A lot of those cards can be combined with rares to make foil rares that are transferable. For example. I have Foil [card]Blast![/card] which makes foil Emperor's Speech. I also have foil silene, selenes, Bigrage, and many other cards and characters that make a transferable rare into a transferable foil rare. Not to mention, De-foil cards wouldn't be free; they would take up adventure loot slots and/or cost Feez. Either way, it's throwing away currency and/or cards.

A modifciation of:
- Change the disable foil feature to remove completely the display of foil (colours, animation)

Allow players to disable foil feature [color, animation, everything], but have the display differentiate foil cards while this feature is active with a gold [NOT foil/sparkly/etc.] border instead of the regular border display.

As long as you offer fair compensation to players who own foil cards. I have a ton of foil cards but the only reason I gather them is for their collector value. As long as I get compensated for the extra time and crystals I spent amassing my huge foil collection, I see no problem with their removal. Even more I would be sympathetic with the possibility of a quick cash-in.

The suggestion of having an option to make the foil card to only show having gold border would be nice so that there would be still distinction for it being foil.

Just put a option somewhere to turn of those animations. I never had problem of lag because of that thought, but if people have such problems just put an option to turn of animations.

I'm with Zurga on this one. I'd use a de-foil card if they were available. I can't stand them. In fairness to everyone's preference though, I think the best option is having the ability to totally disable foil effects and make them appear as a normal card. I don't really notice much of a difference currently when disabling foil effects from options.

To be honest, I think foil cards are painfully ugly. That said, this thread makes it clear that there are those people who value them. While I would absolutely support switching to fancier borders as a replacement, maintaining a way for people to foil their cards would be ideal.

hmm dont i fell stupid now , i thourgth having a foil card would make it appear faster in your hand , doooh , so its only for display , hmm crap , xxxx , waste og alot of money :-(

give us the ability to choose our own color.

or make foil card extre speciel without guild / or class/ race restricktion.

or put some initiativ on them so they wil appear faster in hand.

or chance to bring back card to hand / deck .

Unless I have completely misunderstood something, I think that the 'unfoil' idea wouldn't be a viable solution as I would assume that you could only make your own cards 'unfoiled', but wouldnt stop other peoples cards with the foil effect. Though I am assuming that it would be a card you could purchase to 'unfoil' them.

Im also assuming that the easiest way of doing things would be to change the option to turn the effect off, so that it would change the background like other people have suggested.

Since there is a bit of a division between the people who like the efect and people who don't then I personally think that being able to change the colour of the background to one that appeals to you would be the biggest crowd pleaser as other people have already suggested.

So whoever thought of the idea of customizing the background of cards, I am +1'ing your idea in a really long winded way .

Special artwork, not just different but maybe something that a player has drawn. Then let the community vote on the artwork they like the most...nuff said.

Never realized the option of foil animations was there, so I guess I have a decent enough laptop to run it properly, but I suggest. or rather re suggest this idea if it has already been up

Have the option of disabling the foil animations but also include (possibly in just the same button) the disabling how the foil card looks altogether making it LOOK normal.

its still a foil card in all rights and can be sold as foil (players buying foil cards would see it as a foil card if I had the option to disable it)

Have the foil symbol next to the card so the player knows what he is selling is or isn't foil (but honestly if i was thinking about selling a foil, i would keep track of it at all times)

players are happy, collectors are happy. no un-foil cards needed. ta-da your a bunny
