I haven't spent a dime on this game, I get everything through the free feez.
"Free Feez" ends up taking hours of time doing stupid surveys and getting you on numerous SPAM lists, what a BARGAIN!
but how else do you expect this site to make money? In my eyes, an online game is a business before it's a game. Feerik wants to make money, and how are they going to do that?
They'll shell out a few bucks and get some feez and keep playing. A series of thousands upon thousands of Micro-purchases is what fuels sites like this.
I GET that, which is why I have spent around $500, $40 at a time over a few months. Which is far more than I have ever spent for ANY game, and I did so knowing I would never have anything tangible to "hold", if the company closes the game, I am screwed, I accept that. At what point to you get the recognition for "Brand Loyalty"?
Also, in my opinion, if you don't like something about a site, don't go on the site. Don't sit around and whine about something you don't like. Odds are they're not going to change it, so you might as well either get used to it or leave the site completely.
I call bu!!$hit on this!
If I paid as much as I have, I paid for the RIGHT to complain about the quality of the product or the service of the company, as you have NOT, I would agree that YOU do not have that right maybe, but when I pay $40/week, I GET to b!tch about losing the ability to use ANY portion of the game.
I see no reason to take away the ability to use the market, it's not like you can use it forever, with inflation and diminishing returns you do eventually HAVE to "re-up" and buy some packs, but to take access away, is wrong.
Say my Internet went down for 3 weeks after buying $100 in Boosters and I couldn't get online, how fair is it that for them to say "thanks for the $, buy more to be able to sell, thank you come again"?
I will never spend another penny on this game until I can sell the cards I already PAID FOR.
I "suggest" that they remove the limitation on how fast you can sell cards after you have paid REAL MONEY for digital currency.
Maybe this is not "new" but I just got a message telling me I couldn't sell any of the cards I have in the market unless I buy Feez FIRST!?!
WTF?? I have paid $200+ for this game and now they tell me I have to KEEP BUYING if I want to trade off my cards I already paid for??? They already charge a GD mint for the cards and now I have a "sell them or lose the privilege to sell them" policy??
What if I bought 20 boosters, and for whatever reason, decided to play with the cards and sell them later after leveling them, or got sick, or any number of resons, and couldn't or didn't CHOOSE to sell them right away? Now I have to pay MORE just for the right to sell cards I already paid REAL MONEY FOR?!?!?
This is outright horse$h!7 and I highly suggest Feerik change this policy because I won't be paying any more real money just because I am being blackmailed, especially when they haven't had a "sale" on boosters in 2 months, I guess they are getting tired of money, this is the wrong direction to go to make more.

Awesome, you took the time to type THAT but couldn't be bothered to type out something helpful like...
"If your cards are not already max xp/lvl you should be getting XP in the training room (or whatever room was supposed to give XP), you only get XP if you win/lose/either".
I will presume that I AM somehow supposed to still be getting XP somewhere.
My other thread about the "Training Rooms" not giving exp anymore, I guess that was a limited time thing, but 58 views and not a single response?
So I tested the other 3 options, the regular fighting room, the Beta Elo Room, and the Elo Tournament and none of them are giving exp for matches.
Is something broken or am I doing something wrong?
I have tried multiple decks, win or lose and nothing is giving XP, so how are we supposed to be leveling our cards/characters now??
If I am daft and missed some announcement or basic info please provide me a link to what I may have missed but even in the tutorial it shows you gaining Exp after card matches, but I am not...... little help?
I haven't played in a week or so but when I went in today and thought I wanted to level up some of my rarely played character cards I noticed I was getting ZERO XP. I know the rooms are "open" so I expect to get beat repeatedly but I used to be able to get XP for just participating in card matches win or lose, today, after 4 games, I have gotten absolutely zero XP on any of the 3 characters I am trying to use...
Whats the deal??
Can someone explain to my what benefit "healing" an already dead character to "just -4" would be? Dead is dead right? -4 is no less DEAD than -10 as far as I know.
It's time to play with GT
I assume you are being sarcastic... I tried checking that game out as I enjoy the style and art of Eridan but the GT version seems like even more of a $$$ suck than Eridan.
I know any company is in business to make money but in general the two Eridan games and the "Feez" system is ridiculously expensive. This alone will eventually drive me away from this game, I simply cannot see paying 10 TIMES the cost of a PC game ($40 at a time over a couple months) for something that I will never be able to "keep". In context, the current Magic card game costs like $5 for a pack of 14 cards and "rare" cards sell for $2-10 in stores and online and that takes into account the cost of paper, ink, artist, print, packaging,shipping... We pay about $6US for 12 little clusters of pixels that will disappear once the company decides they are no longer supporting the game like they ALL do eventually.
They can't dismiss the cost as "we have to pay artists" because frankly there are THOUSANDS of anime nerds on Deviant Art that draw just as well as the card art just for the fun of it so you can't convince me that they are paying the artists of Eridan that much.
Eventually everyone will decide they can't throw any more REAL $ at this Flash Game and the more people that decide that, the less fun the game will be, the more people decide they are done, the less people play...etc etc....
Give us something to DO, show us some entertainment value for our $$ since this basically competes with other games, going to the movies, going out, etc etc.
I have this card and I haven't been able to figure out what use it would be.
"Suspicion of Treason"
Zil Mage only
All Opposing characters become mercenaries until the end of this turn.
I can see if it lasted a couple turns, as it would deny the opponent access to any Guild specific cards, but I cannot find anything that benefits having the other characters Mercs for just the one turn.
Please to explain? Ideas?
Buying Zil Booster packs, bought 4 today. The wording on the booster is that all cards will either be Zil (the whole point in buying a ZIL BOOSTER right?) or UNALIGNED (I assume this would mean either Mercs or guildless item/action cards).
Out of those packs I ended up with Desert Nomad, Sap Heart, Noz, Pirate and Nehantist cards, in the end, I got more of THOSE than anything Zil or unaligned...
So why bother with "Zil Boosters" when they are obviously just the same as a "Premium Booster". Obviously if these other guild cards were WORTH anything I wouldn't bitch as much because I could sell them, but they were ALL COMMON or Uncommon and none sold for crap.
So how can I exchange all of this garbage for something I WANT for my $6.80US per pack?
When you charge as much as you guys do for DIGITAL CONTENT, it should WORK!
What's going on with the trophies? The tooltip says the dynamic slide out is shut off to ease server load, but the link to go to the Trophy Room is dead. Plus, even though it says that the events are still calculating that we can't see them and trophies will still be earned as designed.
The problem is, 20 mins ago, before I reloaded the site, it showed me at 86/100 on the weekly trophy thing, and now I have played 5+ games and tracked that I should have gotten credit for 27 "Attach cards to other player" and I have not gotten the trophy card.
Where is the actual trophy room and how will we know if we get a trophy reward card before the timer expires tomorrow?
I would like to suggest, request, or however you want to word it, some form of direct Fee=>Crystal conversion, or let us choose between purchasing Fee or Crystal in the Bank. After paying $40 for 2700 Fee I end up with nothing that will sell for more than 2000 and the new stuff is already selling at 150k crystal. On average I figure for $40 US, after I sell the cards I can't/won't use, I end up with MAYBE 20-30k in crystal... HORRIBLE exchange rate/return IMHO.
I GET that the developers/distributors are in this to make MONEY, but I have spent more on this little flash game in the last month than I have on actual computer games so far this year, and those I can hold in my hand and keep even if something goes weird online. So far I am telling myself it COULD be worth it because of the entertainment value and the fact that I can fiddle with it for hours from work killing time. But it is beginning to feel like I am throwing cash at this thing and still never able to get the really cool stuff that people put in the market to make a huge profit off of.
Otherwise, at least doing something to kill the inflation and exploitation of the market would be great. Maybe standardizing or capping cost/value of cards, "free market" is good in theory but when 80% of the cards are pretty much worthless, and then the other 20% are 100k-300k, there is no realistic, financially reasonable route to get from one to the other. I know I will lose interest in the game and stop spending money WELL before the point I have spent enough REAL money to get that ONE card I kinda want, but logically know will never actually be mine since it is a pile of pixels on your servers.
I think I have one godfather because when I very first started playing I got a message in game with some Feez attached but nothing since then and I can't find where I can "godfather" a specific existing friend.
So I wanted to take advantage of the "Godfather" thing so I could get some extra Feez, as well as let someone benefit from the Feez I purchase. However I can't figure out how it works. Are you only a "Godfather" to someone if they are a non player and you invite them to the game and then they purchase Feez?
Can you become a Godfather to someone that is already you FB friend and a player of Eredan? If so, how do you do that.
I want to set up a mutually beneficial system so someone gets a perk off me and I get a perk off them since I seem to be buying them every week, whether I like it or not. :-)
Can someone tell me which characters can be leveled above Lvl 4?
I see some in the market that are up to 5-6 but they appear to be the weird "combo upgrade" cards where you have to combine other upgraded characters into them, like Abomination and Shadow.
Specifically Merc and Zil but I just want to try to plan an upgrade "path".
Any help is appreciated!
I was wondering if there was anywhere online that you can see every card in the game, as well as the upgraded versions of each card?
I know you can search the market but often there are only some of the cards available and the unique or limited/unsaleable cards obviously aren't there.
Anyone found this?
Well all I can tell you is when I win via killing all the other players characters, I see a lot of "green" on each characters exp bar after the game. However, when I win via discard, at the end my characters barely have a sliver of green EXP increase each.
I think some adjustment should be made so that regardless of HOW you win, you get the same EXP gain.
If it is a valid tactic to create a Discard Deck, and win with it, you should get the same exp as someone that is using a Beat Down deck that kills all the other guys cards as fast as they can. Both are valid tactics and should count equally towards a win.
It could be argued that designing a deck that has to endure the beating and last long enough to win via discard actually takes more thought and consideration than just stacking a deck with characters and items that do the most +Attack.
Just a thought.
Any hints as to when the next "event" or "sale" might be coming up? I am holding off on buying more "Feez" until I see a deal, just wanted to know how long that might be. Easter maybe? July 4th in the US?
It's not your PC, it's the app itself.
Because it both dynamically searches AND constantly updates on the fly there is a LOT of bandwidth overhead. The only way around it would be a redesign so that you had to type in search criteria and then press a "search" button like most forums with a search ability work. For updating they could add a button that you press when you want it to update, so the trade off would be that you are looking at just the cards that were there as of the last "poll" of the server, if you want to see the absolute latest, then you click the "Update" button.
Just a thought.
I was curious about this "strat" so I made up a "Discard Deck" and won a few fights with it. The problem that I found though, was that you get WAY less XP on your cards for winning via discard than if you win via killing the opponent. I guess if all your cards are maxed out and you are playing in a tourney setting this is an acceptable trade off but it slowed my "leveling" to a crawl so I am going back to a DPS build for now.
OH, THAT kind of "free". Sorry but getting myself on any number of spam mailing lists or part of a "romance book of the month club" is HARDLY "free". ;-)
Send friend Requests but please mention "EREDAN" in the request
I purchased 2 trophies via Feez, as I understand it by doing so I get the cards shown in the trophy purchase window in the store. All it seemed to do was bump those incompleted trophies to the top of the list and turn them red. Where do I actually get the cards or did I just pay for the "privelage" to still complete the massive undertaking listed to get the card?
Where are these "Free" Fees you speak of? I started the game well before 3/3/11 and have never gotten a single Free Fee. What am I missing? Do you have to actually DO something to get them?
