Get your hands on the chaining daggers (Artrezil's Blade and Shadowblade) Then chain master assassin and hidden blades for some awesome direct damage, some of which you choose yourself. Also, Saphyra the Zil should be in the deck. She increases direct damage output and her turn order bonus is rocking.

You know that legendary card you have tucked away? Sell it. Otherwise play the market.

I went a different route. Ditch the swords and grab [card]Runic training[/card]. I use Cor [card]War Cry[/card] and Cor [card]Runecraft[/card] for a nice Runic Training set-up. Takes some time to set-up but Runic are now the legendary defenders... unless someone plays [card]Katamaru[/card] !!!

#4 Re : Deck and Strategy » Warriors are weak » 17-05-2012 04:23:52

You could try some weapons at will decks. Those are playable, just not at Elo level of competitiveness. I have seen some Sen Ryaku and her lovely friend decks on the rise, but those are more fun then serious.

Sounds like you leveled up recently and are stuck in the highest level Elo rooms. Best bet is to sell your cards and make a legit competitive deck while you get more cards. Training Room does wonders for keeping a new player sane. I ditched most of my cards upon leveling to 12 and got myself (ironically) a demonhunter deck. It is practically the same as it was when I first made it and still wins at around 50/50.

Or switch sides. I hear Nehantist is recruiting >:)

#5 Re : Deck and Strategy » Nehants Necromancian - Zil Dagger Marauder - Zil Priests » 17-05-2012 04:02:21

Well, made a Zombie deck with all the new cards except Fake Death and... it works very well. Some addons of Assault on Bram and Mastery for some boost and I have beaten some Zil Guem decks with Zejabel being only lvl 1. No joke.

Granted, it can depend on the deck it plays against and what undead actions are necrosized on turn 1. But once you get a variety necrosized in the discard pile, it becomes a fun game. Remember to keep Zejabel alive or your Zombies are toast.

The weakness is magic and direct damage. More so on direct damage. The deck can eat mages with Dread, hold it's own against Kotoba warriors with Necromantic Dodge, and licks the remainder of the Nomads if you combine They are everywhere! with Necromantic dodge. Never had so much fun with a new card dynamic as this deck. Go Eredan developers! smile

#6 Re : Deck and Strategy » Nehants Necromancian - Zil Dagger Marauder - Zil Priests » 17-05-2012 00:38:21

I see potential with the Zil priest cards, especially their new action card.

As for the nehants, making a deck to try out as I speak. Don't have any Fake Deaths though... that one brings some new mechanics to this game for sure.

#7 Re : Deck and Strategy » Need help with my Nehantists hand control deck » 14-05-2012 17:10:30

It's true with the bugging. If not for that, the deck would be much more playable. Made one to try it out and the fact that Hate is a demon is very saddening as well.

...Wish she was a Guemelite...

i m a zil circus priest player... and i love my deck... i m going like  (ò.ó) on anyone who says they are weak and stuff... of course they wont beat everything but they have a chance against everything and they sell themselves quite well if played smart enough...

unfortunately there are some ppl seeing a discard deck whenever the psychurgist is among them... and my poor terror clowns are reduced to nothing but discarders... pity but its exactly vice verca where the fun lies... when u push up to 9 cards in the enemy deck he is like going crazy... then forced to some strange moves... either dropping the shit and risk to get it thrown back at you or keep it in hand to prevent the clowns to use em again and thus limiting ure own gameplay to a few cards...

I've hit 1900 elo with those priests. Pity that they have no faith or anger...

As for the comment on the deck not being effective, try it first before knocking it. It's actually really fun seeing hand clog and, just when they think one priest is going down, +4 defense and more than half heal??? Chiaroscuro for a clean-up.

Gaishi a écrit :

Unfortunately, spoil the opponent's hand is not yet enough developed and far less effective than discarding cards wich is a victory condition.
At what point does it become a liability for the opponent? From the fourth round it is already too late most of the time...

The first two turns are mostly set up, defend and Chiaroscuro. Then turn 3 or more is the start of something beautiful. I love it when they let Terrifik go turn 3 with 2 Sarcastic Laughs in hand...

#9 Re : Deck and Strategy » Zil Circus – Fine tune help needed » 01-05-2012 16:33:16

Yeah, the Zil priest decks are expensive. Wait until they get some more permanents... >:)

#10 Re : Deck and Strategy » Zil Circus – Fine tune help needed » 30-04-2012 22:09:31

Ditch Kriss for Alyce. Helps with the discard aspect. Or if you don't have [card]Sarcastic Laugh[/card] take out Terrifik instead. I've found zil priest deck good if you do hand clog and cycling your cards back to the deck. It's hard to control the game, but is very possible and messes with opponent's heads.

It looks like your main attack is lowering spirit and hitting with Chiaroscuro while increasing defense. Interesting to see how that'll work on the truly heavy hitters (Ice Elf, The Pack, and a Solarian [card]Harshness[/card] deck.

#11 Re : Deck and Strategy » DH deck » 30-04-2012 22:00:29

The downside of the Kyoshi and Okooni deck is not being able to play [card]Pray to the Spirits[/card]. It's a clutch card. You could put it in the deck but then rosaries and no masks get removed and that's just not right.

Also, what if you use Nashi instead of Yu Ling? He grants and received bonuses from/to Kyoshi and Okooni.

#12 Re : Deck and Strategy » Very Weird Mage Deck » 26-04-2012 04:00:06

Played against this in he training rooms. Odd, but surprisingly effective... if you survive the first turns of stocking the characters. Cross your fingers for double clay smile

I know this is an interesting way to use dark light, but wouldn't ice crystals be a more flexible alternative? Obviously less boost potential, but also nice in that it doesn't depend on so many other cards to give a boost.

The cycling involved with this deck is incredible.

I've posted before without searching and while some take the opportunity to 'courteously' point out that my question has been answered, I don't blame the moderators or company staff for user comments. The internet is full of criticism, pointless insults, and half-baked thoughts. Best to get used to that.

And FYI, perhaps if you treated your fellow users with more integrity instead of snapping at comments you will get better feedback. I am also new, but I know I'm new and what that entails on forums. This is just a fellow noobie offering some advice. wink

Yes, but she can't chain from it unless there was already corruptions on the opponent, meaning turns 1-3 she is limited to one card. At least most of the time...

combine those magic damage deductions with things like runic gauntlet that give spirit when spells are played...

I have a feeling removal cards could be the key to beating the new guys. It looks like one of their leaders pulls items straight from the deck on his turn. And another gives bonuses to take down Guemelites. It might be safer to be a human mage then otherwise with this newcomer.

I stand by my quote. smile

Buy 1/4 of Master-Mage Pilkim haha.

Seriously though, Wild Buds could be an option. Plenty of cheaper spells and it's quite competitive.

I think their priests are heavy warrior support and not stand-alone. Otherwise they could be too similar to Solarian Nomads.

Based on the newest campaign released, it looks as though another guild has surfaced: Runic Legion. From the altered characters in the campaign, it seems they are a warrior guild like Kotoba, but with dare I say heavier weapon focus.

Hares has a lvl 4 upgrade coming and it looks like the market has no "Runic" anything on sale at the moment. Now this is purely based on the campaign and the trailer, but anyone want to wager a guess before release what tools the Runic Legion will be implementing?

My guess is a tyrannical warrior country hell-bent on eradicating Guemelites that are not War. I picture Roman Legion with some sort of Alexander figure leading them. I also see extreme reliance on Items but their runic properties may give them superiority over magic.

Any other fun ideas they might use? I realise I could simply wait, but how about some fun imagining before it begins?

how do you counter wild buds deck
I played zil aggro and eclipse, and if the opponents has an opti deck I can't do anything...
as I get roots, I have to choose between actualy try to counter him or attack.
and I almost always loose...
sriously, I tried a lot of things... magic shield doesn't really help since germination ain't no spell, and they can use their toolbox
wild bud is a damn PERMANENT fking AOE spell...that can even become a blast card when you've got only one char. left.
even with one clumsiness, one paranoia, 3 Harshness and one magic shield, I'm not even close to 30% win...
sriously it's the most broken card ever released by the staff... even extasy is easier to counter...

I've found new love in [card]Breaker[/card]. Especially turn 3... >:)
