Throughout my Eredan 'career' I have always liked to play unordinary decks. Decks people usually wouldn't even consider playing. Decks I end up having tons of fun with! This is an oldish deck of mine, not really suitable for modern meta gaming, but definately a fun and nasty deck to face. This deck is based on Kotoba warriors. Not the usual three people tend to use, or one of those dull and simplistic defensive buffing ones with [card]Xin, the Ironbringer[/card].

This deck is a mixture between courtesan lures and rough and tough power. You use powerful weapons to buff your Kotoban warriors, such as [card]Wakizashi[/card], [card]The Emperor's Speech[/card] and [card]Life Devourer[/card]. Cards like [card]Randori[/card] and [card]Overwhelming Victory[/card] will keep you buff in both offensive and defensive ways. Courtesan nasties, like [card]Manipulation[/card] and [card]The Council's Decision[/card] will help you hold your line against the onslaught of your enemies. Add in a flavour of [card]Keep Your Guard Up[/card] to make sure things go fast when you want and how you want.

The characters you use in this deck are the two Kotoban warrior courts: [card]Lord Galmara[/card] and [card]Oogoe Kage[/card]. These guys rock it hard and are pretty damn awesome when you buff them up properly. I added [card]Sen'Ryaku[/card] as a third part of the team to support the boys, mostly as she also chains those nummy daggers. Another reason why I chose Ryaku is because she is such an underrated character and I wanted to prove to people that she can be more than useful in some ways.

In addition to the decks I will be sharing, I am going to add a self written fan fiction sub plot. This will help visualise how these characters actually engage in battle, which is what we reenact every time we play a game. An excerpt from the storyline I am creating to go with the decks I create. Here is part one:

Briscar viewed upon the piece of land the ship was approaching. A few pillars of smoke indicated a larger village nearby the shore, where they were going to land. He climbed down the mast to join the rest of the crew, waiting on deck, prepared for a fight. ‘Captain, it’s a village. Doesn’t look like they will pose a threat to us.’ ‘Great.’ said the red haired woman with a mischievous grin.

‘We cannot tolerate this any longer!’ yelled Lord Galmara while slamming his fist onto the table. ‘This is the fourth village these outcasts have raided in the past weeks!’ He looked over to Lord Gakyusha and the other assembled members of the Kotoba clan: Karasu Kage, Iro, Asajiro and Tsuro. ‘We have to do something!’
A few of the members nodded in agreement. The discussion was halted for a brief moment as Kimiko entered the room, bearing a tray of tea cups and freshly made tea. She served the tea and left the room with a short wink of the eye towards Asajiro. ‘We know nothing of our enemy, nor do we know when and where they will strike next.’ Asajiro established, once Kimiko had left the room. ‘We cannot just run around and hope to find them, let alone be able to defeat them without knowing a shred about them.’
‘Our informants tell us they are heading in this direction.’ Tsuro drags his finger along the coast of western Xzia. ‘They attacked these four villages and will presumebly attack this one next.’ he points out. ‘My brother Oogoe is already scouting the area and the shore line.’ added Karasu Kage. His deep voice emitting from behind his dark mask gave Galmara a shiver down his spine. He did not know much of the man, he did however know, that he could be trusted as well as that he was a fierce opponent in battle. ‘What do you think of all of this, my Lord?’
All eyes diverted to Lord Gakyusha who calmly sat in his chair and viewed the map solemnly. Gakyusha leaned towards Iro and whispered something into his ear. Iro, eyes closed. took a moment to think and gave a slight nod. ‘Lord Galmara, you will lead the scouting team and gather information about this unknown enemy. Take one of my warriors with you and group up with Oogoe Kage. Do not engage the enemy, unless directly threatened. Do you understand?’
‘Yes, my Lord.’

i had a similar deck in my mind that im trying to build too

but instead of sen ryuku, i'm using asajiro for his buff . I see no problem with the deck, although manipulation would be REALLY less effective with just 2 guilds (zil/kot). Maybe change ooge kage to his kot/noz version? ;D

Asajiro is a great character and definately worthwhile. But everybody uses him, that makes him boring in my eyes.

Noz Oogoe is kind of crappy, lol. The warrior form at least chains swords, which is a great plus in this deck.

yeah true ,but the fact that he's in some way a gakyusha + xin might exactly be what this deck needs =P

Well yeah i agree that noz Oogoe is a bit on the weak side, but frankly the reason i even considered him is his noz guild status, which would be great help with manipulation while facing noz (well barely,but yeah )

+ emperor's speech and wakitashi are just too expensive for me @_@
so i was planning on switching in tsume and other weapons in place of them =x

The problem with noz Oogoe is that besides the variety in Manipulation, he has absolutely nothing else to offer. Zil Oogoe can at least chain swords as well as play the warrior based cards in the deck.

Asajiro doesn't chain anything in this deck, and where he usually does a good job in popular warrior decks using him, its mostly because Emp chains into Wakizashi. Its a Dagger Kot deck, so gotta use the specialist.

always love to see unusual deck.

i have something similiar to. i call it the Crowtesan deck:P it's galmara (shadow) Karasu and zill oogoe. it's a really fun deck to play. and i think will be a really good deck when i have enough to buy manipulation and wakizashi.:lol:

Although w/o Ishaia + ice barrier combo it wouldn't be a 10++ def freak deck, but a 7~8 def Galmara is not too shabby either

and in change of ishaia's place is any card ( well, zil or kotoba only ) you'd want. asajiro for overall boost, karasu for crow , telendar for attack boost and 1 hit potential , ramen for craft splash, kinda awesome actually x)

Ishaia with ice barrier is kind of cheap imo. ._.

I have played many kinds of decks with ishaia, and I never used Ice Barrier with her. xD

I have been using agro-courts deck since courts was released, so many many months, and of all decks I tested , it´s with diference, my favourite, here´s my decklist:

-----Ishaia lvl3
-----Oogoe Kage lvl 3 (Kotoba/zil)
-----Galmara lvl3 (Kotoba/zil)

--3x Manipulation (no comments, best card in a courts deck)
--3x overwhelming victory (both combatants receives +1+1)
--2x council´s decission ( If isha plays it, best card in the game )
--1x Subtlety ( a lot of items to steal out there! )
--3x Ice barrier (come damn saps!!!)
--1x Freeze! ( anti golems, anti crafts )
--1x Lighning bolts lvl 3
--2x Life devourer (great weapon, life source, galmaara chains
--1x The ball ( game winner )
--1x Tsume (a little surprise inside the deck, kills ishaias, kotobas, golems...=
--1x A new start
--1x Anathemize

you use a basic court deck; thats not his idea. His idea is to make a deck not many people use, not one that every other person uses.

I have been using a similar deck to this one he is building for many time, but using oogoe, galmara and karasu kage.
Using crow cards and courtier cards, it was fun, but no worth for elo, this is the way you NEED ishaia for a elo courtier/combatant deck...
If he is just attempting for afun level room deck, then it´s ok...

Exactly what of Zil? The next deck I plan to post (with the continuance of the story I made) will be posted sometime next week. That deck is going to be a Zil one.

i dunno.. so long as it is zil They were my first guild so I prefer to play with Zil cards

agreed=)
up till now i only seen zill marauders ( abomb ,telendar and shadow ) ,the Pack and circus discards being zil. All quite nice ,but really lack of any mass variation =x

It would be awesome if you could show us some really bizarre yet playable zil decks
