- Haven't ran into Furagus yet.. My best idea against Furagu is Aging
The deck is "kinda" weak/slow but fun.

PS:
The only thing im not sure is Council mission, and the number of CS, Illuminations and Armor Invocation - Should I go +1 Divine Light -1 Vanish?

Ok, things you can do:

- Dragon's Wit + Chimera on Marlok for a 5 hp heal per turn
- Dragon's Wit + Hungry Void of course, you can even equip a Storm on Zahal doing this.
- Dragon's Wit + Vanish to avoid damage
- Dragon's Wit + Shadow Master to increase Storm damage by 2 next turn
- Dragon's Wit + Cloning for a free hungry void

Also, you can equip zahal with Chimera without a wit and use cloning on marlok.

I'm thinking of swapping out the two [card]Vanish[/card] for two [card]Divine Light[/card]. Both cards have merits though:

Vanish can help you dodge the It is time + Assassination or Finish Him! + Fatality combo easily. Cons: Only one character can be saved at a time.

Divine Light can heal a whopping amount of life across your three characters, but renders you more vulnerable to OHKO attacks.

I'm also considering [card]Chiaraoscuro[/card] as a possible heal/damage engine, but it makes you more vulnerable to permanent removal cards.

Also, I've found that hands without Crystal Storm in the first 3 turns tend to lose a lot, so I packed a [card]Deliverance[/card] in the place of [card]Storm[/card]. This gives me six cards that can get a Crystal Storm online (2 illuminations, 1 deliverance and 3 Crystal Storm) as fast as possible.

I also inserted Alchemical Golem for some extra direct damage and healing.

@ Jachal -> I haven't run into many of those decks yet. I suppose it's too much pressure on a suited-up Zahal to carry the entire match by himself in that case

@ EwokDan -> Yup, the decklist has one freeze for just that situation. Sometimes the guy gets lucky and draws into his jorusiens immediately afterward though.

I found that if you have Zahal in battle, and you play Dragons Wit - chain - Illumination... he can find and play Crystal Storm

Not the best of plays, but if he has Chimera equipped, it may be a bit difficult to lose :b

Just make sure Crystal Storm is the only Draconic Spell in the deck to make sure you get that and not something else, when u use Illumination.

And no, you can't chain AoE's with Dragon's Wit.
The only way to chain into AoE's is with cards that indirectly play other cards.
That means:
- [card]Illumination[/card]
- [card]In the Name of the Dragon[/card]
- [card]The Council's Banner[/card]

Dragon's Wit is only there to remove restrictions on the Illumination.

In its current incarnation the deck currently stands at 58 W - 20 L, which is a win percentage of around 75%. Most of the losses come from games that manage to OHKO one of the characters on the first round.

Thoughts?

Try squeezing in a Tadaa or a Fallback? I prefer Fallback. It counters better against frequent battle based decks. Fails against crows the same way Tadaa fails against Toutai/Quick Draw Saps

That could go in place of To The Rescue! I think. Will try that. Although Rescue prevents 1 less damage, it has chain, which is partly my reason why it was included.

Regarding Dragon's Champion versus Vanish -> Vanish is able to prevent killer attack combos like Flawseeker's Calling chain, or Time to Die chain, while Dragon's Champion seems geared towards the longer game.

Matter of preference, I think.

Thunder King package: Less synergy with the rest of the deck than the Zahal package, but has more offense and can turn into a real wrecking ball when suited up early. Also on theme. I do feel that Zahal is better overall though.

Conversion: So you have something to do when you draw extra Crystal Storms. Early crystal storms (i.e. turns 1 and 2) are still very much key to this deck.

Those 13 cards are what I believe to be the core of the deck. The remaining 7 cards are mainly depending on your preference. Personally, I opted for more ways to search for either Crystal Storms early or the Dragon's Wit + Vanish combo late, and a few ways to deliver AoE damage, so:

Premonition
Lightning Bolts L3
Explosion
3 I Hate Brawlers! -> Which I am still planning to replace with something else, I haven't found the perfect card yet.

I just tried to register for the ELO tournament and what, Illumination is banned? 25 cards in the deck? That makes this thing so much slower. I just sold them off T_T

Gonna go with a Witchblade Control build, I guess. But for what it's worth, this 20-card version of the deck runs very very smoothly.
