i agree with your point on the def part.4 starting def on a marauder seems a bit excessive However it might not seem that powerful, considering some deck might want to use souchi, azalys and lil laddie.

On the sisters part however, i wanted it to balance lil laddie from not having the bonus from the increased dmg, as well having a bit of a connection with azalys see ( [card]staying the course[/card])

The order bonus min= max seems nice but id prefer him to have a slight boost on min attack compared to his lv 4, so ill go with 7/11. thanks for your input nurvus

Hiya guys. ive played pirate marauders for ages, and i think that i would really like this character to be introduced ( or rather reintroduced). the flavour may not be correct story-wise, but that can easily be corrected by the staff.

Lil'Laddie, Hero of Bramamir    Lv 5
Marauder+Warrior
Spirit  : 1
Attack: 7/11
Def    : 2
Health : 14

If Azalys, the Five Times Widow is one of your characters and alive, the latter and Lil' Laddie, Hero of Bramamir get Attack +1 and Spirit +1
The physical and direct damage dealt by your other Pirate Marauders is increased by one.
Turn 1,2,and 4: Lil Laddie's min attack is equal to his max attack
Flavour: Cometh the hour, cometh the man

Lil' Laddie here is the lv 5 evolution for the rarely used Lil'Laddie. I kinda based the design on Saphyra the Zil ( no surprises there) and also the kotoba sisters.
I hope that the introduction of this dude will spawn two variants of pirate marauders, namely:
Defensive: Gemineye, Lil Laddie and Azalys
Offensive: Souchi, Lil Laddie and Azalys

Plus, the extra direct damage is superb with Infernal Crickets, as well as paving the way for new gameplay using cards like rain of arrows.

Your thoughts are welcome.

Anyone notice how awesomely powerful is the pilgrim is with WB and especially DKs?
it chains with arkalon's ability and believe me when i say its super effective wink
oh, and the effect is permanent if u are wondering.

best way to counter this deck, although limited to long-playing players is [card]the door to infinity[/card]. should u play [card]break the second chain[/card] in your deck, its safe to say its a free win smile

#32 Re : Deck and Strategy » Nehant's Splinter vs Dagger of Sufferance » 08-04-2012 14:21:49

i use dagger of suffrance mainly as a tactical defensive card for azaram. azaram here acts as a supporting dude whose main role in the setup is to use ecstasy+dagger of suffrance. it is essential that the one carrying ecstasy survives, and if azaram plays that combo, he'll have 5 def + 13 hp, which makes him difficult to one shot. this allows both torment and shadow to use aoe dmg. ive used splinter a couple of times and it sometimes ( admittedly rare) clogs up gameplay since only azaram can dual wield it. that said, i prefer dagger of suffrance for that extra 1 def which comes in mighty handy.

#34 Re : Deck and Strategy » Ice elves decks » 02-04-2012 23:00:54

I think this is a good way to start a post. Good analysis and sets up the guidelines for other posts to follow.

Hmm, a key card that u seem to be missing is [card]Frozen Spirit[/card]. Imo this card is strictly better compared to [card]Frostbite[/card], unless u plan to build your deck based on [card]Frost pillar[/card].

Personally i feel that the biggest advantage that the elves have over other decks is that they have some of the best free chains in the game in [card]Frozen Spirit[/card], [card]Agmundar's Rage[/card] and also [card]Six Feet Under[/card]. Coupled with the fact that some cards are totally useless against em, such as dissidence, and that they are generally hard to one-shot makes them a resilient bunch of blokes.

However, like the bane of many high hp decks, the chances of them winning on points should all characters die is negligible to say the least. Anyhow, ice elves are great fun to play with and i hope that they get some new cards soon smile

#35 Re : Deck and Strategy » indigestion is impossible to counter » 01-04-2012 04:53:04

Back to the original post, yeah, i agree, the card is OP. any card that makes the previous 2 stalwarts of discard ( panic and treacherous) obsolete is strictly OP in my book. the fact that :
1) it is chainable being a shadow shadow spell, and more ridiculous
2) you CANNOT choose which card u can discard while
3) requires no buildup ( as compared to panic)

supports my case. the game does attempt to limit the power of the card by putting that 1 card is recycled, but this only slightly limits the effect on courts based discard.

While i do agree discard serves its purpose in the game, to take care of other slow and annoying decks, i do believe that Circus does not deserve this card. On the other hand, i think pickpocket is a more rounded and balanced card. but thats just me smile

At the moment im loving the new market updates. basically all the broken market cards that ive noticed, ( kararine lv 3, torment, psychurgist lv 3) have been corrected.
The last action is going in the right direction ( currently 72k ).
Thank you feerik for making this update. I for one am satisfied smile

#37 Re : Update list » The secret of the Crow » 30-03-2012 17:53:51

who me? im neutral on this one ( im a pirate fan) but it will depend on who gets the better cards for the update

#38 Re : Update list » The secret of the Crow » 30-03-2012 17:29:18

use a nature guem deck, keizan, wreck and hundawa.
spam allergy to lower opp spirits, then play flowering, magic poison and unfortunate encounter

#39 Re : Update list » PatchNote » 28-03-2012 02:25:43

hmm, im curious as to how the changes affect foil versions of a card. based on my observations, previously the price of a foil is directly proportionate to the price of its non-foil, usually 1.5 times more than the non-foil. As per the new update, will foils be considered separate or still be influenced by the max price of their non-foil counterparts?

#40 Re : Deck and Strategy » Your Wild Buds Experience » 24-03-2012 03:49:16

lol yeah. i tried using 2, but then i realized the AWESOME POWER of stacking 2 wild buds. im trying to see if i can pile up 3 *grins* XD

Hiya guys. This is a deck ive been working on World-Tree and so far it has been awesome. Id like to share it with u guys, and please give comments.

(3) [card]Germination[/card]
(3) [card]Vengeful Lianas[/card]
(3) [card]Unfortunate Encounter[/card]
(3) [card]Flowering[/card]
(1) [card]Rain of Death[/card]
(2) [card]The Rain Dance[/card]
(3) [card]Wild Buds[/card]
(1) [card]Arachnophobia [/card]
(1) [card]Sentence[/card]

Basically the deck works to fully utilize the awesomeness of germination. Hailwalker is your All-Star here and basically shut down your opponent in turn 1 (T1) using double germination to root out your opponent's chains on T2 and T3. Even better is the draw of germination+quercus awakening which any one of your dais can do. I use warrior keizan instead of mage because i like using hibernate, but u can use mage if u want too

I find that the use of germination cuts through your deck really fast, since u basically play 2 cards ( 3 in fact) at once. Add to the fact that u really wouldnt want to 'hardcast' vengeful lianas since it takes a turn to activate. I  address this problem by using rain dance to allow u to discard bad hands( lianas) and get the card u want faster. Rain dance is very good here, since the deck is using 16 nature spells.  U would want to use full playsets of both encounter and lianas since  sometimes germination fetches nothing if u play less copies.

Ive playtested this deck and it does very well vs most mages, slow decks ( TG, DK , Avalonian) and even courts discard. Ive yet to face a good aggro deck tho, so i cant say anything yet. Anyhow, do comment smile

Edit: After reading your comments  ive come up with this new line up. Its very flexible and can go full aggro with RoDs, arach and flowering, or slow with germs and wild buds. The rain dance are necessary imo, since youll be discarding lianas most of the time and what with all the Circus decks running around. Anyways, thanks for your comments smile

nice..! hailwalker can now play 2 roots with germination.

i know, sweet right? now i dont have to rely on generic chains for le hail smile

#44 Re : Discussions about Eredan iTCG » premonition » 19-03-2012 07:21:12

i think its a great card for pure mages to play with the council's banner.
I.e, the phytia  plays premonition+ banner  for a higher chance to get crystal storm. u draw until u get 7, choose crystal storm ( the others go back to the deck) and banner plays the storm, so that your premonition is not a 'dead' card per say

#45 Re : Update list » The Chosen » 17-03-2012 12:08:40

I havent tried WT mages, but the warrior-guem version im trying is pretty nice. allergy is epic XD IMO the warrior version of WT is still pretty under-developed compared to the mage version. I mean basically no one plays warrior hailwalker

#46 Re : Update list » The Chosen » 17-03-2012 11:58:12

Yeah, im hoping for a good World-Tree release

#47 Re : Update list » The Chosen » 15-03-2012 21:27:51

not necessarily. u can put it on chalice at any point in the game, since the point is to let the chalice die anyway. id doubt his 2nd form would survive any fight ( bar courts or discard ) , thus making him an ideal target for the card

#48 Re : Update list » The Chosen » 15-03-2012 18:38:25

seems like a good card for chalice

#49 Re : Deck and Strategy » Knight of Honour » 03-03-2012 18:44:06

lol thanks. but discard shouldnt be a much of a problem in elo, we've got the saps, pirates and the demons to thank for that ^^ it takes a brave man to play discard atm

hmm, 1 living dagger is enough imo. if u have it, fame of the winners would be awesome in this deck

#50 Re : Deck and Strategy » Knight of Honour » 03-03-2012 18:29:55

id go with 1 dragons champion and 1 dragon armor
