Bleachdecks: My take on Trackers! [Hairless and Fancy-Free]

Trackers have been around for quite some time and are definately a major part in Kotoba decks. They are relatively reasonable and easy to make. They diverse in strategies, most of them based on [card]Malyss[/card] and [card]Hime[/card] rocking the house with [card]Katamaru[/card]. I have played such a deck before and had mixed results with it. Seeing as they heavily require [card]Tracker's Emblem[/card]s and [card]Tracker's Mask[/card]s to buff up their spirit for lethal [card]Katamaru[/card]s, it can happen that you have such shitty draws that this tactic is literally useless (It's no fun when you have 1-2 spirit and then die. xD).

So I decided to take a different approach and use a slightly different tactic to run my Trackers. In my eyes [card]Malyss[/card] is more of a crow than a tracker (character and storywise) and am leaving him out of this deck. This is a pure Tracker marauder beat down deck, with item elements to make some big and nasty attacks. The deck has been relatively successful while leveling it up in the level rooms, I haven't tested it out in ELO rooms though. I doubt it will have much chances there against the mindless mainstream decks most players play.

It is definately a fun deck to play, more fun than the [card]Malyss[/card]/[card]Hime[/card] [card]Katamaru[/card] combo type of deck. Feel free to leave your comments or questions on the deck below. big_smile

Characters:
-[card]Tsuro[/card] (Level 3)
-[card]Hime[/card] (Level 3)
-[card]Amaya[/card] (Level 3 Guemilite version)

Action Cards:
-[card]A Warrior's Fury[/card] x3
-[card]Assassination[/card] x2
-[card]Time to die[/card]
-[card]Storm[/card]
-[card]Armed and Ready[/card] x2
-[card]Keep your guard up[/card] x2
-[card]Obesity[/card]

Item Cards:
-[card]Shuriken[/card] x2
-[card]Life Devourer[/card] x2
-[card]Firon[/card] x3
-[card]Scroll of Immobility[/card]

That's a good-looking deck. I can only imagine your opponent's face if you discard 2 A Warrior's Fury on the first turn and slap him with the third one chained to Time to Die on the second turn. You also have some action cards and item cards that double as life gain.

Can you suggest a similar build that get's rid of the spirit-katamaru complication but uses more affordable cards? In your current build only 9 are easily obtainable (1 Assassination included). 2 require Fee'z and the rest require a lot of crystals.

Its kind of difficult to find replacements for some of those cards, as most of the rare cards have a special effect other cards just cannot replace. Mind telling me which cards you can use and which ones not?

Not really the Kotoba player personally. I was just thinking that people who want to work towards completing this build may not all have the required funds purchase all the necessary cards at once.

The specific cards I am referring to are the following:
2nd Assassination
2 x Keep Your Guard Up
3 x A Warrior's Fury
1 x Obesity
2 x Life Devourer
1 x Time to Die
1 x Storm

Would there be some temporary stand-in cards to replace these while a player is saving up? Or does this build only work as is, such that players with insufficient funds will be better off building towards the regular tracker deck build?

-[card]Assassination[/card] can be replaced by many cards. Would have to be user's preferred choice as there are many cards that boost attack.

-[card]Keep your Guard Up[/card] is easily replaced by [card]In the nick of time[/card].

-[card]A Warrior's Fury[/card] is a bit tricky to replace as it funtions as a card to shuffle through your deck faster and an alternative [card]assassination[/card]/[card]time to die[/card]. I would recommend either [card]Smart ass[/card] or [card]Weapon Dance[/card] until you get the big nasties. tongue

-[card]Obesity[/card] has a unique ability and is hard to replace. I would highly recommend saving for this card.

-[card]Life Devourer[/card]s are strong daggers and very good to use. No other weapon is compairable. You could however use [card]Emerald Sword[/card]s until you get the daggers.

-[card]Time to Die[/card] and [card]Storm[/card] are special cards and I would recommend anybody to purchase thes trophies to get them asap. All you need is around 400 Feez and doing free surveys should get you there in no time.

Most helpful.

I guess the starter deck cards like Do You Feel Lucky, Punk?, Blast, In Your Face, Weapon Dance, and Smart Ass can stand in for Assassination and A Warrior's Fury.

What do you say to Ambush though?

Emerald Swords coupled with In the Nick of Time sound good.

And yes, those trophy cards are quite unique... maybe some life gain cards since your weapons and activating cards don't have the life gain ability? Or counter cards like Anathemize, To Lay Bare, etc.

Replacing [card]Life Devourer[/card] with [card]Emerald Sword[/card] doesn't really work because you can't dual wield the sword and [card]Shuriken[/card].  [card]Simple Dagger[/card] is your best bet for a dual wield with Trackers when Devourer isn't obtainable.

As far as I know, Shuriken doesn't dual wield with anything. Everytime I equipped one thing, the other got discarded. O_o

If shuriken can't dual wield with anything even simple dagger, how about put in tracker's masks instead? They boost attack by 1 just like the dagger, but they also boost spirit and defense by 1 each. It's armor so it will "dual wield" with the shuriken. The only downside is the activation time, but is not that bad because it doubles as heal too.

You can equip one dagger and still use Shuriken, I used to do it a lot. So long as the dagger had dual wield on it, it worked.

If there were no luck in TCG, how boring would that be?

Mask is a great card, though it still kind of lacks the attack boost.

I rarely used Shuriken. I have other cards that were more important to play that offered a second card chain. Especially A Warrior's Fury and Keep Your Guard Up are important cards to play. I would still suggest using the Emerald swords, as you can always use more important cards to chain than Shuriken. tongue

Re : Bleachdecks: My take on Trackers! [Hairless and Fancy-Free]

I agree with you bleachman on Malyss, however I instead went the opposite way.

I've made what I've called a Yin Yang deck.

Hime
Malyss
Oogoe Kage (Zil version)

Firon x 3
Karajutsu
Ice Barrier x 2
Illsuionary Reflection (to hopefully help avoid Malyss dying too early)
Disagreement (another helper or when I pull...)
Tsume
Katamaru x 2
Trackers Emblem x 2
Overwhelming Victory (yay an ice barrier not on Malyss)
Tracker's Mask
Shuriken
Scroll of Frailty x 2 (help get those early items on without hopefully dying)
Kensensei
Restored Honor

It's a bit insane with a ton of different strategies but that is what makes it good, because I can get a character dropped and just roll to the next, but they all help each other and have nasty combos.

Thoughts?

Re : Bleachdecks: My take on Trackers! [Hairless and Fancy-Free]

Oh I took Kensensei out(Forgot it's warrior only) and put another Disagreement in.  But so far I haven't had a bad hand.  Maybe I'm lucky but I seem to always have something to play for someone.  Now sometimes a Firon lands on someone who has nothing, and sometimes Oogoe gets the Karajutsu rather then Malyss, but no deck draws perfect but at least there is always something you can do.  I mean what do you do in a IHAS deck when you draw all three in the first hand?  Anything can have a shitty draw.  Though I am considering Manipulation instead of an Ice barrier just so Oogoe has something more.

It's still too many possibilities. Those decks offer a lot of variety but are dman unflexible when it comes down to it. I like mixing and matching myself, but you have too many mechanics and strategies in that deck. yikes

I like this, got me playing my trackers again with a similar version.

On another note its not as good as storm but that explosion trophy card can be used by both hime and amaya.
