I completely agree that there is absolutely no need for a nerf. even in my tempest deck i only have 2 dilemmas simply because they are only situational cards that are good in the first three fights.
if your not ready to be on the offensive by fight 5 at least then chances are its not gonna happen for you and your praying time blast shows up to save you, then it just becomes annoying staring at 2 dilemmas, and 3 time mixes when your hoping for an aging lol. (trust me, itll happen)

top ELO players are playing tempus this week, still think it doesn't need a nerf?

kilcosu a écrit :overall i would say that tempest just caught up to everyone else in the elo room, my best guess is that there is alot of hype over them now because EVERYONE is crying about the only two cards they got in the release. in a few weeks the hype will be gone and people will move on to different deck strategies.
dilemma or doloreann will probably be nerfed and tempest will most likely not survive in elo again so no one has to worry about that, just give it time.
There's no need to nerf dilemma or doloreann...
-The prestige
-Obesity as a counter for an incoming celerity
-Harshness with nomads, a well played dazzle (or just fast killing eclipse)...
-Hand-control nehant decks
-Good discard decks (and some luck)
-Ectasy nehants + [card]Storm[/card]
-Even a Sap Heart multirace with Pilferess... get iniciative, choose the character with butterfly collar (if it's rargnor even better), add some atk and quickdraw or lower the opponent def... boom D: moreover, at the second battle Silikat would be already able to use her double-attack ability :true story:
-And probably the worse.. no dilemmas on first turnsi mean.. they're strong and annoying.. i agree, but not unbeatable and since they have to "sacrifice" few battles to accumulate turns, hard hitting decks give'em many trouble.. so nerfing those cards will end up with Tempus decks on trash D:
and
- wild buds deck
- human trackers
- full noz mages
tempus mages have bad stats 2 def 2 (or 3) spirit, the cards are ok

I play with priest discard (pysco, kriss, the ethernal) there is any way, good card to fuck tempus?
No. Not really.
I mean, even before their new support Time Mix screwed with discard. Their new support just makes them better. Now they hit you with Aging/Celerity and finish off with some Heartrending Dilemma. It's just how it goes. Some decks go up, others go down. Remember when Witchblades were the shiz and you couldn't walk three steps without facing one? Yeah, kinda like that.
Also, LOL at a Discard player QQing.
Makes my heart sing.
dude we all know you play discard, we all seen your picture, we all know you QQ in every post, give it a rest ok?

You quoted me on this as well, so I don't really know if you're directing this at me. But if you are, no, I don't play discard. I play WildHearts and Spirit Trackers, as those are the only decks I have. I'll reserve the right to call you a moron until I'm sure you didn't include me in your post.
It is very annoying as you can't counter either of these decks EFFECTIVELY. I finally got my hands on the new kotori but this card is as useless as every common card out there.
tempus you cannot defeat because they have so much defensive power and are able to turn the counter to 15+ in 2 turns, in which time even if you are able to defeat all 3 characters they still do an insane amount of damage. mental prison? no, celerity! obesity? no aging! deflection? only if you are the last one alive, in which case they still have 2 more characters alive. dazzle? no, aging! demonic portal? no, aging!
discards: indigestion, indigestion, indigestion, gg.
I bet you 1 million feez that the top ELO player is a tempus.

Well obviously you do not play with Tempus deck nor understand how it works. Those 3 decks are powerful against Tempus and Tempus deck do not normally pack dissidence or clumsiness as they want to advance the time counter fast. Packing those two will slow it down and make them prone against aggro decks.

I think the main issue with tempus is the original concept seemed to be geared towards survivability. They pack plenty of defensive cards, recycling spells, and their char all have good to great stats. It was a caste designed to be able to survive until the later rounds in which you could unleash its full offensive potential. With the introduction of deleorean and heartrending dilemma, the designers seemed to throw this out the window basically, so now we have high survivability combined with the ability to get the counter to 13 or more by the 2nd turn. Meaning they now get the best of both worlds without any real disadvantage or tradeoff. Thats why so many QQ posts imo

My advice to QQ people is to test the Tempus deck themselves. If they cannot trust what I have mentioned so far, why not play the Tempus deck and they will see that what I have said about Tempus so far is true.
There is a reason why Tempus is not a top ELO deck. It depends too much on Heartrending Dilemma as a core card.

Tempus is kinda like Powder Pirate .
If you can't get the core card fast enough or it get ignored by opponent's card , you will lose

I can get behind this reasoning even as a tempus player. but unfortunately tempus survivability just fell so far as the releases came out. it always seemed that every other deck I faced before their release (and after) just didn't care that your defense can get to a 7 with two cards because they just played cards that reduced your defense permanently by x number or just to 0.
and I don't know if it was just me but I would play 2 time mixes as a sort of rush attempt at the turn counter and it would back fire and advance normally instead of the possibility of 4 (not even +1 half the time)
with tempus it simply was just either you get the perfect draw and luck with your cards, or you wait to die because you can not do enough damage.
