I'm beginning to think i should go back to duel masters

Dual masters really, I think they have potential and need time or at least I need to see the higher levels of the cards. By the way anyone notice that zil no longer dominate level fives, this is because captain Al Killicrew has 4 upgrades, just like the shadow just no fusion.

When he levels up from level 3 to level 4, you have to choose one of two different versions of him. Like the two different level 3 Kararine. So Zils are still the only guild with a level 5 and a level 6 character (not that anyone wants to have to grind 8320xp over 4 characters which is the grand total xp you must get to make a level 6 abom).

Please make ELO mater for the average player. Right now there are at least a few thousand people playing on a weekly basis. And out of those thousands, only 3 will get anything out of it. There's zero incentive for the average player to play in it. Here are a couple of different suggestions to change this:

- Every week when the temp ELO is reset give a few crystals per point of ELO they have beyond 1500.

- Add a third currency to the game and when temp rating is reset give out of that currency to each player based on what their rating was. This third currency could be used to purchase Knacked, Rain of Arrows and possibly the other "special" cards.

- Have a lottery for the 3 promos and each player basically get a ticket for every point of ELO beyond 1500.

It would add competitive interest to the game. Right now I can't ever find anyone in the 1650+ ELO room and tournaments seem skewed toward those able to win extremely quickly. Plus prizes don't scale with the amount of people participating in them.

#3 Re : Discussions about Eredan iTCG » Bandwidth usage » 17-12-2010 17:00:18

It depends on your cellphone provider. If your bandwidth limit is in gigs (one gig is one thousand megs) then I wouldn't worry about it. If your provider gives you a limit of like 5 megs then I'd stay clear of Eredan.

The french version says attack +5, this one attack +3. Which is it?

If you made it so the timer started at 2 minutes and for every move you took, your timer would increase by 30 seconds (with a cap at 2 minutes) it would prevent abuses.

IE: You play normally and most of your turns take you less than 30 seconds. Your timer keeps being refreshed back up to 2 minutes. And if you need a minute and a half to take a pretty tough decision at some point during the game you can do it. But if someone's stalling, he'll only get to stall for 30 seconds per turn instead of the full duration of the current timer.

#6 Re : Discussions about Eredan iTCG » Coherence: Golemarlok vs the Witchblades » 01-12-2010 22:26:13

Now compare the witchblades to [card]The Eternal[/card] or [card]Ateb[/card]. More classes, more def, more health than Golemarlok. Cards of different guilds have different stats.

#7 Re : Discussions about Eredan iTCG » This is ridiculous! » 01-12-2010 15:50:02

It'd be more fair to the big spenders if they made the time limit stack up with every purchase. Like the first booster gives you 3 weeks and each additional booster adds another week. So yes, someone who spends a 1000$ would be able to sell his cards for nearly 4 years without having to spend again. But really, is that so bad? He spent 1,000$ for your company. And odds are he'll spend big again anyways, just not every 3 week.
And the whole "can't sell cards if you haven't spent feez recently" thing is kinda hidden. Why not put in "subscriber status" for those who've spent feez and "regular status" for everyone else, with the current status shown in the profile with a ticker to how long it will last. Maybe even add some small benefits to being a "subscriber" as well. But just adding this to the interface instead of it being hidden would be a good step.

Or change up the price distribution to scale with the larger number of players now playing the game. IE: Give 1000 crystals to the top 10% of players having participated in the ELO that week, give the current 3rd player price to the top 2% of players and the current 2nd place to the top 1% and the current 1st place price to the top 0,5%.
It would give a chance of getting these promos to many more players.

#9 Re : Discussions about Eredan iTCG » Next weeks cards » 13-11-2010 18:36:56

We can hope for them to add some level 5 / 6 upgrades that get unlocked by a guemelite of time. Zil have had a monopoly on level 5 / 6 for long enough.

#10 Re : FAQs » [FAQ] Card Upgrade List » 12-11-2010 17:47:54

For spells,

[card]The last word[/card] 3X -> [card]The last action[/card]

#11 Re : Update list » Eredan iTCG contest! » 11-11-2010 15:42:20

I know it says on the blog to only do one of the versions of the characters. You can do it's highest form or a lower one if you prefer. So long as you send only one.

#12 Re : Discussions about Eredan iTCG » Halloween Events and Tournament Feedback! » 10-11-2010 18:57:08

Is it possible to change the system for tournament up a bit?
Why not change it so that your first X amount of games count toward your real score and any past that number count for the tie breaker.
IE: In a huge 4 day long tournament, the first 25 games count in your score. You win 20 out of your 25 first games. You decide that's pretty good and decide to keep going. You play 100 more games because you have the time and win 80 of them. You have a score of 20 with a tie breaker of 80. Another good player doesn't have that much time on his hand and only plays 25 games and wins 21 games. His score is 21 with a tie breaker of 0. This second player finishes higher than the first player.
The player that plays more still finishes higher than he would if he played less but those that only play the minimum and have a good win ratio would finish a lot higher than in the old system.

Anyways, this is my feedback. Other than that I agree with Bleachman's assessment.

Edit PS: Also regarding the prizes, if you could change the prize handout to scale with the number of participants that'd be great. Probably the best way to do so is to give out prize to a % of the top players. IE: Top 0,5% get the "first place" prizes and top 2% get "second place" prizes so if there's 1000 participants like the halloween tourny, 5 players would get the first place prize and 20 would get the second place prize. Finishing 25th out of 1000 is still quite a feat.

#13 Re : FAQs » Are the "Fuzion" upgrades worth it? » 08-11-2010 16:30:25

Some are worth it. Abomination seems to always sell for more than the sum of it's many parts. Others, like the marauder Kararine, aren't worth it right now. If you want her don't fuse her with an assassination, just buy her already fused.
