Adventure Mode - Boss Rewards Redesign

I think the way Adventure Mode rewards are handed to players should get a small redesign

Currently, you can get the same useless card over and over again.
Even worse, you can get the Adventure Rares like Guardian of the Ritual, over and over again, replacing what could otherwise have been a potentially useful Rare.
I've got 6 guardians at the moment. It's ridiculous.

This is how it should be:

1 - Whenever you get 1 of a certain Rare card, that Rare should get blacklisted until you get 1 of each rare that Boss has to offer.
2 - Whenever you get 2 of the same Uncommon, it should get blacklisted until you get 1 of each uncommon that Boss has to offer.
3 - Whenever you get 3 of the same Common, it should get blacklisted until you get 1 of each common that Boss has to offer.
4 - Mythical would have their own Blacklisting category, because they should not be guaranteed to obtain.
5 - Adventure Rares (like Guardian of the Ritual) should be included in the Rares blacklisting.

Blacklisted = can't get that card again.

Note:
1 - It would still be random
2 - You might still get crap
3 - You would NOT get the same rare twice in a row unless it happens to be the last rare left to obtain.
4 - However, you would, sooner or later, get at least 1 of every rare, uncommon and common that Boss has to offer.

how about
from your uncommon/rare blacklist last placed on list card is removed when some amount of possible cards is obtained
lets say 1/3 or 1/5
thats just exapmple, u know, obtaining rares shouldnt require only patients but also a little bit of luck

Come on guys lets be realistic here. To implement these suggestions Feerik need to do some intensive and elaborate coding which also require time and energy, and for what, just for players to get better cards? Feerik won't do that. As we all know Feerik would rather waste their energy in making op and broken cards or a milking event for them to gain money. I know it's harsh but that's the truth.

Another case, in a programmer's point of view, when you say that cards will be blacklisted it means each card that each player get from each adventure boss will be saved in order for the system to know what cards to blacklist. That will eat up a lot of space in the game's server. 

But I do agree adventure drop should be amended. I already suggested before an easy and simple system that doesn't require complicated codings. Instead of forcing you to accept random crappy cards, 5 cards will be shown to you and among them you can choose w/c ones to get.

It simply means each player has - from each boss - a list of cards identified by a simple card ID followed by another integer.
0 = you haven't gotten any since last "reset"
1 = you got one = blacklisted if rare
2 = you got 2 = blacklisted if uncommon
3 = you got 3 = blacklisted if common

al_vh1n, i know that it can require a lot of work and coddng but look at this that way
right now, for every single player there is a list of openned/not openned boxes in AM for every single boss
today there is more than 2 milion registered players
that is a lot of informations needed to be stored on servers
for this new suggested rules just make a condition: if u are not logged in game for longer than month or meybe even longer, your list is being reseted
that can make it equal in space required to store files on servers but will make this game more fair for active players
that change wont hurt casual players but will be fair enought for players who spends a lot of their private time on this game, that should be awarded

A decent idea but like 99.999% of ideas generated on the forums, they will never be implemented.  I'm completely with al_vh1n on this one.  If the idea requires any work at all, it won't be put into the game.

You already require luck to get a rare in adventure mode:
- You must not get unlucky with bugs/crashes/disconnects
- You must not get unlucky with awful hands, etc
- You must be lucky enough to actually get a rare

With my suggestion you still need alot of luck.
I'm just suggesting that when you DO get a rare, that it isn't always the same rare...
And while at it, the same for commons and uncommons.

My suggestion prevents that you get 2 of the same rare in a row; 3 of the same uncommon in a row; or 4 of the same common in a row.

Does every boss battle not have the opportunity to give every rare of that guild? That means that if you grid inferno for long enough you will be guaranteed to get Extacy. If you farm Noz for long enough you will get Last Word and so on.

I like this idea and think it should be implemented, but I thik there is some argument against it somewhere. I don't have said argument, I only believe it exists.

What I really hate in adventure mode is that my favorite guild, the Nehantists has bad chances on getting a rare on their campaign since the guardian is a guilded rare tongue. I was able to get more noz rares in two weeks than nehant rares in two months.

I got 37 of those guardians but also 33 nehant rares from adventure mode, so I am not complaining smile

No idea if he effects the drop rate. Before I farmed the Nehant boss each day, I farmed the Nomad boss. In the end he gave me 22 Desert Masks and 24 normal nomads rares.
A bit better rate, but random chance could explain the small differnce.

What does Feerik have to lose from adding some small measures to avoid players getting strings of bad luck?

You think it's okay that you got 37 guardians just because you got 33 rares?

Because people get frustrated and instead just buy guilded booster = profit. I'm surprised it has to be spelled out for you.

I don't play as much and I have about 20 something saltimbank's hat but I got about 15 rares.. I think it's ok.  Because it's F R E E.

I mean what's sensible to some may not be sensible to you.

If they change it, great, if not, I'm sure you will again think of some sort of mind blowing suggestion to improve the game. smile

heheh i do hope they have the decency to fixed the ridiculous drop rates if they're going to prove they're not just too greedy or at least care for they're "customers" ha ha

oh, here's another one: R A N D O M.  (i.e. booster drops)

I'm not saying the drops are great, but there is no sense to get worked up over a game mode that's free. 

EDIT: although, given the number improvements you provide, I think you may take this game more seriously than me.  I am more of a casual player.. big_smile

You should look at it from a different perspective.  I mean given that you are an experienced game developer very familiar with the code of this game, I am sure making the change is as easy as you say it is but they probably won't because most of their time are devoted to making sure that we have balanced card releases weekly and releasing innovations like our profile UI.

I can no longer chain with protection spells like Nehantic Sign, with Sentence or with defense nerfs for Inferno. It is much harder now as it is AOE.

Yes you can.
Compendium will now play a spell from your Hand as well as one from a Discard Pile.

Not sure if it's random, though, in wich case it sucks.
I don't have Compendium Secret atm.
