sorry but this deck does poorly against tempus, discards (indigestion), witchblades, and sap hearts.
new kotoba release was pure crap.

The problem with trackers is their printed attack is sooooo low compare to other marauders

Only applies to Human Trackers.
Kotori Kage is Shadow/War Guemelite.

Exactly. for the first build I would say human trackers are better i guess, but the guem monkey's ability to heal makes him the superior option if you want to stick around more then 4 turns. Not to forget i want to try out the new kage.
And I agree that kotoba part arn't that good, but its not like the new cards are all horrible in my eyes, actually i think sens of danger and steel body are pretty sweet. Transmission of knowledge isn't to bad either for a katamaru based deck. And what about makeshift weapon? a poor man's assassination for a tracker player.
Really the new tracker cards aren't all as bad. Of course they don't compare to the noz cards. But what did you expect, trackers arn't the best caste out there and might never be either, but at least they get a few extra options now, and there decks might get more varied. The caste feels like one that is designed to make cheaper beginner decks and they do that well, ofcourse the assassinations in this deck kind of defeat that point, but when I have them why not just use them.
The guem trackers are to slow to beat Tempus or world tree mage , but they fair well against slower decks and with acrobatic fight you can set up quite quick. They wont win you elo, but they can hold there own.
The deck sure wasn't meant to be a top elo deck or get even close, but rather to see what options the new cards opened up. ^^
Building deck around the new Kage. And the most obvious set ups are a new possibility for the now possible 3 guems or the old build with kotori kage replacing Hime.
I dont really care to play them with crow, as I am not a crow fan at all.
A setup of Kotori, a tracker and a crow could be fun to play around with, but once again I dont like crow to much, and am afraid this might make a bit to much of a fractured deck.

yup, I made this deck & 15 minutes later i sold katori, aswell the rest of the deck, it's ok against low tier decks, and that's it maybe if transmission lasted longer than 4 turns, and gave all war guems +2 defense, and crows + attack it would be better synergy, not to mention the main crow katarasu Kage don't reap the benfit of transmission either, but i must admit when you get transmission, katamaru, in the first hand and get to play katori 1st it's almost 99% a OHKO, but this deck is way too inconsistent, but hey if u like it play with it!

This just happened to me. First fight, katori being played with a katamaru and some other card; me mage. Dead. First fight of the game...
In my opinion such thing is absurd and it should be denied. I understand that a character can die in the second or 3rd fight of the game with a bit of help (buffs) from the other characters, but in the very first round is just absurd. And I'm not talking about lvl 1 characters...
Of course I quit in that instant and thought 'go fuck yourself'.
So yeah...enjoy the deck.

Lack of fair play is to go into fight with one character less, lack of fair play is the possibility of your character dying in the very first fight, lack of fair play is the matchmaking system (or the absence of one). Many things are not exactly fair play in this game. Me leaving from that particular fight is just a natural response...

You will find a character dead on turn one against more decks then just trackers. Hell, I have gotten a perfect in one turn before.

I'm not an old timer here, but I'm not new either. I have 300+ games played and yet is the very first time I get a character OSed in round 1. And to be honest I don't even care how often it happens; in my opinion it's just absurd for such thing to happen and it's lack of balancing.

The fact of the matter is, every deck has week spots. Mages happen to be weak to Kotori Kage's one-two punch that is Katamaru and Art of the Tracker.
Get used to it. Someone always has the advantage in a fight.

There is no excuses for leaving. They are absolutely no reason to do it!
leaving is what kills the fun out of the game.
you only got one shotted once on turn 1..? you must be a new player.
I do it once every 5 matches... hopefully not everyone leaves, but so many people do it, and IMO they are what makes the game sink...
of course it was not fair to you, and you probably won't have won, but how many time did you face a low deck that you just smashes without him being able to do anything...?
the difference of power of the deck isn't a reason to leave. The only good reason to leave is either you get disconnected, either you got something important to do and need to leave your computer.

I have to agree with certain characters and cards combo can enable OHKO on 1st turn. It's the same as being OHKO on 2nd or 3rd turn isn't it not? What's the difference of losing 1 character on 1st turn when you can lose a char on 2nd or 3rd turn on first round and giving a good reason to rage quit.
I don't rage quit but play on even though i lose 1 or 2 on first round. Chances are that you might be able to make a comeback and ridicule your opponent. Like the Pirates marauders can chance to narwhal 2 benches with the right cards. So if you lost a character on 1st turn, by turn 4 you'd be same last man 1v1. That's just one example.
There are alot of cards now enabling bench kills and one shot kills are common now, it's just a matter of what cards your deck consist of - hyperoffense or defensive or the mix.
Just sharing my point of view on why I don't rage quit or even leave to refuse an opposing player from getting perfect. Respect keeps the game going.

Definition of Fair-play in this game is here :
http://wiki.eredan.com/index.php?title=Fairplay
As you can see, playing until the end of game is the indication of fair-play.
You are a new player (300 games is nothing), play a lot and you will find that OHKO on first turn is nothing, you can win a match even with one man down.
It happens frequently that the first kill is not enough to win the game.

i have played almost 5x as many as that yet i still in a lot of ways think i am still new 300 matches is pretty low for one not to consider themselves new
their will come a day when the Katoba return to being a threat to all other guilds. I await that day.

I have almost 3.5k games played and I think i'm a noob, but yeah I've come back from one shots with my many decks, majority of people who leave are those who try to one shot you and get denied, or those who use AOE kills and get one terminated when...I could care less if they leave at start of fight before anything happens, or they leave after it counts against them (except right when i'm about to get a perfect on them and they leave, that irritates me a tad.) But I see lots of Non noobs leave just because they don't wanna mess up their %'s, cause they think that matters.
I enjoy using my Trackers against discard decks, struggles are more fun than complete domination, the win feels so much better.

Or you leave right before someone gets a perfect on you, because they did it to you....I got my list damn it!!! wrote down every name that's left right before i perfect them. Half joking tho.

Guys, could you move on from the leaving part? I understand many of you get frustrated when that happens - I'm bothered to some extent when that happens as well but think about the cause of the problem, not as much on the effect.
From a game design perspective this is flawed (first fight OS). When building a deck you have only 3 characters and a certain strategy evolving around those chars. Now if from those 3, one is dead in the first fight then at least a third (if not all) of your strategy goes away. Whats the point to fight a fight that you start with a hand tied behind your back and blind in one eye?
I have no problem when at the end of the 3rd fight you have 2 characters down. That is fine because that usually is a team effort/synergy/build-up, but in fight one is no effort at all. It's just plain stupid. And to be honest, any deck/character that can go to attack 15+ in the first 3 fights feels a bit stupid because it relies too much on your luck. If you don't start the fight with the right 5 cards in your hand, you're f**ked. If I want to play roulette like that I can go to a casino, not coming here.
Now about this leaving/fairplay crap...Some of you brag about your gazzilion games played. That clearly means you have quite a lot of experience, some well established decks, fine-tuned, tweaked and tested. How in the world is it fair for you to play against me in the level room or better yet against a level 13 dude or FTP player who just gets the hang of this game and has 20-50 games played? What would be the chances of such guy to even scratch you? Not even thinking about winning...
Btw, I have quite a decent deck and I win at least 50% of my battles but that doesn't stop me from pitying some guys that clearly shouldn't be playing against me. I mean, yeah, it's fun for 20 matches but then I get bored from squashing them like bugs. Now try to walk for a bit in their shoes and maybe you realize it's unfair to them.
Having experience/money invested in this game doesn't mean that it's fine to fuel your ego by destroying newcomers.
It's like you, as normal-healthy athlete, participating at a para-olympics race, getting upset because the guy in the wheelchair had the indecency of quitting the race on you and start preaching fairplay to him.
A victory is much more valuable and satisfying when you are playing against decks/people with experience around your level.
