [card]truth[/card] n' 1 [card]ice barrier[/card]
[card]marlok the repentant[/card](3) plays [card]cloning[/card] and chain another [card]cloning[/card]
The top cards in the cemetery are: [card]cloning[/card], [card]the last word[/card] and [card]lightning bolts[/card](3)

Ish wouldn't lose spirit because her ability is +1, even if the effect is a negative.
Marlok would have 3 defense from ice barrier, and would lose 2 Spirit from activating two clonings, and if Ishaia's effect works universally, it will render Truth useless, because every -1 will have a +1 put to it. This isn't a bug, just how Ishaia works, which is why you won't see "Philosophical Debate" used with Ish, ever.
So, being that the latter scenario is most likely, It would be the same as playing 1 ice barrier, and having marlok play TLW+LB3 using clonings. 7 Spirit, 9 damage before opposing spirit reduction.

If Ishaia's ability affects Truth... then Marlok with his Base 4 Spirit (and 1 defense) would:
- Gain +2 Defense from Ishaia's Ice Barrier
- Gain +2 Spirit from playing 1st Cloning
- Gain +2 Spirit from playing 2nd Cloning
- Gain +2 Spirit from cloning the 3rd Cloning
- Gain +2 Spirit from cloning Last Word
- Gain +2 Spirit from cloning Lightning Bolts
- Gain +(his defense) Spirit from playing Last Word
- Do 4+2+2+2+2+2+(3+ Defense) +2 =19+ Lightning damage to each opponent.
That's alot of nuts.
If Ishaia's ability doesn't affect Truth... then Marlok with his Base 4 Spirit (and 1 defense) would:

the version is almost correct.
Ishaias +1 acts on truth.
but the spirit bonus is only after the card activation.
+2 for the lightningbolts comes only after the damage.
so 17+ damage @ all.^^

As for the OP's question
It's hard to say what kind of insane stacking Truth can cause, especially because it'd only really work in mage or crossclass-mage decks, and when it comes to Mage Damage, LB3 combos are best.
Perhaps a Sap Multi-Race with Rockspeaker, Mage Kiezan, spiritspeaker or Cross Hailwalker.
Or the only mage deck that is similar enough to noz, Full Mage Dias.
Noz are, and apparently, will always be the Faster mages
Dais work slower, but hit harder midgame.
Truth would make these cards a whole lot better.
